Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: The Treasury

In Dream Heaven, four figures descended into a beautiful, ethereal palace.

"This is for you." Amanises handed a quill pen to Truman.

"It worked?" Naturally, with the Goddess herself acting, the Nightmare Dragon couldn't escape.

"The Pen of Alesouhod Pen…" Truman held the quill, an urge to write stories surging within.

It was the instinct of a "Writer."

Simultaneously, the dream ocean rippled, as if a force resonated with it.

The power of "Cause and Effect."

These two forces could merge to some extent, reaching a new level in manipulating fate.

"As expected, this pen suits me perfectly!" Truman was highly satisfied.

Sasrir eyed the pen in Truman's hand, his expression slightly odd, but he said nothing.

In prior Dream Parliament meetings, the group had made plans and compromises. The pen would "temporarily" reside in Deep Dark Heaven.

This was the Misfortune Goddess's reward for her personal intervention.

However, Sasrir's side retained redemption rights, able to reclaim it for a sufficient price.

But now, with the Pen of Alesouhod Pen in Truman's hands, was there any hope of retrieval?

Sasrir doubted it but wasn't overly concerned; the Dragon of Imagination's characteristics were enough for the Ancient Sun God.

"Who's next?" Lilith, uninterested in the pen, looked at the other three. "You're too slow. I don't want to wait centuries."

"The Abyss is next," Sasrir said softly. "The plan nears a critical juncture. Any disruptor now could be fatal."

Devil Monarch Farbauti was the greatest unstable factor.

For a wholly mad ancient god aiming to destroy the world and defile the cosmos, any action was possible.

Thus, before the Ancient Sun God launched the war to reclaim authorities, such instability had to be eliminated.

"If possible, I'd like you to act as well," Sasrir added suddenly.

"You sure?" Lilith frowned. Over centuries, she'd fully digested "Desolate Matriarch," becoming an angel with stable humanity.

But the Devil Monarch, an opponent she couldn't handle as an ancient god, was even less manageable now.

"It's a commission. I want all three of you involved, with enough power to crush any surprises," Sasrir said, his face turning serious, eyeing Truman, Amanises, and Lilith.

Truman mused, "The Abyss?"

"Yes." Sasrir nodded gravely. "I need you to help me assess the Abyss's current state."

"Next, the Creator will war with the Abyss's demons to protect humanity," Sasrir revealed the plan.

"Something got in?" Truman couldn't help asking. The timing didn't add up!

External entities should only invade this world later, with limited power.

At the Second Epoch's end, the barrier was exceptionally robust.

"Not quite," Sasrir denied. "Just preparations."

So, the Ancient Sun God made a prophecy about the future?

Truman could only say it likely came true.

In the future he knew, the Abyss always fared poorly.

"The reward is…" Sasrir paused, his gaze shifting between Amanises and Lilith.

"All known intelligence on the starry sky, history before the Second Epoch, and legal preaching rights after my Lord reclaims the Creator's rank."

"As for you…" Sasrir turned to Truman. "You'll oversee the Creator's Treasury."

This reward was carefully considered. Overseeing the treasury didn't change ownership; Truman could use the items, but if the Ancient Sun God demanded, they'd return.

Truman's eyes lit up.

The Creator's Treasury currently held at least the "Black Emperor" uniqueness, "Paragon" uniqueness, and several Sequence 1 characteristics.

If the Ancient Sun God successfully reclaimed authorities, it might include the "Door" pathway's uniqueness and Sequence 1 characteristics, plus more…

Until bestowed upon others, they were practically his!

Truman was very intrigued!

Amanises and Lilith nodded too. Pre-Second Epoch history and starry sky knowledge were critical, must-have assets.

The preaching rights would prove vital later.

"Agreed, it's settled." Sasrir finalized it without even asking Truman's opinion.

"Can I get the treasury now?" Truman was eager.

Since the Sage Robe integrated the "Master" Sequence 2 of the Paragon pathway, Truman gained the ability to craft mystical items.

He'd casually made Hermes a low-drawback mask before, proof of this skill.

With those treasures in hand, he'd soar!

Sasrir tossed a golden key to Truman. "This is the Lord's notarized key. Use it to open the divine kingdom's treasury."

"Great!" Truman held the key, faintly sensing a spatial realm—likely the Creator's divine kingdom's depths.

"This meeting concludes. Rest, then prepare for the next step."

Among the elves, the Queen of Calamity Cohinem returned to the elven palace.

After clashing with the Angel of Dreams, her state was poor, mentally chaotic and exhausted.

"Cohinem!" The Elf King's voice thundered, jolting her spirit, suppressing her inner turmoil.

"King! You bested the Sun! You shattered the Sun and giants' alliance!" Cohinem, restored, congratulated the Elf King.

"I'll personally carve a mural of this war, to be passed down through ages!"

Her words lifted the Elf King's mood in the mental palace, calming his irritability, allowing clear thought.

No wonder Cohinem became the Elven Queen!

"Haha!" The Elf King laughed, his voice like deafening thunder. "Exactly! Aurmir's now at odds with Gregrace, his deal with the Sun collapsed, eyed warily by all gods—a total loss!"

"That dragon fled fast, but the Sun and I struck it hard, wounding it gravely!"

The Elf King's tyranny subsided, his mental state improving, but Cohinem slipped into unease.

The Dragon of Imagination fled too quickly, raising suspicions. Who profited here?
