Recovering from the shock, Elder Yin shook his head and let his energy burst out once more. "Ketral, your head is mine!"
"Get me that artifact!" Ketral shouted as he pointed a claw at Seven.
As the two groups raced towards eachother, Seven sighed and looked down at her rifle.
"Yeah, I better not teach them about this. Might be to much for a civilization like theirs." She clicked her tongue and shook her head a bit before aiming back at the hostages.
As another Blood Claw went for the hostages, she let another round fly at the man's chest. As shout left his lips as he gripped the wound and backed off a bit. Turning to Seven he glared and swung his sword to send a wave of greenish energy fly towards her.
After bringing up her Mana Shield, she eyed the wound she just inflicted and gave a light huff. Seeing how the impact was, it seemed this worlds warriors were quite adept to ranged attacks. So long as they kept their barriers up, her bullets would act like they hit the bulletproof vests from her world.
"Welp, blame yourselves. You're the ones trying to rape the poor girls." Seven chuckled as she fired two more round at the Ku'Tel. One bullet shot past the energy wave just before it hit and dispersed around her barrier hitting him in the stomach to make him keel over. The second pierced his skull and sent him floating away from the hostages.
"Ignore the hostages, kill the Master!" Ketral roared as he summoned his blade to join the fight.
"Don't let them anywhere near Seven!" Elder Yin shouted as he cut down one of the Blood Claw and raced towards Ketral.
"Oh come on, I'm not helpless you know." Seven chuckled as she lowered her rifle and slipped it into her Void Corridor.
It was amazing to watch the different techniques everyone used against eachother. She had a feeling this was a scene she had witnessed before, but couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"Let's see, Elder's got their leader, the others are probably gonna fight two to one. With three dead, I suppose that leaves 8 to me? Hmm, better shield them with some weak shields just in case." Seven muttered to herself as she raised her left hand to cast Light Shield on Muten, Lu Bao and Lao Ying to give them a better chance.
She didn't have to worry about the Elder since he was pushing their leader back. The others seemed pretty inexperienced with facing multiple opponents of similar strength. Maybe she could throw in a few lessons after she goes over their basic handling.
"Gosh, look at me. Already eager to teach after so long." Seven sighed as she shook her head.
Just as she finished speaking, one of the Blood Claw had reached her with his blade aimed for her neck. Just before the tip touched her armor, she batted the blade away with a Mana covered hand. Surprised, the Ku'Tel tried to back away, only to have his throat gripped by the same hand.
"Hey you, what's your deal? Are you like a dragon or a lizard?" She asked the man nonchalantly as she pulled a pistol from the Corridor.
While the man struggled to get out of her grip, two more landed on either side of her. One trained his blade to try and cut her leg, while the other used a Claw technique aimed for her chest. To the struggling enemies horror, he watched as both of his brothers suddenly collapsed with holes drilled into their foreheads.
The movement was so fast, much faster than the sound of the explosions that erupted from this smaller artifact. Just what kind of monster did his Sect provoke?
"Oi, I asked you a question." Seven glared at him from behind her helmet, making the man fall limp in her grip as he passed out.
"Well, I can always ask Muten." Seven sighed as she dropped the man to leave him floating in place.
She then spun herself to kick the man in the chest, caving it in and pushing him into three more of his approaching brothers to stall their momentum. The last two managed to dodge the corpse and launch similar red wave attacks from their blades at her.
All she had to do was side step these waves while pulling a short sword from the Corridor. They then landed on either side of her and timed their attacks separately to try and confuse her. With each swing at her, their swords were parried away by her blade as she spun to meet each attack.
As she toyed with her opponents, she fired the occasional bullet at the enemies her guests were facing whenever they started to get overwhelmed. The others noticed their opponents would suddenly flinch mid swing or back off a little while holding their arm or leg. This allowed them to fight with ease as they adapted to this new situation.
After a few minutes, the explosions stopped coming. Elder Yin began to get worried about their savior, but the horror on Ketrals face made him more confused than anything. Their fighting slowed to a stop so the two could look back on the ongoing battle. It wasn't just them either. The others that had been fighting all stopped to look down at the asteroid in both awe and terror.
The sight could only be described as dangerously beautiful. Five Blood Claw Disciples of rather high rank were desperately striking at their opponent, shouting at eachother to fight harder or questioning what was going on. In the middle, Seven had long since dropped her pistol to weild a knife in her left hand and a short sword in her right.
Each swing at her was either met with a parry, each stab met with a dodge. Those that stumbled after each would be cut in some way, angering them and driving a harder fight. Seven was simply talking to those that were trying to kill her, her breath barely shaken.
"Widen your stance. You, with the spear, attack as I move. Anticipate my movement or make me step into a kill zone. I like your fist technique there, but try matching your attacks with your brothers. You two with the swords, stop staggering your attacks. You are on either side of me, so find a rhythm and try to wear me down with feints and slashes. Knife guy, I suggest training with a ranged weapon. Something to throw or shoot would work well with your technique."
"Lu Yin...who...?" Ketral panted as he watched the fight.
"We...just met her ourselves...we didn't think she was this skilled either..." Elder Yin panted softly as he sheathed his blade.
It was clear who the winners of this fight was. The rest of the Disciples all withdrew their murderous intent as well as their weapons when their respected Elders did. As the Elders flew down to the asteroid, the rest followed in suit to watch the spectacle before them.
It took a bit for Seven to notice what was happening. Seeing her fun should end, she sighed and lowered herself to spin and kick the legs of the Disciples around her, making them all fall to the ground.
"I suppose your differences are settled then?" Seven asked as she slipped her weapons into her Corridor.
"Yes, Master Seven. The battle is won." Elder Yin bowed to her with a warm smile. "Thank you for helping us."
"Come now, you're my guests. It's what's expected of me. As for you, I'm sorry for killing your Disciples. If not for how they treated the hostages, I would've let them live." Seven shrugged at Ketral, making him bow to her quickly.
"That offense was ours alone. Thank you for being so merciful." Ketral spoke quickly, swallowing hard in fear.
"No no, thank you for this. I've long since forgotten how fun it was to teach others. Your disciples are strong and motivated, but their techniques could use some work. I'm glad to see they know how to fight against a stronger opponent, but their weakness, well, I think that's more of a Sect thing really." Seven rambled on as she placed her hands on her hips and shook her head.
Everyone stood in awe at her words. How quickly she understood the intentions of their techniques was already astounding, but to be able to pick out their weaknesses was something no one was willing to teach.
It wasn't until Elder Yin cleared his throat to speak up that the silence was broken. "Master Seven, what would you have us do to the invaders?"
"Hmm? Why ask me, aren't they your enemies?" Seven asked as she folded her arms over her chest.
"There is an unwritten rule in the Murim. Those who have won the battle decides the losers fate, while the decision lies with the Master of the winning side."
"And I'm guessing you are claiming me as the master?" Seven asked as she rubbed the back of her neck.
"This is the case. Everyone has already agreed."
"Right. Welp, let's have the guilty explain first. I believe your name is Ketral?"
"Junior reports to Senior. We ambushed them a few days ago and killed four others while captured these two. We followed their Blood Trail here using the Blood Claw Sect's technique." Ketral responded quickly with his head bowed lower.
"Elder Yin?" Seven asked as she looked to the Elder.
"What he says is true. Though the ambush is to be expected as we are long time enemies." The Elder replied as he bowed as well.
"Good. Then, in accordance with my own rules I suppose, four of White Lilly died while only five of Blood Claw did. As these deaths were caused by me, Blood Claw lays no claim in vengeance towards them. Five bodies for the four dead and the mistreatment of hostages sounds like a good enough deal to me." Seven chuckled softly. "As this feud has been going on for some time, I'll let it pass and let you guys deal with it as you see fit. Sound good?"
"Junior is honored by your mercy, Senior." Ketral spoke up on earnest and relief.
"We shall obey your judgement, Master Seven." Elder Yin sighed softly, thankful that she wasn't angry.
"Now that that's settled. Oi, you five, treat your wounds and go over what I told you. We will start again once you've recovered. Elder Yin, since you two belong to the same world, I'll have you guide the asteroid. Everyone else, come see me for treatment so we can get started." Seven ordered like it was natural to do so, making everyone stand in stupefied silence.
"Started on what, Senior?" Ketral asked as he peeked up at Seven.
"What else but training? You guys are bad, the lowest level Thrall could kick your asses. Ketral, you can at least fight a high level, but only one at a time. Now come on, get moving!" Seven shouted and clapped her hands, making everyone move as they were ordered without question.
