Chapter 6 - Detailed Properties of the Shuttle

The sight remained fixed on the basic parts column. The current psionic shuttle was still a blank slate, and there wasn't much of interest in the other areas.

In the special parts column, for example, newly merged Xinhuo flying ships begin with two initial special parts slots. Only by upgrading the psionic shuttle would the number of these slots increase. Moreover, the quality of the Xinhuo Seed plays a decisive role in how many slots can be added. The higher the seed quality, the more potential slots.

This is a key reason the Xinhuo human civilization places such emphasis on the Xinhuo Seed's quality. It determines not just the upper limit of a flying ship's enhancement but also the strength of ships at the same level. Imagine two Lv10 ships: a white-grade one might equip 10 special parts, while a colorless one maxes out at six a nearly twofold difference in capacity and, by extension, in combat effectiveness.

As Song Chi's gaze narrowed, detailed stats of each component appeared.

After reviewing the components, Song Chi didn't linger. These were basic specs covered in earlier studies. Only the psionic training platform truly caught his attention.

This platform was one of the Xinhuo Flying Ship's core components—and a major reason people were so eager to own one. Why risk life and limb exploring the starry unknown? It wasn't for sightseeing. The real draw lay in the rare resources scattered throughout alien domains.

But what were these resources truly for?

Strengthening the ship? Partly. But that's just surface-level. In truth, every captain seeks to evolve—pushing their lifeform to higher stages. In other words: immortality.

It's known that advancing the psionic guidance technique can catalyze life-level transformation, increasing one's lifespan. Yet the higher one climbs, the harder the cultivation becomes. Triggering even a single transformation is daunting.

This is where the psionic practice platform comes in.

Bound to each ship, it significantly boosts training speed. For captains, this translates to a much higher chance of evolving again and again.

Naturally, better ships mean better platforms. So while people talk about ship strength, what they really value is the practice room it carries.

Song Chi now recalled the full-attribute cultivation chamber in the market. Its bonus? A staggering 400% twice that of the shuttle's platform.

Back then, he'd focused on the long-range gate and overlooked this. But now, excitement surged again.

He understood exactly what this meant:

He would cultivate faster than his peers.

He would reach higher life levels, gaining more lifespan.

And even if the quality of his Xinhuo Seed never improved, it wouldn't hinder his growth.

Still, despite this, Song Chi wouldn't abandon the ship. The market required significant resources for upgrades, and monthly trades alone wouldn't suffice. Also, the market lacked combat capabilities—unlike the ship, which could become a mobile fortress.

With that, a foundational plan formed in his mind:

Use the market as his cultivation and logistics hub;

Use the Xinhuo flying ship for exploration and firepower.

Each would complement the other both critical to his future.

Having clarified his path, Song Chi turned back to the task at hand: upgrading the psionic shuttle.

Tomorrow's exploration was labeled a "welfare" mission, but it was best not to take chances. Caution was a principle Song Chi lived by.

With a flash of light at his brow, he retrieved a glowing orb the Fire Sunflower Soldier Tree from his ancestral orifice and loaded it into one of the shuttle's two special part slots.

Soon, its data appeared:

Fire Sunflower Soldier Tree lv0

Quality: White

Cost: 50 Psionic points per unit

Effect: Summons 10 lv0 Fire Sunflower Soldiers (immortal while active; 24-hour respawn time after death)

Upgrade: 5 strands of Floating Land Origin (Zero Order), 500 Psionic points
