Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Fall of the Fake Best Friend

Emily's face turned an ugly shade of green as the scandalous recording played on loop. The room that once adored her now looked at her like she was filth beneath their shoes.

She stumbled forward, her voice trembling. "T-this is fake! Selina, you're framing me!"

Selina didn't even blink. With an elegant flick of her wrist, she produced a thick stack of documents and waved them calmly.

"Fake?" Selina's voice was icy cold. "Emily, do you really think I'd return without receipts?"

The documents were slammed onto the banquet table, each sheet bearing undeniable evidence—financial records of stolen charity funds, fake contracts she'd used to siphon money from the Jiang Corporation under Selina's name, and worst of all, intimate photos with multiple wealthy sponsors she kept hidden behind Brian's back.

The crowd gasped again.

Brian's face turned deathly pale. He grabbed the stack, his hands trembling as he flipped through each shameful page.

"You… you told me you loved me!" Brian roared, his face contorted with rage and humiliation.

Emily fell to her knees. "Brian, no! It's not what it looks like!"

Selina stepped closer, towering over the woman who once ruined her life.

"Emily," she said softly, her red lips curving into a mocking smile, "thank you for teaching me that betrayal hurts more than a thousand knives. But now… it's my turn to teach you what it feels like to lose everything."

With a snap of her fingers, two security guards appeared.

"This woman is banned from all Jiang family events. Also, enjoy your new reality—every elite corporation in this city has just received a memo blacklisting you. From now on, even as a waitress, no one will hire you."

Emily screamed in despair as she was dragged out of the hall, her carefully constructed high-society life collapsing in front of everyone's eyes.

Later that night, standing on the rooftop garden of the hotel, Selina sipped her wine as the cool night breeze kissed her skin.

Damian appeared beside her, his voice low and magnetic.

"Enjoying the view of your enemies falling, Miss Jiang?"

Selina turned to him, her eyes gleaming like sharpened daggers under the moonlight.

"This is just the beginning," she said softly. "The real storm is coming."

Damian chuckled. "Good. I prefer storms."
