Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

She didn't know if it was the wine, the emotions, or simply the comfort of his presence. But at that moment, she knew one thing she didn't want to be alone.

But Dhurba didn't want to take her with him, knowing she might regret it in the morning. He wanted her to wake up feeling good about the night, not questioning her choices. So, despite her protests, he gently insisted on dropping her back home.

When they arrived, he walked her to her room, making sure she got in safely. But with the wine still clouding her thoughts, Somika wasn't ready to let him go just yet.

"Stay a little longer," she murmured, holding onto his hand.

He tried every excuse, every gentle way to convince her, but nothing worked. She was stubborn, and tonight, she just didn't want to be alone.

With a deep sigh and a soft chuckle, he finally gave in. "Alright," he said. "But first, change into something comfortable."

As they drove back, neither of them knew exactly what to expect from this relationship. There was excitement, curiosity, and an unspoken question lingering between them—Where is this going?

Dhurba smiled to himself, recalling the endless stream of questions Somika had asked him earlier.

"Tell me the truth," she had said, her eyes full of playful mischief. "Has anyone else ever sat where I'm sitting right now?"

He had laughed, shaking his head. But she wasn't done.

"And have you ever held anyone's hand like this?" she pressed, tightening her grip around his fingers.

Dhurba had looked at her then, amused yet touched by her curiosity. She wanted to know everything not just about him, but about the past, about the moments that came before her.

And at that moment, as he glanced at her beside him, he realized something this, right here, was different.

They were both adults, and when there's attraction, undeniable, magnetic it's only natural for emotions to take control. The way they had spent the entire day, wrapped up in each other's presence, stealing kisses, holding hands, and feeling the warmth of one another, made it impossible to ignore what was building between them.

By the time they were alone, the tension was undeniable. Every glance, every touch, every lingering moment between them had led to this. It wasn't just about desire it was about feeling something real.

As they lay together, their fingers tracing unseen patterns on each other's skin, the world outside faded. It wasn't rushed or reckless it was soft, slow, and filled with unspoken emotions. A connection neither of them had expected, yet neither of them could deny.

And when it was over, as they lay side by side, hearts still racing, Somika turned to him, searching for something in his eyes—maybe reassurance, maybe understanding.

Dhurba simply pulled her closer, holding her in the quiet of the night.

Neither of them knew what this meant for tomorrow. But in that moment, they weren't thinking about the future.

They were just here. Together.
