Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: The Self-Proclaimed God

"Hey— You there!" Just before a dark-ish room with bars in the front, there stood a masculine man in a blue police uniform. A sleek black baton hung from one side of his waist, a handgun on the other. In his hands jingled 20 to 30 keys — keys to the doors of prisoners.

Hearing the call, inside the cell, a man — no more than 25 — sat with his back against the wall. Medium-length black hair, dark irises, dressed in a full t-shirt and white trousers marked with black lines like prison tattoos stitched into fabric.

The man lifted his head, eyes cold and heavy. He didn't look at the officer like an equal.

No — he looked at him like a god looks at a dying ant.

As arrogant as the officer was, his face darkened immediately under that stare. A vein twitched on his temple.

"Come out— you've served your time here," the officer growled, teeth grinding like a machine, as if speaking those words physically pained him.

"Time served?" the prisoner repeated with a dead tone. He slowly stood up. "You think you can cage gods? Do you truly believe humans are capable of that?"

His voice wasn't loud. It didn't need to be. His confidence alone struck harder than shouting ever could.

The officer scowled, trying to keep his composure. "And who do you think you are to act like a god?"

The prisoner smirked.

"Who am I? I am Kaiser. And I am not acting. I am god."

A pause.

"Remember, you humans — you all went as far as to believe and worship men like Allah, Jesus… as gods, no?"

He stepped forward, slow and calm.

"Wasn't that because of some fabricated tales passed down by the same fools I had? People who blindly worshipped me, crowned me as their god?"

"Doesn't that make me god too? A god built on manipulation… and the fools desperate for something to believe in?"

The policeman froze.

He was Christian — but he wasn't a fool. Deep down, he knew. There was no explicit proof of the holy deeds he clung to in faith. And history? Always written by survivors, never losers. Fabricated, exaggerated… or rewritten entirely.

"Shut the fuck up, bastard. Don't make me break your legs on the day of your release!" The officer snapped, suddenly furious. He had no comeback — so he defaulted to the only thing he had over Kaiser:

Authority.

"My, truth does sting," Kaiser said with a slight smile. Then he walked forward, steps composed, power undiminished.

Gods don't rush.

---

"Hahaha! Behold— mortals! Your god has returned!" Kaiser stretched his arms dramatically as he stepped into the daylight, grin wide, voice echoing through the open yard.

A few people turned. Some mothers grabbed their children and looked away. "Don't look. He's a lunatic," one whispered.

But Kaiser didn't care. They weren't followers — not yet.

"Now... shall we meet our dear devotees?" he chuckled, turning left— only for the world to flicker.

The very fabric of reality began to glitch.

Colors twisted. Air warped. Light bent like water.

"What?" For once, a growl of confusion slipped past his lips. Even he wasn't immune to the unknown.

At the end of the day, Kaiser was still human. Charismatic, manipulative, unnaturally confident — but human.

He could predict people. But this? This was beyond anything mortal.

Then came the voice.

"Welcome… Self-proclaimed God of Lust and Control."

It was deep. Gravelly. Echoing from all sides.

Kaiser spun to the right — and there sat an old man with long white hair, seated comfortably in a floating chair as if this space was his living room.

"Phew." Kaiser let out a relieved breath.

The man looked human. That was enough.

He wasn't sure he could manipulate divine beasts or monstrous gods. But if it had two legs, a face, and a voice — he had a chance.

His rule was simple:

If it walks like a man, it bleeds like one.

"Hoh? So you think you can defeat me? Manipulate me?" the old man asked — despite Kaiser saying nothing aloud.

"So… you're the real deal, huh?" Kaiser muttered, amusement flickering in his eyes.

"You aren't scared," the old man said. "You think anyone who looks human is beatable. Predictable."

"Of course. They are," Kaiser replied coolly. His voice stayed level, but the bead of sweat rolling down his cheek betrayed his inner reaction.

The god smirked.

"Well, I don't want to waste your time… nor mine. I've got countless timelines to monitor."

He waved his hand. A red velvet cushion materialized before him, and he gestured for Kaiser to sit. Kaiser obeyed without hesitation.

"Kid," the god began, hands folded before him, "I've been watching you since your birth."

Kaiser raised an eyebrow. "So a stalker, huh?"

"No point hiding thoughts. I hear them anyway," the old man said, chuckling.

"You're amusing. And entertaining."

He flicked his hand again — this time materializing a massive 80-inch screen in the void beside them.

On it, a teenage version of Kaiser appeared, eyes wide, face practically glued to a TV screen.

"Fuck, they're so beautiful... I wanna bed 'em so much."

The screen echoed younger Kaiser's voice like a nostalgic memory.

"Ah… my uncultivated self," Kaiser muttered, eyebrows twitching slightly.

The boy on the screen kept ranting:

"If I was in the world of Pokémon, I'd bed every single woman with screen time!"

The god burst out laughing.

"Haha! Your childhood dream was… quite ambitious."

The screen vanished.

"And what's that got to do with me being here?" Kaiser asked.

"I'm intrigued," the old man replied. "By the way you evolved. From lust-driven teen to manipulative god. But most of all…"

He leaned forward.

"I want to know— can you actually do what you dreamed of?"

The old man's grin widened like a stage actor before a twist.

"You've intrigued me, boy."

Kaiser leaned back slightly.

A smirk tugged at his lips, sharp and full of arrogance.

"Then send me in. I'll show you… dreams of gods aren't dreams."

"They're the upcoming future."
