Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Elara was only able to come out from the study later in the evening, she went straight to the village center where the welcome party is being taking place. Peaksville is a village well know for their hospitality and grand welcoming irrespective of who the person is.

On her way to village center she passed by Mrs Sam's house, a widow. Aurora happens to run out from the house that same time, she was startled when she finally bumped into Elara.

"Why are you here" Elara asked looking at her

"I…I came to get something " she stuttered looking a bit nervous

In Mrs Sam's house?" She asked staring at her curiously

"Most of the preparations were done here so I lost my necklace while helping, but I couldn't find it, I'll just go look for it else where" she quickly said leaving in a hurry

Elara watched her hurry off thinking "that's weird, Aurora doesn't usually wear necklaces, oh well that's her business"

As she continued her walk towards the venue, Sadie came to her, pouting, "Hey, where have you been, you didn't show up all day."

"Brother restricted me from coming out and I had to read all day, I was only able to sneak out now, did I miss anything fun?" Elara explained as she grabbed a seat

Meanwhile Damien excused himself from the party after spending some time, he's not a fan of loud places, also he didn't want to get drunk as the excited villagers won't stop pouring him drinks.

He was able to make his way out of the overcrowded place and head straight for Mrs Sam's house, since that's where he'll b staying for the time being

His other colleagues were also hosted by different villagers so they weren't at the same place.

He soon reach the house, entered his given room and then went to the bathroom to take a bath and change into his pajamas, before laying on the well arranged bed.

"Could the villagers be any more nice?" He said with a smile and he intended to rest a bit before doing some work on his laptop before he'll finally retired for the night.

Sadie informed Elara about the handsome man she saw. Elara felt her friend was over exaggerating and wanted to see Him for herself.

Elara and Sadie walked around the crowd looking for Damien but couldn't find him

"Mrs Sam, where is Mr Blackwood?" Sadie asked after their search

"He left here a while ago, the poor man must be tired" Mrs Sam replied them with a warm smile

"I could see him another time, it's nothing" Elara said looking at Sadie who had a sullen look

"Fine, I believe you, I'm not doubting you, he must be really handsome" she said and Sadie eye suddenly brightened

"We could just go meet him at Mrs Sam's house" Sadie said

"No that's improper" Elara refused and Sadie pouted

"Fine, but we'll come back if we don't see him outside the house" she said and Sadie nodded and they both left the venue.

As soon as they left,Liam appeared. But he was coming from a different direction and didn't see them leave.

He needed to keep an eye on his sister, he didn't want her to have the same thoughts as the other village girls, going crazy over the developers. He doesn't want her to make a mistake that she'll regret for the rest of her life.

He searched around for her, but couldn't find her, he was about leaving when a group of guys dragged him into their midst.

"You should sit with us,scholar" one of the said forcing him to drink but Liam doesn't drink alcohol so he declined.

"Guys I really have to go" he tried to protest, but a soda was shoved into his arms

"You were always so busy you should spend some time with us today" another guy said and he sighed

"Alright then, I think I have some time to spare" Liam said the guys smiled.

"Something is definitely wrong, why do I feel turned on suddenly just by laying on the bed?" Damien asked himself while he rolled around his bed sweating hard, he just had his shower yet he's sweating again, his body is heating up right now and he's trying hard to fight his urges.

He stood up yet again and went to the bathroom to take another cold bath to help him calm down.

"WTF is happening to me"He muttered!.

Elara and Sadie walked side by side. The laughter and music from the village center faded behind them as they approached the quieter end of Peaksville, where Mrs. Sam's house stood warmly lit in the growing night.

"I still think this is a bad idea," Elara whispered, glancing nervously over her shoulder.

"It's not like we're breaking in," Sadie whispered back with a mischievous grin. "We're just… curious."

Elara sighed but said nothing more. Truth be told, curiosity had already gotten the best of her. She wanted to see the man everyone was whispering about the elusive Mr. Blackwood who had all the village girls talking, including Sadie.

They approached the house cautiously. The front door was slightly open likely from the light breeze, but it made Elara pause.

"Is it… open?" she asked, frowning.

Sadie peered inside. "Looks like it. Maybe he stepped out."

"No, Mrs. Sam said he went to rest…" Elara hesitated, then stepped into the corridor.

The house was quiet, the kind of quiet that made the walls seem to listen. Faint sounds the creak of old wood, the distant buzz of insects outside filled the silence as they made their way down the narrow hall.

"Sadie, maybe we should go," Elara murmured.

But before Sadie could answer, they heard a noise a low groan, almost pained from one of the rooms.

They both froze.

"What was that?" Sadie asked

Elara didn't answer. Something in her stomach tightened. She took a slow, hesitant step toward the sound, which came from a door left slightly open. She knocked gently, but the door creaked wider, revealing the dimly lit room beyond.

Damien lay on the bed, shirtless, his body glistening with sweat, his chest rising and falling heavily, and his eyes dark and dazed slowly turned toward the open door.

"Hey, who's there?" he said, his voice hoarse and low.

Elara froze. "I think he saw me"

"I… I'm sorry. I didn't mean to barge in," she stammered, turning to leave.

But something flickered in Damien's gaze a flash of recognition, confusion and Desire.

"Wait," he said again,. "Why are you here?"

"I…Sadie and I…we were just looking for you…outside…" she said stuttering

But Sadie had already stepped out of the building but Elara wasn't able to follow her because she was caught by Damien

Elara's heart thundered in her chest as she turned back to Damien, who now stood close to her, visibly struggling to steady himself.

"Something's wrong with me," he said, his voice rasping. "Since I lay down, I've been… feverish. Burning."

"Should I call someone?" she asked, panicked.

He shook his head slowly. "No. It's not sickness. It's… something else. Like I was drugged, but not quite. It's in this room I can feel it crawling under my skin."

Elara stepped closer instinctively, drawn to the strange intensity in his eyes. "Maybe it's something in the food? The villagers can be a bit excited sometimes."

Damien let out a rough laugh. "Maybe. But whatever it is… it's pulling at something."

Their eyes met, and Damien pulled her to the bed and a strange magnetic pull neither could explain got her. Elara's breath caught as she realized she was dangerously close to him now close enough to feel the heat radiating off his skin.

He looked up at her, his voice barely above a whisper.

"You should go,Before I do something I can't undo."

But Elara didn't move. She couldn't. Something inside her that same strange energy pulsing in the room kept her rooted to the bed.

"I… I don't want to go," she said softly.

Damien's lips went for her lips and helped her take off her clothes and he started kissing her boobs and his hands went to her lower part and he inserted his finger. Just then Elara realized she wasn't going to remain a virgin after he have sex with but the force was to much, she wanted it badly also, but she couldn't see the reason why.
