Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: The Pirate King’s Prison Visit

"Bestie~!" Milim squealed and lunged at Rimuru the moment she saw him, wrapping her arms around him. Ramiris fluttered over and perched herself on Rimuru's shoulder.

"How could you go off on your own without telling us?!" Milim complained as she snuggled into Rimuru's arms. "We're the strongest squad in the Rift!"

In the Virtual Combat Arena, there were many battle modes, but the 5v5 mode—basically like League of Legends—was by far their favorite. Unlike traditional MOBAs, this version allowed physical entry into the battlefield. Rimuru, Milim, Ramiris, along with Veldora and Diablo, made up a five-man squad that, thanks to Rimuru's borderline cheat-tier "Wisdom King" ability, had become an unstoppable force in the Rift.

"Alright, alright!" Rimuru gently pushed Milim away. "You're here now, aren't you? So don't be mad!"

"Rimuru, is this the new world?" Ramiris asked.

"This is the One Piece world," Rimuru replied. "But let me say this first—no causing trouble!"

"Relax!" Milim patted her chest confidently. "I swear on my title as a Demon Lord!"

Rimuru sighed inwardly. If I believed that, I'd rename Wisdom King to the God of Idiots.

"Confirmation: Do you wish to change the skill name?"

I was kidding!

"One Piece?" Ramiris tilted her head. "What's that? Another Demon Lord?"

"No, no," Rimuru said with a chuckle. "It's a legendary treasure—the greatest treasure in the world. Every pirate out here is chasing after it. Speaking of which, I'm about to go meet the Pirate King himself—wanna come?

"Yes! Let's go!" Milim shouted excitedly.

"Mhm!" Ramiris nodded in agreement.

"Then let's move out!" Rimuru had already located the prison. He grabbed the two of them and took off into the sky, casting stealth magic on them as they flew. Rimuru's stealth wasn't just invisibility—it also blocked out presence detection, scent, sound, everything. Even if they stood right in front of an admiral, he wouldn't sense a thing.

Thousands of Marines were patrolling the area. Rear admirals and vice admirals were posted all around the facility, and even the top brass—Marine Admirals—were guarding specific areas. That alone was enough to show how seriously the World Government was taking the execution of Gol D. Roger.

What they hadn't accounted for, however, was the arrival of three Demon Lords from an entirely different world. And frankly, even if they were detected, these three could probably wipe the floor with the entire Navy without breaking a sweat—and still meet Roger.

Rimuru led the way, with Milim and Ramiris trailing behind, glancing around curiously without a care in the world. They weren't worried about being discovered. If anything, the Navy should be the ones worried. Worst case? Knock everyone out and keep moving. The result would be the same.

Soon, a prison built entirely from a high-density block of Seastone appeared in front of them. Inside was a burly man with a massive moustache, wearing a red captain's coat. This was none other than the Pirate King—Gol D. Roger.

The moment Rimuru and the girls entered, Roger smiled.

"Well now. Didn't expect this," he said with a grin. "Someone actually came to visit a man about to die. Hmm? Two… no, three people? Two kids and a tiny flying… what, fairy?"

"Who are you calling tiny, huh?! I'm an elf! Elf!" Ramiris snapped.

"Rimuru, how did he notice us?" Milim gasped. "Did he just break your magic?!"

Clap clap… Rimuru started applauding. "As expected of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. So this is the legendary Voice of All Things, huh?"

"Voice of all… what?" Milim scratched her head, confused.

"Ah!" Roger admitted without hesitation. "The air itself told me you were here. Still, I'm surprised. So, who exactly are you? And just so we're clear, I'm not spilling anything about 'Raftel.'"

"Raf-tel-what?" Milim blinked. "What's that, Bestie?"

Before Rimuru could answer, Roger jumped in.

"It's where the greatest treasure in the world is hidden! Whoever finds it will own the world!"

Milim and Ramiris both lit up.

"TREASURE!"

As a dragonoid, Milim's definition of "treasure" was either shiny or tasty—and she was obsessive about both. Ramiris, on the other hand, just loved adventuring and discovering cool stuff.

Watching the two of them get sparkly-eyed, Rimuru sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"I'm Rimuru, and these two are Milim and Ramiris," he introduced them. "We came to see what the legendary Pirate King looks like… and also to bring you something."

Rimuru reached his hand through the bars of the cell. With a small burst of light, a giant sake barrel materialized inside.

"Oh!" Roger's eyes lit up. "What kind of Devil Fruit power is that? Spatial? Storage?"

Rimuru shook his head. "Not a Devil Fruit ability. Just my own talent."

"It's space storage!" Milim chimed in, eyeing Roger skeptically. "Are you really the Pirate King? You didn't even know that?"

"…." Roger was speechless. How was he supposed to know?! Still, his eyes gleamed for a moment. Not a Devil Fruit?

"This is from Whitebeard," Rimuru said. "He asked me to bring it to you."

"…He remembered?" Roger paused, then laughed heartily. He lifted the massive sake barrel with one hand and drank deeply. "Ahh… East Blue sake is still the best!"

"But," Rimuru said, a quiet smile on his face, "do you think you'll ever get to drink it again?"

Roger froze.

"What… do you mean?"
