The next day at school seemed like any other.
Keita sat in his usual seat, trying to look focused on the lesson. But he couldn't take his eyes off her—Yuzuki-sensei. Her outfit was as professional as always, but after last night… every gesture, every glance felt different.
She was writing something on the board when, for just a moment, she turned and gave him a quick, intense look.
A single second. That was all it took.
But Keita felt it like a lightning strike.
The bell rang.
''Suminoe, stay a moment after class, please.''
The other students shot him knowing looks.
''Must be about his grades again'' they thought.
But none of them knew the truth.
The door closed slowly behind the last student. She walked back toward the desk, her voice low and quiet:
''What are you planning to do, Keita? You're making it impossible for me to sleep. Or focus.''
''It's strange,'' he said, stepping a little closer. ''It feels like I'm finally starting to learn something that actually matters...''
She sighed. Just for a moment.
Then, suddenly, she grabbed him by the tie and whispered into his ear:
''Then meet me in the staff room… after all the classes are over. Private lesson.''
And with that, she walked away, leaving him with a pounding heart and a mind set ablaze.
