"Akir, hey Akir stop it! STOP beating him. That's enough." He had beaten another one of those bullies. His hands were bruised and blodied. The bully had a broken nose.
"Hah.. Another weird dream. Who is this Akir and what was that place? Maybe I should ask my Mother about it." He let out a huge sigh. Today was a huge day it was his sister's birthday. He had a bunch of things to do.
He got up from his bed got changed into a lighter cloth and went to chop wood with his dad.
The world was medieval based. Clothes for commonfolk were just pieces of cloth sewn together. The upperclass people had the luxury of decorating their clothes with the finest leather and jewellery. Magic played a huge part in technology. It was used for various purposes from everyday cooking to even generating energy. The latest invention was a defensive artifact upon which if mana was imbued, it would form a shield around the user.
Abasha had about 130 people. It was near the border shared with the Demons. After chopping wood Aldrich returned with his father who wore a similar cloth. They had chopped 4 trees. Selling wood was another source of income.

After getting 6 copper coins the father son duo marched back home.
"Did you get a present for Elena?"
" Of course I did." He thought to himself 'If I had not then my wife would not even let me get in the house.' They were both on the way back home when some people started yelling and screaming.
"Fire, there's a fire. A fire has started on the elders house."
"Somebody put it out."
Upon hearing this Sebastian rushed to the village elders house. It was located at the centre of the village and was the biggest house of the village. In a swift as if teleporting Sebastian appeared before the elders house but it was already too late. Half the house had burned down and not far from the house lay the elder. It was a horrific sight. He had been pierced with icicles. People had surrounded him. Three of them coming through his abdomen but he had clung onto his life. He was an old man and it was sure that he would die.
Sebastian reached the elder.
Upon seeing him,
"Sebastian..." He coughed up blood.
"They were... here for you and your family. It seems like they know that the Germanicus family is here." He coughed up more blood.
"Could you identify them, elder?" Sebastian had an idea as to who it could be but he had to confirm it.
"I was going through the expense of the village when suddenly two men barged into my house. They... came straight up to me and threw me out of the house. I was certain after seeing the crest on their arm- It was them. They had their faces covered and then one of them they hit me with ice magic. Not much I could do at my age." Blood started pouring from his mouth.
Aldrich arrived and ran up to his father.
"Aldrich get home and tell your mother to leave the village."
"But father what happe-"
"Hurry up Aldrich. Get home fast."
Aldrich had never seen his father so enraged. He ran as fast as he could.
