The village of Akakawa lay bathed in the warm glow of sunset, its residents preparing for the evening's festivities. But amidst the peaceful atmosphere, a sense of unease settled over the Yamato household.
Kaito Yamato, a young boy with a wild heart and a strong sense of justice, played outside with his sister Akane, their laughter echoing through the streets. Their parents, Shinji and Emiko, watched over them with pride, their love for their children palpable.
But in the shadows, a figure watched, his eyes burning with an otherworldly intensity. Ryujin, a dark sorcerer and swordsman with a thirst for power, had been searching for the perfect vessels to further his ambitions. And in the Yamato family, he saw the perfect opportunity. The Yamato family holds a sword that slays anything, mortal or immortal and it opens the gate way to the dark world. He needs the sword and a Yamato blood to for his plan. Kaito is the rightful person to gain access to the sword (Kokoro-no-kizu) which means scar of the heart.
Without warning, Ryujin and his minions descended upon the village, their blades slicing through the evening air. The Yamato family was caught off guard, their screams echoing through the streets as they were slaughtered.
Kaito, in a desperate bid to protect his family, charged at Ryujin, but he was no match for the sorcerer's power. As he watched, helpless and horrified, Ryujin delivered the final blow to his parents.
But in a surprising twist, Ryujin spared Kaito and Akane, taking them under his wing. As the village burned behind them, Ryujin revealed his plan to mold Kaito into a powerful warrior, one who would help him achieve his ultimate goal: domination over the entire realm. Ryujin was able to use dark power to erase the memory of Kaito and Akane. Ryujin treats Kaito and Akane as his own, training Kaito to become the best swordsman and a samurai while on the other hand, Akane is been trained in magical healing and tapping into the Ki that flows around her.....
