Mi-jin Cerrera suddenly found herself possessing the body of Mi-jin Shinoa, who happened to have the same name as her— a character from the fantasy novel [Tales of Legends].
Mi-jin Shinoa is actually just an extra among the extras. She wasn't even mentioned in the novel. She's just probably one of those faceless people that barely shows on screen in a scene where the main character is involved.
However, having read the novel, she was aware of a certain information wherein the village where she's at will be destroyed soon. Majority of the village's residents died and there's no saying who died and who managed to survive.
Being aware of this and after experiencing the peace that this village brought to her, she had decided to save the village and its people. All she wanted was to enjoy this peaceful life in the village. Who would've thought that she had managed to 'unintentionally' attract the attention of the main characters of the story?
