Su Chen rejected He Wang bluntly.
He Wang didn't expect such a direct refusal. He Wang sat and closed his eyes, resting.But before long, hurried footsteps approached in the darkness.
"Who's there?"Da Hu and Xiao Hu, on guard, immediately shouted out."It's me! Something's wrong!"A panicked voice called back.Da Hu held up a small lantern and looked closely, revealing the figure of a young woman—Shiao Mei!
"What's wrong?"Hearing the noise, He Wang stood up and walked over to Shiao Mei, his voice low and serious."Zhang Shao and Yang Zhen passed out from the heat while we were out scavenging!"Shiao Mei's face was tense, unable to hide her anxiety.
"What?"He Wang's brows furrowed, his expression serious.If it were A Biao, he wouldn't care if Zhang Mingyuan or the others died.But He Wang couldn't just ignore them.His sense of justice made it impossible for him to do nothing.And everyone followed him because of his straightforward and righteous personality.If he turned a blind eye now, his leadership would crumble.He Wang glanced at A Biao's position.It was eerily quiet over there.After a brief moment of thought, he made up his mind.
"Da Hu, Xiao Hu, come with me. Everyone else, stay here and be careful!""Shiao Mei, lead the way!"He Wang ordered.
Shiao Mei quickly led them out of the underground parking garage, and they walked under the bright moonlight to a narrow alley.At the end of the alley, they saw a person lying still on the ground.But strangely, there was only one person, even though Zhang Mingyuan and Yang Zhen were supposed to be together.
"Eh? Where's the other person? Did he wake up and leave on his own?"Shiao Mei looked confused."Never mind, let's go check it out!"He Wang waved, and the group hurried forward.
When they got closer, He Wang noticed the person lying on the ground was Yang Zhen.But something didn't feel right.Yang Zhen had fallen on his back, and there was a dark, sticky stain on the ground under his head, along with the sharp scent of blood.Something was wrong!
He Wang's pupils contracted sharply.Just then, a sudden gust of wind rushed past from behind him.He quickly ducked.But pain surged from his back.
"Ugh..."He Wang s*ck*d in a breath of cold air and spun around.In the darkness of the alley, several unexpected figures emerged.Leading them was none other than A Biao, grinning maliciously.The person who had attacked He Wang from behind was also A Biao!
