For the boy I still can't call mine...

They said that the sun rose slower that day.. As if relishing every single moment of this day, trying to immortalize it.
The entire kingdom of Autumnvale was glimmering in the soft gold hue's of the sunlight. Making the day look etheral and something almost out of a fairytale..
The wedding was to be held at one of the oldest cathedral that day, beautiful, historical and an existing embodiment of the history lived by the kingdom.
The bells rang.. not commandingly but sweetly, softly like a blessing.
Amane wore a beautiful white gown that day.. The flowy skirt looked like clouds and the pearls that adorned the bottes looked like stars.. Her brown to blonde hair was tied up in a low bun, the full puffed sleeves added to the cloudy feeling of the gown whereas her soft bangs were framing her face perfectly.. A few strands of hair were out of the neat bun making her look almost unreal.. Her pink lips were curled into a slight smile as she approached the alter.. Her long translucent veil, flowing from the frost-kissed tiara adorned on her head to the ground behind her, flowing like a crystal-blue stream of river carried by flower girls.
On the other end of the alter, stood Duke Edward, in his navy blue ceremonial suit. His expression was as calm and stoic as always but they said that there was a hint of softness behind those emerald-like green eyes of his. He was stoic and calm, but at that time, he looked at her as if he was the cloudy night sky and she was the only star shining brightly.
As they stood together side by side holding hands, Edward couldn't help but smile.. He tried not to, for the sake of his stoic image but he failed miserably for the first time ever. The operator spoke, but their eyes never left each other.
"I do.." she said in her calm yet soothing voice that was music to his ears. It felt like a spell, breaking through him, a spell that healed him.
"I always have.." he said with a faint smile.. His voice thick with emotion.
Their kiss was tender and soft filled with a million different emotions amidst was a promise.. To spend their entire life together..
The bells rang again, but they weren't alone.. All around them, feathers fell from the sky. Shining and pale. Some believed it was the angels other beleived it was from doves.
But one thing was clear–No one could ever forget that moment.
It is said that on that day, the starts paused in their orbits and time itself took one soft breath. As if to relish a rare moment in a kingdom where power and rank are the only thing important for a human.

It was a beautiful evening, the sun was shining brightly, colouring the entire walls of Autumnvale in a soft golden hue..
A man–probably in his late twenties was standing near the window of his two storey house which was shining in amber.. He was writing something.. Probably a letter of resignation? The only sound that could be heard was pen scribbling on the notebook when he could hear soft, familiar footsteps behind him.... Her steps were quick and eager.. Her blond hair–dark brown at the roots, half of which was tied up with a small turquoise claw clip with gold borders and a dangling line of pearl beads with a heart shaped end, bounced with every step she took.. Her brown eyes looked like honey in the sunlight making her look etheral as always.. She wore a green Quipao which–from the front showed a bit of her stomach and was long and flowy from the behind, paired with off white pants and black sandals.
Her steps quickened and smile widened as she got closer to him––Duke Edward Odyssey.
She was practically running when she reached him and hugged him from the behind out of joy... She nuzzeled her head in the crook of his neck
"You always smell like ink..." She said softly
He smiled faintly before saying- "And you always sneak up on me when I'm writing treason..."
"Heh.. I'm glad to be a Duchess and not a royal knight..." She said with a slight chuckle
He put the notebook and pen down on the edge of the window and turned around slowly when her grip on him tightened slightly "Wait.. Don't turn around yet... There's something I want to tell you..."
"What is it?" He asked.. His voice soft and calm.. No one could've recognised him to be the same ruthless Duke that was feared by nations.
"I'm pregnant Ed..." She said softly, her voice trembling slightly.
His eyes widened slightly.. A rare hint of emotion crossing his usually calm and stoic face. A slight tremble could be felt coursing through his body.
"Yes Ed.. I'm pregnant... I wanted to tell you at the perfect moment.. But I realised that every moment of my life was perfect with you.."
He finally turned around, holding her face in his hands, carefully, tenderly.. As if she was made of glass.
"A.. Child..." His voice trembled slightly
"Our child..." He said, his voice filled with emotions.
He held her in his embrace, burying his face in her shoulder, at that time, he wasn't a Duke or the king's closest friend, but a man who had just been given a miracle.
And in that moment, the sun shone over the window, lighting up their world with joy and happiness.
With love and a family.
