Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Account Goes Live Again

Midnight.

Exactly seven days since Lin Ze vanished.

And now, his account was live again.

No warning. No announcement.

Just the cold, flashing red icon—LIVE NOW.

Within minutes, over 300,000 viewers flooded into the stream, unable to look away despite the growing fear tightening their chests.

The screen remained black for what felt like forever.

Then—

A dim, flickering light broke through the darkness.

A familiar sight.

The old rattan chair.

It sat alone beneath the massive banana tree, exactly where Lin Ze's phone had last been found.

But this time… someone was sitting in the chair.

The camera slowly zoomed in.

The viewers watched in horrified silence.

She was there.

The woman in the tattered white dress.

Her head was bowed, hair clinging wetly to her pale skin.

Suddenly, the livestream chat erupted.

[Bullet Comments]

"IT'S HER! SHE'S REAL!"

"Why is the camera so close now? Who's filming this?!"

"I… I hear knocking at my door right now…"

The woman's head lifted ever so slowly.

For the first time, her full face was revealed.

Her eyes… there were none.

Two hollow, bleeding sockets where eyes should have been.

Her mouth stretched impossibly wide, a

jagged grin splitting her face as a low, rasping

laugh escaped her cracked lips.

"Hehehe…"

Then, the camera turned.

It panned upward toward the canopy of the banana tree.

A noose swung gently in the breeze.

And hanging from it—

Lin Ze.

Or what was left of him.

His lifeless body swayed above the rattan

chair, his eyes wide open, mouth frozen in a silent scream.

A fresh trail of blood dripped from his

fingertips onto the camera lens.

The viewers couldn't look away.

Some tried to shut off their phones—but the screen wouldn't respond.

Some threw their devices against the wall—but the cameras stayed on.

Streaming. Watching.

And then, a chilling voice echoed through every speaker, every headphone, directly into their minds.

"Your turn."

Across the city, across the world, doorbells began to ring.

One by one.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Each viewer who had stayed until the end of the stream found a small, freshly picked jasmine flower placed on their doorstep.

And those who dared open the door...

Were never seen again.

From that night on, Lin Ze's account continued to go live—without warning.

Always at midnight.

Always featuring a new victim.

And each time, the last message would appear:

[The livestream is now in your home.]
