Zeta and I were getting closer as classmates. We often talked and shared stories about our daily lives. One day, while we were walking to class, a group of students known as school bullies approached us.
"Hey, Zeta! You think you can avoid us forever?" one of them said with a threatening tone. Zeta seemed unaffected, but I could see a hint of tension in his body.
I stood in front of Zeta, ready to protect my friend. "What's the problem?" I asked firmly.
"The problem is Zeta doesn't want to join our gang," one of them replied with a mocking tone. I knew Zeta didn't want to get involved with them, and I was ready to support him.
"Zeta doesn't want to join, so leave him alone," I said with an even firmer tone. The group of bullies looked unhappy with my response, but they didn't do anything because a teacher was approaching.
"We'll talk about this later," one of them said before they left. I turned to Zeta and asked, "Are you okay?" Zeta nodded and smiled slightly. "Thanks, Leon."
I smiled back and said, "No need to thank me, we're friends." Recess arrived, and Zeta and I decided to go to the field to play basketball. However, when we were playing, the group of bullies came again.
"Hey, Zeta! You think you can run away from us?" one of them said with a threatening tone. I was ready to protect Zeta.
"You don't need to bother Zeta again," I said firmly. The bully smiled sinisterly. "You think you can protect him? We'll see who's stronger."
Suddenly, they attacked us. Zeta and I were ready to fight back. The fight began. We fought against three bullies. Although we were outnumbered, we weren't intimidated.
Zeta and I fought with all our might. The bullies were strong, but we wouldn't back down. After a few minutes of fighting, the bullies retreated because they couldn't defeat us.
Zeta and I smiled, we had successfully protected ourselves. "We did it," I said with a proud tone. Zeta nodded. "Thanks, Leon. You're a really good friend."
I smiled back. "No need to thank me, we're friends."
