Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"Another incomplete story again, huh?" I mumbled while staring at my computer. I've been writing for hours, but I'm still stuck in the prologue.

Earlier, while drinking my coffee, I imagined a story about an apocalypse where the number of people in the world was reduced into two. These two, a boy and a girl are considered as the heroes of the world. The girl who possessed an ability to reverse time sacrificed her life to bring back the boy to the past, 15 years from the present. After the boy returns, he looks for her first. Unfortunately, she doesn't exist. Meanwhile, the girl who reversed the time has miraculously reincarnated on the body of another person, someone that the boy doesn't expect.

For me, that was an interesting introduction. But the problem lies with me. Why wasn't I able to continue this story?

This story isn't the only one that ended up like this. I usually began with an interesting plot, and I even had a detailed chapter by chapter scenes in my draft. The problem now is that I couldn't write a dialogue on that part. Which is why most of my stories are stuck in prologue or in the first or second chapter.

For five years of writing, the only stories that I published are five stories. I guess, I somehow manage to create and publish a story once a year. Which is why, a reader of mine commented that I am a slacker who rarely updates and my longest story lasts only 30 chapters. Which is an accomplishment for me, but not for my readers.

I guess that was the reason why I am regarded as a third-rate writer even after five years.

I sighed. "Maybe I am a failure as a writer." I mumbled again and scrolled through the countless drafts in my computer.

How come I was able to think of a story in the middle of the night, right before I sleep and when it's time to write it, I am facing a severe author's block?

"What are you doing here, Zeana? Aren't you supposed to go to a fan signing event?" a familiar voice suddenly boomed near the door. It was my older sister, whom I am living with, right now.

After our parents died two years ago, the two of us, my older sister and I, started living in this house. My older sister, Zoey, was working in a company that is about 30 minutes away from our house. While I am a college student who loves writing novels as a hobby.

"What fan signing? You know my book has barely any reads, so what fan signing? I'm certain those who read my book are nothing but newbies who randomly choose a book to read." I replied and she just smiled at me.

"Well, I'm sure someone will eventually read your books. Aren't the plot of your books amazing?" she cheered before walking right next to me and messed my hair. "Anyway, I gotta go to work. And you? You should sleep first. I am certain that you didn't sleep, again." her tone changed into a strict one, before leaving my room.

For unknown reasons, my lips formed a smile. I guess, I have to work hard, really really hard. Afterall, I can't let my sister's sincere support be wasted.

But before that, I really need to do something.

With a stupid smile on my face, I ran towards the kitchen and grabbed a few slices of bread. I was humming while preparing my breakfast but then, I accidentally tripped and my face landed on the floor.

Good thing, my sister isn't here. If she is, there is no way she'll let this go without taking a picture as a commemoration and surely, she would be laughing non stop till she saw my annoyed face.

I immediately stood up and stuffed the food into my mouth. When I was about to run towards my room, I suddenly froze with the things I saw.

Wasn't I originally in the kitchen?

So what's this?

Why am I on the road? And a peculiar one at that.

I couldn't help but wander off my gaze around the area. Nothing resembles our kitchen or the area outside our house.

Am I hallucinating?

But why? Out of all places in my imagination, why in a place with castles and all?

Or am I dreaming? Did I fall asleep right after I tripped? Is it because I haven't slept for two days? But nah, I'm not that weak. I usually stay awake till the fourth day, and nothing happens. So what's this?

"Well, maybe I'm really dreaming." I shrugged off. That was the most possible reason why I'm here.

That made me pinch my cheek unconsciously. And... It hurts. Unlike what I heard, you can't feel anything when you are dreaming. So what's this? Why do I feel pain even in my dreams? Am I really dreaming? Or...

Did I trip and suddenly wake up in another world? Like in those novels? And my story title was like, "I am a writer but while making breakfast, I suddenly tripped and got transported into another world and acquired an overpowered ability that is needed to defeat the Demon King".

That made my face crumble. Just what did I think a while ago? And what's up with that title?

But I can't deny that possibility. As a writer, I wrote countless stories, though not continued, about a girl who suddenly got reincarnated in another world either as a main character, villainess or an extra.

So, right now, what am I? The main character with countless perks, a villainess with countless death flags or an extra that randomly appears with the main character or the villain.

"I guess, I'll just enjoy it here." I mumbled and shrugged. I was about to take another step when I noticed the situation of the world that I'm currently in.

Just why is everything frozen, as if time froze itself?
