The hall erupted into chaos the moment we rushed back in. The music had died, replaced by shocked murmurs and frightened gasps. Pack members stood in a circle, their bodies creating a wall around something—or someone.
"Move!" Kaelen barked, his Alpha command slicing through the crowd.
The wolves parted immediately, revealing the scene that had summoned us. My stomach dropped.
Lilith lay sprawled on the marble floor, her celebratory white dress stained with vivid crimson. Blood pooled beneath her, spreading from between her thighs. Her face was ashen, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"What happened?" Orion demanded, kneeling beside her.
Lilith's eyes, wide with pain and shock, found mine. "She pushed me," she whispered, her voice breaking. "Seraphina pushed me."
My head snapped up. There, at the edge of the circle, stood Seraphina. Her face had gone completely white, her eyes huge with horror. She stared at the blood with a look of absolute terror.
