Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: The Throne and the Shovel

Caelen emerged from the bushes looking like he just lost a battle with a tree.

Leaves in his hair. Pants slightly grass-stained. Dignity: 2%.

"That," he mumbled, "was the worst boss fight I've ever had."

Sparkfin chirped and refused to make eye contact. Probably for the best.

Caelen slumped onto his wobbly chair in the hut and tapped his temple with a groan.

"Alright, I've had enough. I don't care if this is a fantasy world—I'm not doing that again."

Search (1/20): How to make a toilet

[Answer: Dig a deep hole. Cover with wooden frame. Optional: Add seat, privacy wall, or dignity.]

He blinked. "Wow. That's… painfully simple."

But he wasn't complaining.

Search (2/20): How to make a shovel

[Answer: 1x Wood Stick + 1x Stone Head + 1x Vine = Basic Shovel]

"Oh thank you, Google Brain. That's more like it."

Crafting Time

He grabbed a sturdy stick, used his pickaxe to shape a flat stone, and tied it all together with vines. It looked like something a caveman might call "advanced technology."

[You have crafted: Basic Stone Shovel]

He grinned. "And so, the Toilet Age begins."

The First Throne

Caelen stepped a few meters away from his hut, picked a spot behind some bushes, and dug. And dug. And kept digging.

"Why is dirt infinite? My arms were not made for this…"

Finally, after what felt like the longest fifteen minutes of his new life:

[You have built: Primitive Toilet. May not be pretty, but it gets the job done.]

He found a flat plank of wood from his scrap pile and made a basic seat. Added a couple of long branches around it for some... privacy.

Sparkfin perched nearby, watching with a strange mix of concern and mild respect.

Caelen wiped the sweat off his forehead and stood back.

"There. My own throne. Long may I sit upon it."

[New Tool Unlocked: Shovel]

[New System Unlocked: Hygiene – You now smell 6% less like desperation.]

He returned to the hut, proud and weirdly emotional.

"You know, it's the little things. Fire, food, toilet…"

He tossed the shovel in the corner like a war trophy and plopped into his chair.

"That's progress."

Sparkfin hopped onto the table, dropped a leaf in front of him, and chirped once—maybe approval, maybe "finally". Either way, Caelen grinned.

"Tomorrow, we go big. Walls. Roof. Maybe even a bucket."

He looked out the doorway at the glowing sky, now shifting toward orange.

"But today? Today, I reclaimed my right to po*p in peace."
