Chapter 1 - Episode 1

"What the heck? Where the fuck am I?" I questioned myself, wondering whether or not I was sane.

"OUCH!" I grabbed my head in pain. After a few seconds, the pain subsided.

"Haaa," I sighed heavily. "It seems I got reincarnated."

How did I end up in this situation? Well…

A few moments ago? Not really sure.

"So, you see? I'll keep on pushing myself, to get stronger! I bet you feel the same way, right?"

"Hmph! I should've known, you never change."

"Man, DBZ is so peak!" I muttered to myself while finishing the last DLC of DBZ: Kakarot.

I am a die-hard fan of Dragon Ball and manga in general. But for me, Dragon Ball was the peak of the peak.

I grabbed my phone to look at the time, and it was roughly 3 a.m. "Damn, already? Ugh, I really don't wanna go to the hospital."

I complained but still went to bed to get that 3 hours of sleep, as it was still something.

As soon as I fell asleep, I heard my alarm ringing — this damn Apple melody really got on my nerves.

Anyway, I still got up, took a coffee, and started to go to work. I could walk there, as I wasn't that far from the hospital I had been assigned to — at least I was thankful for that.

I was tired, and as soon as the lights went green, I continued on my way, but it seems like the truck over there wasn't okay with me being alive.

"Fuc—"

All white. Nothing else. I'm sleepy…

I thought of the things that brought me the most joy in life: my family, my childhood, but also manga…

Well, there you have it. That's why I died, but that reincarnation is a bit sudden and unexpected.

Suddenly, I heard commotion coming from the door. "Yu, is everything alright?"

That was the voice of a lady speaking in Japanese.

How do I know that? That headache let me gain the memories of this body, who had died just a few minutes ago. Yes, died — from cardiac arrest.

"Y-Yes, I'm okay," I replied, feeling a bit nervous. True, I had the memories of this body, but I wasn't him.

"Huh? Uh, okay." The lady seemed to have gone back to where she came from. If my guess is correct, that was the mother of this body — Yu — who was a hikikomori.

I reincarnated as Yu Watanabe. A 23-year-old overweight Japanese hikikomori.

Well, I wasn't one to judge since I wasn't ripped in my past life, but brother, this guy STINKS.

The bedroom was messy as fuck too.

"Well, what can I do? I have another chance at life — better to see the good side."

Yeah, I was somewhat a bit younger since I was 27 when I died, and I wasn't, well, homeless — and I still have family.

I got up with a lot of difficulty and started tidying up the room and taking off the sheets.

Also, it seems like this guy is the cliché of an otaku with lots of anime figurines. I even recognized some of them — well, at least those I knew in my past life, since in reality I knew all of them because of this guy's memories.

There were also lots of things I personally didn't like, such as loli figurines and a big dakimakura.

Ugh, brooo…

After a few minutes, I had to sit to rest and suddenly felt something in my pocket. Is that a letter?

I opened the letter, and the paper inside started levitating.

I jumped from the bed. "Oh shit, is this happening?"

If you do not frequently read manga or fanfics, you may not know why I was grinning like a devil, but it sounded like I too would have my cheat.

"HELL YEAH!!!"

The paper stopped itself in front of me, and I could read what was written.

Long story short — God (don't know which one it is, but assuming it's Jesus since I was Christian) left me a gift since I got reincarnated by mistake.

Yes, I know — very cliché — and picked one random skill in any human.

I was a bit disappointed since there was nothing supernatural involved, and a body that will be super healthy.

Well, from the looks of it, it wasn't — but maybe it implied that it could evolve.

I don't really know — I'm not that smart of a guy, or maybe it's just the reincarnation that is suffocating my mind.

Anyway, this skill seems to be chosen at random, and it was drawing — well, to be precise, anything that is related to drawing.

That was kind of OP to some extent, I think, and it made me have an idea — since this body was jobless, I could become a mangaka and become a legend.

As I was rejoicing in the feelings of the guy that would be known as the greatest artist of all time — yes, just because of manga — my new mother was surprised. It had been years since her child had replied to her. She was crying hot tears.

"Yu… finally…" she whispered, as she kept crying in her room. Someone saw her cry — a young girl dressed as a high school student.

'This fucker!!! He made Mom cry again, I can't take it anymore!'

As the girl made her way upstairs, she was shocked to see the person who was her brother outside.

"Uhm, can you make a little space? I need to get rid of the trash?" I asked. This was my sister, Asahi. In the memories of this guy, they never really got along — she had despised him since she entered high school.

"You… you got out?! And you stink! Go shower or something!" she said. Going back to what seemed to be her room.

It seems she forgot to shout at her deadbeat brother.

Oh, I guess this is special, since this guy never got out and had his toilet inside his room — well, the door to his toilet and shower, at least.

Well, I ain't him, so I can't stay in this stinky room for that long.
