Synopsis
"This jinx! What a jinx!" Years ago, a terrible accident left her grandmother crippled. Since then, no one had heard from her parents. Naturally, the villagers blamed the girl—Ye Lianhua, the cursed child. So when she collapsed suddenly in the middle of the square, they gathered around, pointing fingers, cursing her, and watching with cold eyes. Only one person cried for her. Her grandmother, now an old woman in her early sixties, knelt beside her unconscious body, begging for help. Suddenly— “Host… Welcome to your new world. System transfer failed. Host… wake up.” A robotic voice echoed in Ye Lianhua's ears. “What the hell is that noise?” she muttered, shifting lazily in her sleep. Hearing her speak, the crowd went silent. Then chaos. “The jinx isn’t dead?” one woman shouted, cracking open her groundnuts. “Is it her ghost?!” another shrieked. The crowd screamed and stumbled back in panic. Lianhua yawned, rubbed her eyes, and sat up slowly. “Where the hell am I? Wasn’t I just fooling around with six guys in a hotel suite?!” Screams. Confusion. Then— “Host, welcome to your new world. Due to a bug in the system, you have been transferred into the Ping Dynasty… with a Farming System.” WHAT?! Ye Lianhua, a carefree city girl who spent her days traveling, flirting, and living the high life, suddenly finds herself dumped into the body of a village outcast in an ancient dynasty. No phone. No food. Just dirty peasants, a suspiciously hostile village, and… a Farming System? With zero farming skills and an attitude problem, she’ll have to dig, plant, and scheme her way to survival—because dying again? Not on her watch. Enemies? Check. Snarky system voice? Check. Cursed reputation, tragic grandma, spirit chickens, and mysterious seeds? Double check. Can Ye Lianhua go from village jinx to divine farmer… or will this bugged system sow the seeds of her downfall?

Chapter 1 - 1- The Jinx Wakes Up

"This jinx! What a jinx!"

"She's finally dead, eh?"

"She caused her poor grandmother to become crippled, and now Heaven has finally taken her back!"

It was barely sunrise, but the villagers of Yunyue were already gathered around the unconscious body of a teenage girl, sprawled dramatically in the middle of the muddy village square like a sack of rotting grain.

Her hair was tangled, her clothes were torn, and her face—though pretty—was smeared with dust and what might have been chicken droppings. Still, the people stared without a shred of sympathy.

Only one person sobbed.

An old woman, frail and thin, her cane lying forgotten beside her. She was kneeling in the mud, holding the girl's hand as tears ran down her weathered cheeks.

"Please… someone help my Hua'er… my poor child…"

No one moved.

The baker chewed a sesame stick. The butcher leaned on his cleaver. Even Old Aunt Zhang, who once tried to sell the girl for two coppers, just picked her teeth with a bamboo skewer.

Then.

[System Initializing… Transfer Error Detected… Host Location: Ping Dynasty, Qinchuan Province… Error Code: 404—Dignity Not Found.]

Like a ripple in her brain, a faint blue glow flickered in Ye Lianhua's mind.

Around her, the villagers simply stared, seeing nothing but a dirty, unconscious girl in the mud.

[System Loading… Please Wake Up, Host.]

Lianhua groaned, eyelids twitching.

"Eh? She moved!"

"Did she just groan? I thought she was dead!"

Aunt Zhang snorted, popping another groundnut in her mouth. "Must be the wind. Or her ghost twitching."

Meanwhile, inside her head, the voice continued.

[Welcome, Host, to your new world. Due to a bug in transfer, you have entered the Ping Dynasty.]

The villagers backed away, panic rising when they saw her move again.

Just then, the girl sat up, rubbed her eyes, and yawned. "Aghhh… why is it so noisy? Why's my bed so hard? What kinda rat hotel did I fall asleep in…?"

She blinked.

Looked around.

Froze.

Dozens of ragged people were staring at her like she was a demon in makeup.

She blinked again. "…Where the hell am I? Weren't there six guys… and a jacuzzi…?"

Her eyes swept over the dirt paths, the chickens pecking someone's foot, and the ox cart filled with turnips.

Then she screamed.

"AGHHHHHHHH! WHAT IS THIS BACKWATER?!"

[Ding! Welcome, Host, to your new world!]

Ye Lianhua jolted as a translucent screen popped up in mid-air.

[Due to a system bug, your soul has been mistakenly transferred into the body of Ye Lianhua, local jinx and social outcast. Congratulations!]

"HUH?! Who's talking?! What kind of delusional fever dream is this?!"

[Initializing System: 'Farming Fun Plus'… Now activating Beginner Package… Loading Poor Soil Mode… Loading Rotten Luck Perk… System Active!]

"Farming WHAT?!"

She reached out to slap the floating screen. Her hand went through it.

Aunt Zhang made a sign to ward off evil spirits.

"She's definitely got a ghost in her now. Look—she's swatting air."

Lianhua looked down at her hands—small, callused, dirty.

Not her hands.

Not her nails—where was her nail polish?

Not her body.

Where were her boobs?!

[Please remain calm, Host. You have transmigrated into the Ping Dynasty. Due to an unexpected bug, you landed in a lower-tier farming village. All refunds are final.]

"Trans-what? Farming? Refund? WHERE'S CUSTOMER SERVICE?!"

She got up and promptly fell over.

Her legs were weak—malnourished.

Her stomach growled so loudly, a nearby chicken squawked in offense.

Lianhua groaned and looked up at the villagers still watching her like she might explode.

"Hey, you! Where's the hospital? The exit? My phone?"

The villagers stepped back.

Even her grandmother looked shocked, then started crying harder. "Hua'er… you… you've come back?"

Lianhua paused. "Wait. Grandma…?"

A blurry image surfaced—memories not hers. A tired woman, cooking over a smoky stove. Cold nights. Rotten porridge. Laughter… then tears.

She blinked rapidly.

This wasn't a dream.

She had really transmigrated.

Into a farming village.

As a jinx.

[Daily Task 1: Dig 3 plots of soil and plant radishes.][Reward: +10 EXP, 1 Hoe, Beginner Fertilizer, and a dirty cloth hat.]

"What kind of gacha game is this?" she muttered.

[System Bonus Tip: If you die here, you die for real.]

Lianhua's face twisted.

"…Great."

The villagers continued to whisper and gawk as Ye Lianhua wobbled to her feet like a drunk chicken. Her legs felt like jelly, and her brain like mashed tofu.

What the hell was happening?

She clutched her head. This isn't a prank show… right?

Then it came again.

[Ding! Beginner Farming Mission unlocked!]

[Daily Task: Dig 3 plots of soil and plant 10 radish seeds.][Reward: Beginner Hoe, 10 XP, and a Cloth Hat (Soaked).]

"Shut up! I don't want a cloth hat! I want Wi-Fi!" she shouted.

The villagers flinched.

"She's talking to the air again," someone whispered.

"Definitely possessed," someone else muttered.

"Maybe we should burn some incense. Or her."

Ye Lianhua glared at them, then pointed a shaky finger. "One of you bring me food. I'm starving."

No one moved.

She turned to her grandmother—the only person who didn't treat her like an explosive spirit. "Granny… I'm hungry."

Her grandmother teared up and nodded immediately. "I'll make porridge. Don't cry, ah. Grandma's here. Grandma will feed you!"

Lianhua blinked. Cry?

Wait… Was she crying?

She wiped her cheek. Wet.

It wasn't just the shock of waking up in the wrong century with no makeup and a talking farming app in her head. Somewhere, deep inside this unfamiliar body… something had cracked open.

A strange warmth. Pain. Memories. Hunger.

So much hunger.

She followed the old woman limping toward a thatched hut with a broken door and roof tiles falling off like dried leaves. Inside, the furniture was old, everything reeked of smoke, and a chicken was sleeping on the stool.

"…Is this a home or a poultry dungeon?" she muttered.

The system beeped again.

[New Location Discovered: Shack of Misery.][House Level: -1. Structural Integrity: 34%. Pest Threat: 72%. Comfort: NONE.]

"Can you stop being so rude? I just got here!" she hissed under her breath.

[System Honest Mode is active. Would you like to disable? Y/N]

"…Yes."

[Error: Option Not Available Until Host Reaches Level 10.]

She sat down on the stool. The chicken squawked and ran away.

Her grandmother bustled around the pot. "Hua'er, don't worry. It's not much, but it's warm. I knew you weren't dead. Grandma believed in you."

"Dead?" Lianhua muttered. "Why would I be dead?"

Her grandmother paused, eyes full of sorrow. "You fell from the old hill. Headfirst. The villagers thought… you wouldn't make it."

Lianhua tried to remember what happened before she woke up here.

She was on vacation. She was drunk. She was in a hotel bathtub surrounded by six sexy lifeguards…

"Ugh."

She pressed her forehead. "Why couldn't I transmigrate to a rich lady's body? Or a princess? Or even a tavern girl with decent cleavage?"

[Due to a System Transfer Bug, you have been randomly assigned the 'Jinxed Farmer' package. Congratulations!]

"…I will delete you."

[You cannot delete the System. Please farm responsibly.]

A wooden bowl of watery porridge landed in her hands.

She looked down. It smelled like sadness and boiled rocks.

Still, she gulped it down.

"Eat slowly, child," her grandmother said, gently patting her back. "You've been unconscious for two days."

Two days?! That explained the hunger and the severe case of dehydration-level lips.

The bowl was empty in seconds. She looked up hopefully. "More?"

Grandma chuckled, "I'll boil another pot. Maybe I can find a few peanuts left."

While the old woman rummaged around, Lianhua leaned back on the stool and exhaled.

Her stomach was less angry now. Her brain still confused, but not spinning.

She opened the system screen again in her mind.

🌿 Farming System [Ver 1.01 Bugged] 🌿

"Wait a sec… I don't even have land yet!"

[Land plot will be assigned upon completion of Tutorial Mission.]

"Tutorial?! You dropped me in the dirt and called it a bug, and now you want me to follow a tutorial?!"

[Please maintain a positive farming attitude.]

She leaned forward and whispered at no one, "I am a city girl. I have never touched a hoe. Unless you count my ex-boyfriend."

[Initializing Beginner Tool Pack.]

A soft poof! filled her mind. Then—

[You have received: Rusty Hoe ×1, Radish Seed ×10, Shabby Cloth Hat ×1.]

In her lap, a bundle appeared out of thin air with a faint puff of smoke.

She screamed.

The chicken screamed.

Her grandmother screamed.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" the old woman cried.

Ye Lianhua quickly shoved the tools behind her.

"Just… my stomach. Burped."

The chicken gave her a judging look.

She peeked at the hoe. It looked like something a five-year-old had carved out of bamboo and disappointment.

"…Are you serious?"

[Yes.]

"Can I at least choose what I plant?"

[You may select from: radish, radish, or radish.]

"Variety? You don't know her."

[Radishes are high yield and beginner-friendly. Good for hosts with negative charisma.]

She sighed, long and hard. The kind of sigh that could water fields if sadness were moisture.

Then she stood up.

Fine. If this world wanted her to farm, she'd farm.

Even if she was stuck with a buggy system, a haunted hoe, and villagers who acted like she farted holy poison.

Ye Lianhua looked at the tiny plot of weed-choked dirt behind the hut.

"…So where do I dig?"

[Everywhere. This entire village is fertile despair.]

She cracked her knuckles.

"Let's grow some damn radishes."
