Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Trial of Earth

---

Prologue: Earth-616 – Three Hours After Convergence

The moon splits—just a sliver—like cracked porcelain.

Two versions of Earth now share the sky.Gravity whimpers. Oceans rise, defy, and recede. Clouds twist into spirals never mapped before.

From Wakanda to the ruins of Krakoa, every sky bears the same mark: a black circle—a silent emblem, burned into space.

Victor von Doom watches it all from his obsidian citadel.

He does not smile.

He waits.

---

Scene 1: The Council of Fire

Location: Avengers Tower, Central Briefing Room

The Prime Avengers gather.

Spider-Man (Peter), Thor, Wanda, Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Sentry, Miles Morales, and Vision—joined now by Reed Richards and Sue Storm.

Reed draws a projection into the air: two Earths rotating in unstable harmony.

> Reed: "They're not merging. They're judging each other."

> Shuri (via holo): "And only one gets to stay."

Thor slams Mjölnir onto the table.

> "Then we stand and defend our home."

Vision tilts his head.

> "This isn't an invasion. It's an audition."

Strange's third eye opens—briefly, flickering with chaos.

> Strange: "He's watching. Every word. Every decision."

Wanda whispers: "He wants us to break ourselves."

Sue Storm holds her stomach quietly.

She is pregnant.

No one says it aloud—but Reed's every breath is a war between fear for the universe and the life inside the woman he loves.

---

Scene 2: Earth-92 – The Echoed Past

Location: Mutant Safehold, Earth-92 Ruins (Flashback)

The X-Men gather in Doom's shadow.

Magneto kneels. Deadpool snarks. Cyclops watches, silent and afraid.

> Doom: "I do not conquer to destroy. I conquer to preserve. My rule brings survival. Your chaos—only extinction."

He shows them—holograms of broken Earths. Of Captain Americas kneeling. Phoenixes extinguished. Thors buried in moons.

> Jean Grey (telepathically): "He believes this is mercy."

> Professor X: "No. He knows it is."

---

Scene 3: The First Strike

Location: Earth-616, Sahara Sector — Interdimensional Rift Zone

The first real incursion begins.

From the sky, a shard of Earth-92 crashes—a city chunk wrapped in quantum fire.

The Avengers respond—Carol, Strange, Peter, Kamala, Hulk.

Out comes a threat none expect: a corrupted Nova Corps battalion, twisted by Doom-tech.

They speak in unison.

> "World 92 submits. World 616—must be evaluated."

The battle is brutal. Carol is blasted across continents. Hulk bleeds. Strange casts a binding spell—but the Nova agents overload in a chain reaction.

Kamala cries out. She shields civilians. Her powers flicker—unsteady.

Then—the sky freezes.

Time halts.

Doom descends. Slowly. Wordlessly. Present in form and absence.

Everyone feels it—the weight of inevitability.

> Doom (calmly): "This is your first trial. I am not here to destroy. I am here to see if you deserve to remain."

Strange tries to speak. But no sound comes.

> Doom: "Your champions will be tested. One by one. Until only truth remains."

He vanishes.

---

Scene 4: The Break of Sentry

Location: Deep Orbit

Sentry floats, alone.

The Void speaks louder now.

> Void: "You admire him. He doesn't fear you. He understands you."

> Sentry: "He... doesn't judge me."

> Void: "He invites you."

Sentry sees visions—himself beside Doom, ruling over broken timelines, suns dimmed by his light.

He screams.

It echoes across the solar system.

---

Scene 5: Faultlines of Unity (Expanded – with Detailed Fights)

Location: Wakanda Council Chambers

Inside the fortified chamber, the Avengers, X-Men, and the Fantastic Four stand—uneasy allies.

The air crackles with tension. Too many ideologies. Too much blood history.

> Magneto: "Why should mutants die for a world that fears them?"

> Black Panther: "Because if this Earth dies, you die with it."

Peter Parker steps forward. His voice is steady, but his fists twitch.

> Peter: "I don't need a history lesson on mutant oppression, but I'm not letting this Earth fall without a fight."

Deadpool grins.

> Deadpool: "Same! Except, I'm rooting for the Earth with better chimichangas."

He lunges.

---

Spider-Man (Peter Parker) vs Deadpool

Webbing streaks through the air—Deadpool slices it mid-flight with twin katanas. Peter somersaults off a pillar, slinging a barrage of impact webbing at Wade's knees.

> Deadpool: "Ooooh! Tingly! Just like prom night."

Peter activates a new Stark-tech mode—"Spider-Disruptor." Magnetic pulses shoot from his wrists, shorting out Deadpool's belt.

Wade teleports behind him—kicks him square in the back. Peter flips and kicks off a wall, landing a knee to Wade's jaw.

> Peter: "You really don't shut up, huh?"

> Deadpool (spitting teeth): "Only when I'm unconscious. Want to try again?"

Peter slams him into the floor—but Wade's already healing.

---

Thor vs Magneto

Across the chamber, lightning clashes with magnetic force.

Mjölnir arcs through the air, only to stop—Magneto freezes it mid-flight, veins glowing with electromagnetic current.

> Magneto: "Your hammer is forged of star-metal. I command the heavens."

Thor snarls, summoning stormfire from the sky—thunder shreds the room.

Magneto lifts metallic fragments from every corner—a swirling dome of blades—and launches them like a hurricane.

Thor spins Mjölnirat quantum speed, forming a tornado shield, then hurls himself forward with a godly roar.

They collide mid-air—a thunderclap explodes through the room.

---

Jean Grey vs Wanda Maximoff

Reality bends.

Jean floats, her eyes glowing gold. Wanda rises, red chaos-magic wrapping around her like a dress of flame.

> Jean: "You tamper with dimensions."

> Wanda: "And you drown in others' thoughts."

Their minds clash first—psychic waves crashing through astral space. Then magic meets psionic fire in a dance of red and gold.

Wanda weaves illusions—Jean rips them apart with raw mental force. Jean conjures memory blades—Wanda shields herself in hex spheres, sending them back spinning.

> Wanda (eyes wild): "I've broken realities."

> Jean: "I've died in them."

They unleash one final pulse—chaos vs phoenix flare—until both stagger, evenly matched.

---

Hulk vs Wolverine

The room quakes.

Hulk roars, lunging at Logan.

Wolverine snarls, claws out, leaping to meet him. His adamantium slices into Hulk's arm—green blood sprays.

Hulk grabs him by the torso and throws him through a wall.

Logan gets up. Bones cracked. He heals mid-run.

> Wolverine: "I've cut gods. You're just big."

> Hulk (growling): "And you're annoying."

They crash together again—feral strength vs unstoppable rage. Hulk pummels Logan into the floor—Logan stabs upward into Hulk's shoulder.

Each refuses to fall.

---

Miles Morales vs Nightcrawler

The air flickers.

Miles zips into the rafters—Nightcrawler bamfs behind him.

> Kurt: "You move like shadow."

> Miles: "You are shadow."

They clash—electric venom blasts sparking off teleporting sword swipes.

Miles flips upside down—fires twin stingers—Kurt evades with a puff of brimstone, reappearing behind Miles mid-air.

Miles grins, camouflages, and vanishes.

> Kurt (quietly): "Where—?"

Venom-punch to the gut.

---

Black Panther vs Colossus

Vibranium claws spark against steel skin.

T'Challa moves like smoke—dodging, striking, calculating.

Colossus grunts, hammering the ground to destabilize him. Panther rides the tremor, leaps upward, slashing Colossus's side.

> T'Challa: "Strength without strategy is nothing."

> Colossus: "Strategy without strength is weakness."

Panther activates energy redistribution—Colossus's punch rebounds in a shockwave, flinging them both.

They land. Breathing hard. Staring. Neither backing down.

---

The Stop

Reed Richards shouts.

Sue erects a shield that halts all combat.

Her hands tremble—protecting herself and the child inside.

> Sue (furious): "Enough! I'm carrying life while you all flirt with extinction!"

The silence that follows is heavier than any punch.

Even Magneto lowers his arms.

Peter steps back.

> "She's right. If we fight each other… we lose before Doom even raises a hand."

Logan wipes blood from his mouth.

Deadpool sits on the floor.

> Deadpool: "So… no team jerseys then?"

---

Scene 6: The Doom Paradox

Location: Kamar-Taj – Forbidden Archives

Strange and Reed search the oldest timelines.

They find it: a splintered future where Doom wins—but instead of a tyrant, he becomes a savior, rewriting the multiverse into stability.

> Strange: "If he wins... the wars stop. Time heals."

> Reed: "But freedom dies."

> Strange: "Is that a price we're willing to pay?"

> Reed: "He's not asking. He's testing if we'll offer it ourselves."

---

Epilogue: The Watchers Weep

Uatu watches from his lunar tower. Behind him, three Watchers argue—some say intervene. Others say observe.

Uatu's eyes dim.

> "This multiverse has never faced a Doom like this."

The stars flicker.

In New York, a child draws the symbol they saw in their dreams.

A black circle with stars around it.
