Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

(There are many original settings in this book. Since only some of the top ten chefs in the animation Shokugeki no Soma are public, I have written many original characters and their signature dishes. My writing skills are limited. Please forgive me.)

(Forget it, I will stop pretending. Hand over your brain.)

"I'm sorry, we don't need a chef here."

"I'm sorry, but to be honest, it may be difficult for you to enter this industry at your age."

"Give up, Daichi. Although you are very talented, it's too late. No good restaurant will want someone of your age to be the chef, at least not before you prove yourself."

Daichi was born in a small town in France. His father was a chef who had graduated from Totsuki Academy, and his mother was a French woman who loved cooking. From an early age, Daichi was exposed to the world of cooking and developed a passion for it.

However, his father passed away when he was young, leaving him and his mother to run their small restaurant. Despite the challenges, Daichi continued to learn cooking from his mother and the recipes his father had left behind.

As he grew older, Daichi's talent in cooking became evident. He could recreate complex dishes with ease and had a natural understanding of flavors and techniques. His dream was to attend Totsuki Academy, just like his father, and become a great chef.

But life had other plans. His mother fell ill, and Daichi had to take care of her while managing the restaurant. The medical bills piled up, and they were forced to sell their restaurant. With no other options, Daichi took to the streets, doing odd jobs to make ends meet.

One day, while working at a local market, Daichi met a kind old man who recognized his talent. The man, who turned out to be a retired chef, offered to teach Daichi more advanced cooking techniques. Under his guidance, Daichi's skills improved significantly.

However, tragedy struck again when his mother passed away. Left alone in the world, Daichi continued to work and learn, never giving up on his dream of becoming a chef. He knew that one day, he would find a way to attend Totsuki Academy and follow in his father's footsteps.

The opportunity came when he met Gin Dojima, his uncle, who had been searching for him. Gin, who was also a graduate of Totsuki Academy and a member of the Elite Ten Council during his time there, recognized Daichi's potential and offered to take him to Japan.

With a mix of excitement and nervousness, Daichi accepted the offer. He knew that this was his chance to pursue his dream and honor his parents' legacy. As he prepared to leave France, Daichi made a promise to himself: he would become a great chef and make his parents proud.

The journey to Totsuki Academy was about to begin, and Daichi was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. With his determination and the support of his uncle, he was confident that he could achieve his dreams and become a chef worthy of the Dojima name.

Time passed by like flowing water, as if nothing was brought with it, only the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes reminded him of something.

Ten years passed in a blink of an eye. Daichi had worked as a baker and a pastry chef in this restaurant.

During these ten years, he had been learning what an apprentice learned: how to pick vegetables, how to peel, how to use different knives, how to adjust basic sauces, how to make flavored cheese, how to make bread, and many more...

Although Daichi was still far from becoming a chef, he quietly learned a lot of creative ideas for plating and seasoning from the chef.

With the help of the convenient environment, he began to learn about French cuisine, ingredients, and sauces, absorbing all knowledge like a sponge and turning it into nutrients for growth.

But what followed was a deep desire to be a chef, and Daichi also knew that according to the current progress, he might need more than ten years of accumulation before he could become a chef, learn the dishes on the restaurant menu, and then accumulate for an unknown period of time before he could create his own special dishes.

Daichi walked on the street like this, his mind rigid and his body numb, which became the main theme after getting off work every day.

There was no doubt that the repetitive work day after day killed Daichi's enthusiasm and creativity, and he gradually became numb and sluggish, finally becoming a stone without spirituality.

It was like being trapped in a swamp, unable to break free and could only watch himself sinking little by little.

"I seem to have seen the end," Daichi thought to himself. "Who would want a 50-year-old with no experience as a chef to cook? What about the chef?"

Daichi was filled with regret. If he had started learning since he was a child, he believed that he would be able to open his own restaurant and create his own life recipe.

It was a pity that when he discovered his dream and pursued it firmly, he was too old and missed the golden period of growth.

Unfortunately, the accumulation of the chef's road is the foundation of success.

"That's not necessarily true!" A powerful voice came from a distance.

Daichi turned his head sharply and saw a truck with an invisible license plate coming towards him.

The high beam in front of the car seemed to cut through the night sky. The next second, Daichi flew in the air.

At the moment of takeoff, Daichi also vaguely heard a familiar Chinese song. "Old driver~Take me~" Then he lost consciousness.

On the streets of Paris, a truck stopped on the side of the road.

There was nothing else on the whole street except this car. "You have stopped taking orders," a decadent middle-aged uncle got out of the car and lit a cigarette, sighing, "It's not easy to work these days. I have to go abroad. I don't know if the oil will be reimbursed."

At this moment, a familiar voice suddenly sounded on the phone, "Didi Cross-country real-time order, 639 kilometers away from you, from Turin, Italy to Junior Volleyball, with a surcharge of 0.001 ounces of time and space power."

The uncle said dejectedly, "No, I won't go no matter what, I request a vacation."

The mobile phone system paused, and the air was silent for two seconds, and suddenly the voice of "Order Accepted" was heard.

The just decadent uncle rushed to the truck with a brisk step, muttering something about artificial intelligence.

Then the truck sped away, leaving only the "Order Accepted~Order Accepted~" gradually fading away, and there was a faint voice begging for mercy, "Little ancestor, please don't accept it, I really can't finish it! I really can't finish it!"

At the same time, in a dark and deep space, a child who looked only five years old was floating in the air.

A planet floated over, and the soft starlight shone on the child. A dust floating around the star fell on the child and gradually merged into it. Then the child seemed to be attracted and gradually floated towards the huge planet.

If you look from a distance, it is as beautiful as the planet he came from. This means that a new story has begun.
