Chapter 2 - Instant Death

'I should've just jumped back then." — That was Midoriya's first thought as he exited the building.'

Bleeding

"It's still a very convenient road. Why didn't I know about it before?" — The boy was returning home from school. It is only at such moments that he can feel calm. At school, he is constantly annoyed by his classmates, and this, to put it mildly, is annoying.

His childhood friend had said a lot of unnecessary things today. Because of this, not the most favorable thoughts crept into his head, he even went out onto the roof. After weighing everything, Midoriya thought it wasn't worth it, and started down the stairs.

"I wonder if I would have a quirk if I lived in peace?" — Raising his head to the sky, he was thinking about various things, and did not hear the man who came up from behind at all.

A sharp pain, as if something metallic had fallen on his head, his body did not obey, and his eyes slowly closed, he lost consciousness. — I merged with one blow, but I'm lucky today! The man shouted joyfully, wiping the blood off the bat.

When he came to himself, he wanted to grab his head from the burning pain, but nothing happened. Izuku was sitting somewhere on the cold concrete, and his hands were tied. There were still stars in his eyes, and he'd been hit hard. He couldn't answer exactly what had happened. Also, instead of his school uniform, he was wearing a white T-shirt with the number 13 embroidery on the chest, and white shorts.

When he tried to get up, he fell to the ground, the pain was so intense that he could hardly control his legs. A couple more attempts and the throbbing is not so strong anymore, but the legs are standing.

Looking around, he realized that he was somewhere unknown, in a white room with a huge glass opposite. Most likely, it was two-sided, since apart from himself, he could occasionally see chairs and other things.

"There's no doubt about it, it's a kidnapping," he thought, looking around the room from all sides.

For the first couple of hours, he just sat quietly or walked in circles around the room. Because of the rope, it was a little uncomfortable to move my hands. After a few more hours, he felt hungry, "Damn, what do they need me for, I don't even have a quirk."

Actively running around the room, he quickly ran out of steam, and decided that he would deal with everything later. Lying down on the cold concrete, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

One, two, three... it was the twentieth hour. Slowly opening his eyes, he cringed because of the bright light, and a passage appeared in place of the mirror. After yawning a couple of times, he stretched a little, although it turned out terribly, as he hadn't eaten in a long time."I wonder if anyone is looking for me?"

He did not scream, and asked to be released, from the very beginning it seemed to him that it was useless. Walking slowly, he entered the passage and walked straight to where the light was coming from.

While in prison, various questions crept into his head. Why exactly? What's the use of all this? It was impossible to get answers to those questions.

The room he came to had a view of the ocean. The glass is probably bulletproof, so trying to knock it out is not even worth trying, and there is no strength. There was also a table nearby, and on it was a glass filled to the brim with water.

My throat was very dry, and this water was very welcome. Did she beckon to her, even though her gut felt that something was wrong, or was his stomach grumbling from hunger? None of this mattered now, running up with his last strength, he grabbed it with both hands and gulped it down.

Ten, twenty seconds, everything is fine, nothing happened. A loud sound pierced Midoriya's head, a passage opened under the table, and blood poured out of his body, eyes, ears, and nose. The pain was unbearable, a feeling as if all his organs had contracted and unclenched several times, and loss of consciousness.

When he opened his eyes, the first thing he felt was unbearable headaches, this time they were two, if not three times worse than when he had woken up before. Although everything was very bad, the surprise on his face did not subside.

Amid bitter tears, Midoriya could not understand how he found himself in a room with a mirror again. Staggering, he slowly walked up close and grabbed with both hands. With all his might, with the last of his strength, he pushed him aside. Although in previous times, he couldn't move it at all.

He almost fell into the aisle, it was so light, it was strange. —What?" That would be unusual, ah.

The feeling of deja vu haunted the kid, is this the second time he's walking down this mysterious corridor or is it the third? Approaching the table, his gaze settled on the glass of water. Thirst tormented him greatly, but this time he took it, did not drink it, but threw it out of the window with all his strength. The container of water shattered into small pieces, one of them scratched Izuku's finger, which made him involuntarily squeak.

As in previous times, a sharp ultrasound hit his head, but he did not start to bleed, and there was no feeling as if his organs were contracting. The passage under the table also opened, and he immediately went there without a second thought. "He wasn't!"

Opening the hatch, Izuku heard birds singing, it seemed to him that he was finally free, as he got used to the light, he realized that he was somewhere in the garden, and he was definitely not free. The manhole cover closed automatically, and he couldn't go back.

Beautiful trees with nests of birds, parrots on perches, and ducks swimming in the lake. Something was definitely wrong here, he couldn't think properly, hunger was taking over and all his thoughts and movements were fuzzy.

Noticing the sign with the arrow, he trudged in it direction. It led him to another arrow, and so on about ten times, until the arrow on the sign began to point down.

As he approached the sign, he was struck by a sudden pain in his abdomen, and before passing out, he briefly noticed several arrows that had passed through.

And now he was back in the white room, still with the same mirror and its reflection. Apart from the insane pain, now also in his stomach, he is unable to breathe normally. Endless sharp inhales and exhales, all possible fluids that were in his body came out. "Phew... I feel better now."

A pool of blood, stomach acid, and something else covered the cold concrete. Bypassing it, he did not hesitate to kick the mirror off his feet and ran into the tunnel.

It seemed to Midoriya that not one or two days had passed, but several years. The feeling of deja vu was very strong, especially when he re-entered the garden, it seemed to him that this was his fifteenth, or maybe twentieth attempt.

Turning his attention back to the signs, he also followed them until he reached the one with the arrow pointing down. This time, he didn't dare approach it. He clearly remembered what had happened to him then, and was not eager to check it again.

Instead, he looked around, and paid special attention to the trees. "The arrows came from somewhere, so we just need to find them and neutralize them."

Over time, he became indifferent to what was happening around him, whether they were looking for him or not, he just wholeheartedly tried to find a way out and punch the face of whoever threw him here.

He found two loaded crossbows in a couple of trees, they were between the foliage, very high up, so climbing with his hands tied was definitely not an option. He could only rely on his luck. When he got used to it again, he felt as if his hearing had improved, and he heard a click. Turning 180 degrees, he left the place where the sign was as quickly as possible.

Midoriya was very tense, which caused him to cough up blood. He had an idea why he felt bad.

Sighing, a smile appeared on his face, because the arrows that were in his stomach last time were on the tablet this time.

He'll soon find out that it wasn't just him who participated in all these games, but several other people. There were 13 of them in total, except for number thirteen, all the others went through completely different tasks, and they were all together.

The atmosphere in the garden was very pleasant, there was a warm breeze, so Izuku lay down on the grass and decided to sleep. After resting for a while, he began to explore the area. After walking around almost every corner, all he realized was that, past the parrots, the rest of the animals were not alive.

Also, the signs were a little unusual, after he cut the rope with a sharp arrow and finally freed himself, Midoriya noticed a button that was located below the sign. There were such buttons behind each sign, and he pressed them in turn starting from the very first one, but nothing happened.

Pressing the cherished last button, under the down arrow, the room rattled like an earthquake, the trees fell one by one, and the parrots sitting on their perches disappeared somewhere. — Haha, it's getting interesting.

With all this, a floor opens up from the ground next to Izuku, in which there are steps and a sign with an arrow. Without hesitation, he rushed downstairs, but the exit from the garden did not close. Limping due to the sharp pulsations, he went to the door and pulled the handle open. His gaze was cold, as if he had experienced something incredible, so when he got out of here, he would rethink his dream.

Five people came into a nice room. Pleasant music was playing, there were sofas, a table with food and drinks. And there were two passageways, one that they went down, the other with a line on the floor, and three keys in a glass box.

Everyone's mood was not so good, because seven people had died before. All they can do is move forward and try to get out. The parrot on the perch started talking. — Insert a coin and choose the right key! One of the three keys is wrong!

The first was an adult male, as he was older than everyone present. Running up to the machine, he slipped a coin and chose the key A. — I think I'll be lucky!

Once you cross the line, you can't go back. Both of his legs stood behind the red stripe and he ran to the door. After inserting the key and scrolling, he said. — Haha, that was the right one!

After opening the door, he took a step and fell into the void. The door remained open. His actions only made the others more depressed. The guy went next, he just graduated from high school. Selecting the key, he headed for the door.

A parrot was sitting on the open door and repeating the same phrase. - "A shortcut! A shortcut!"

The guy immediately realized what the catch was and after closing the door, he inserted the key and scrolled, then opened the door again. Instead of emptiness, an elevator descended to them, calling the other three and they boarded.

Upon arrival, they disembarked in a strange tunnel, at the end of which was a door marked Exit

Midoriya found himself in the white room again, but this time there was something wrong. There was a tiny table in the center, and on it was a note and a plate with a pill. Coming closer, he picked up a piece of paper and began to read. — "Take a pill and survive, if you can handle it, then you're free." On the back, in the right corner, it was written in small font. — Instant death, passive, radius of 5 meters.

The other guys had the same thing, only there was one big table, and they were given a choice of which pill they could take.

After swallowing it, intense heat immediately spread throughout his body, Midoriya's body was burning, the sensations were not the most pleasant, but better than the previous ones. After some time, he felt a surge of strength, and as if he had awakened a sixth sense, he realized what he had received.

The miniature table went underground, and a door with a sign appeared in front of it. - "Defeat everyone, good luck."

When they met eyes, both sides were equally surprised, one thought that he was the only one here, while the other thought that there were only twelve of them. Izuku considered greetings and other nonsense unnecessary. He just stood in the center of the room and waited for their actions.

He answered any of their questions with joy, but kept a lot hidden. They soon became friends, but neither of them took off their masks. When the familiar parrot's voice sounded, everyone became alert except Midoriya. "Kill number thirteen and the four of you will be free." If he remains alive at the end of time, then you will die.

Izuku's head was pounding, he listened to almost all the words of the unknown, he could not concentrate on anything, he answered the questions of those people with his last strength. Now he didn't understand why the first one, the most detached one, rushed at him, and in an instant turned into a pool of blood. After that, the three guys hesitated a bit and also attacked him, using their quirks, which they were able to return using the antidote, according to the note.

Three minutes, that's how long it took, and he was left alone in the room. The TV appeared in front of him, and on it was a man in a mask. — My name is All for One, congratulations on your victory. I hope you had fun, I'll see you later.

Everything happened in one moment, the screen went out and the door opened. Midoriya didn't even have time to say a word, but now he knew who had set up this whole circus, and that was more than enough. — Huh, I should have jumped then, you bastard, wait for me.

A year has passed since his disappearance, and his childhood friend Kacchan is currently in his first year at UA, and he has finally been released. There were missing persons notices on all the poles, and Midoriya was one of them.

The next day, the police and the heroes found that terrible place on a strange note signed "From the Thirteenth," and it shocked everyone. It was one of the worst incidents in the last 10 years. Twelve people were brutally murdered, someone was stabbed to death, someone crashed falling from a great height, someone was chopped into pieces, and the thirteenth, the only survivor, Midoriya Izuku, disappeared.
