Chapter 2 The first obstacle [1]
"Emperor…" Sebastian murmured to himself.
"Sebastian what's wrong?" I asked him.
"Emperor, we lost a portion of our forces in the battle with the Allied Nations at Zhentaris Republic.
Most of them are isolated from our main forces, how should we act Emperor?"
"The battle at the Zhentaris Republic huh?" I thought, this was one of the first obstacle you had to go through at the game.
Zhentaris Republic was next to our border but remembering the current state of the Empire.
The emperor of the game had made this choice as the Empire's side was in a difficult situation.
Resources were scarce and the economical situation wasn't any better either.
It was 1967 when the Antares Empire had declared war on the Zhentaris Republic and it had been a month after it started.
The war had started for resources at first but the Emperor had another ambition.
I could maybe end this war but I didn't want that.
I too wanted to be an Emperor who was conquering nations just like the previous owner of this body.
Someone might criticize my decision if it were my previous world.
But in this world, I had full control and it felt like there was a reason for me coming here.
My heart was pounding and I was thrilled on how I was about to change the fate of this Empire.
I remembered how I handled this in my first run and that ended in a disaster.
But as I poured many hours into that game and overcoming the failure.
I recalled a strategy that was used by many experts at this game who chose the Empire's side.
To rescue the forces, it would need a fast moving army and recalling the famous name in my previous world.
It was known as Blitzkrieg.
It was all about your forces moving inside enemy ranks and not giving them time to react.
I was about to do this but I felt nervous.
This world was reality and not a game and who knows what could happen just due to my actions.
But I cast that thought aside as how this Empire's situation wasn't any better.
"Sebastian, where are the other generals?"
Asking him directly would be better as I could discuss my plan on how to rescue them I thought.
Sebastian looked worried hearing what I had said and replied.
"Emperor, they're at the main command outpost but I advise you to stay away with them as you may get into crossfires"
"You're worrying too much Sebastian"
"I have to meet them to see the current situation of our army"
I replied with a cold tone.
This was necessary to be an Emperor of an Empire.
Because an Emperor who was swayed by his emotions could make more mistakes and lead the nation to doom.
"Emperor, please reconsider"
The look in his eyes could be seen, a hint of worry.
But I didn't have any time for that as this situation was one of the many obstacles you had to go through
"Heed my orders Sebastian or are you planning to disobey me?"
This time I made my voice loud and clear to make sure he heard it.
"As you wish Emperor, please follow me"
Sebastian informed me.
I followed Sebastian out of my room and began walking.
Finally outside I could see the building I was in, it was a large castle like view but with more things added to the scenery.
There was even a huge garden that felt so big compared to the game.
In the game [Nations Rise] the graphics were like of pixel games but you could view the world as if it were a limited 3D view.
The Emperors building and the garden looked small in the game.
But in reality they looked so big that you could get missing here.
Following Sebastian we got into a military suv, there Sebastian drove me until we finally got to the main command outpost.
The main command outpost looked like a temporary camp.
Walking inside I could see the faces of generals with a hint of anxiety and the atmosphere felt gloomy.
I sat at the table, looking at the map and the current situation we were in and asked.
"What happened?"
The generals looked at me nervously and replied.
"Your majesty, bad news..."
"We lost a portion of our forces and we're being pushed back from the north and south."
"Our frontlines have also fallen majesty"
"So that's what it was huh?"
Finally realizing what had happened.
The situation looked really dire but I had an idea that could potentially change the tide of the battle.
"Ahemm" I spoke.
"I have an idea that could potentially change the tide of the battle to our favor but you must trust me what I say"
Informing them and proposing the idea that I used in the game might just work.
"I suggest that we use fast moving forces with scouts at the front followed by the tanks"
"The tanks will make a wall while in the center is where our army marches and brings supplies"
"This is called Blitzkrieg in my terms"
I claimed the idea as if it was mine.
But this strategy was effective on conquering nations who had relied on the older doctrines of the war.
"The idea of my strategy is that we use speed to caught them off guard and rescue the portion of our forces"
Informing them of my proposal.
This was the strategy used in the game that was effective that experts on the game highly regarded it.
"Emperor, from what you have suggested to us is to use fast moving forces?"
The generals looked with a hint of worry but also a surprise.
"That's correct" I replied.
"But Emperor how can we trust an unconventional strategy that we haven't known and used?"
The generals questioned me.
"This is the part where my persuasion skills come in"
I thought, this was one of the hardest conversation as you had to persuade the generals to change the tide of the battle.
This part was where many players didn't got through as you had to be realistic.
And there would be consequences if you suggested them the wrong strategy.
An hour later.
I had finally succeeded to convince them to use the Blitzkrieg strategy.
Which I painstakingly had to persuade them back and forth.
This took a long time but my plan for the first obstacle of the battle was complete.
Now all I had to do was plan for the future and do other things.
At the battlefield of the Zhentaris Republic occupied land temporary camp of the army group center command outpost.
An order had arrived.
"Lieutenant General Mathieu"
"We have received news that a new strategy was personally proposed to his majesty the Emperor himself."
The scouts informed.
Lieutenant General Mathieu was a beardy man with brown eyes, brownish hair and wore a military uniform.
His stature looked average but the atmosphere around him felt intimidating.
"A new strategy that was even proposed to his majesty the Emperor himself huh?"
"Let me take a look." Mathieu replied.
The scouts gave the paper to the lieutenant general before leaving quickly.
"Lieutenant General Mathieu, what does the paper say?" The other major generals asked.
"A new strategy has been proposed by his majesty the Emperor himself" Mathieu replied
