Zane's brow furrowed. "That's… intense."
"It is," Nyx said quietly. "Nullification is a Void-born countermeasure. It's your trump card—but you'll be wide open if you use it carelessly."
"So if I use it, no teleporting, no End Blade, no analyzing—nothing?"
"Exactly. Total magic blackout… including yours."
Zane let out a low whistle. "I guess that's fair. Can't have a cheat code without a cost."
Nyx continued, "You also got an upgrade to Voidwalk!"
Zane's eyes lit up.

Zane looked out from the mouth of his cave, spotting a rocky ridge about half a kilometer away.

The world bent around him—and he was there, stumbling slightly as the pressure snapped back.
He grinned. "I'm starting to like this."
"Be careful, Zane," Nyx said softly. "You're stronger, but the world is starting to notice."
He stood still at that, the wind brushing past him.
"The stronger you get, the louder your presence becomes. And not everyone watching you is human…"
Zane's fingers tightened around the End Blade, the weight of that warning sinking in.
"Let them come," he muttered. "I've got a few surprises of my own now."
