Chapter 4 - chapter 4 The Beginning

Where am I? What happened? Why is everything so dark?

Grandma? Grandma, where are you?

I need to find a doctor—fast! Where's the exit? Hello?! Isn't there anyone here?! Please, someone show me the way out! My grandma is dying—please get me out of here!

Why can't I feel my body?

Why don't I have a body?

I feel like... like a colorful sphere, mostly black and purple with faint light swirling in the darkness.

s this my soul? Am I dead?

Then what was the point of all this struggle? All that pain, humiliation, being ignored? If fate has already decided everything, why do we even fight it?

Fate had cursed me from the beginning—took away joy and sadness, and left me

numb.

Left me with only darkness and emptiness.

The only person who ever loved me... died because I was too weak to protect them.

The more I think about it, the more I realize— there's

no such thing as justice.

The strong always win, the weak always die. That's

the law of nature.

And if there's a God who created this world, then He's cruel—because He didn't

create a world where everyone deserves to live. Some people are just allowed to

survive—but never truly live.

I don't want to go to another world anymore.

I want to stay in this infinite darkness forever.

Even when I was among people, my world was already like this.

At least here, no one mocks me, no one fears me, no one dies

because of me.

I want to stay here forever.

Wait—what's that?

A bluish-purple light is in front of me.

"It's a boy, Silvia. Congratulations."

When I heard that voice from inside the light, I knew...

These are memories of my life.

It's like I escaped from hell—only to be thrown back in, because I hadn't seen it all yet.

Grandma once told me my parents died in a fire, and that's why my face ended up like this.

But then I saw everything with my own eyes.

Honestly, I feel so sorry for myself.

If I had arms, I'd hug myself tightly and say:

"Hey, friend. You've been through so much. I'm proud of you. You're the strongest man I

know."

But I've reached the end.

I want to give up.

I can't keep going anymore.

I just want to disappear—somewhere no one and nothing exists.

And now, again... I'm being torn apart by these dogs.

Feels like once these memories end, I'll be done for good too.

But... nothing is happening.

The memories ended, so why hasn't anything changed?

Am I supposed to stay in this darkness forever?

I guess I wouldn't mind. At

least...

Wait—what is this?

Something's dragging me. I can't even see it.

No matter what I do, I can't break free.

Fine... I accept it. Let's see what fate has in store for me.

It's been pulling me for an hour—but nothing happens. Will

I be dragged like this for eternity?

There's a spot ahead— even

darker than where I am.

It's already pitch black here, but that place...

That darkness stares back at you.

You don't look into it—it looks into you.

I have a really bad feeling about this.

I need to get out of this gravitational pull—fast.

I'm sure whatever's waiting beyond that point is worse.

But nothing I do works.

Maybe this is fate.

Maybe I can't fight it.

I just wish there had been a light along the way—

something to distract me, give me hope, so I'd

fall into the darkness willingly.

Anyway... I've reached it. It's

so close.

Puff... puff...

I'm not even human anymore—I can't even breathe properly.

And just when I gave up—

"Don't be afraid, my friend. It's all over now."

Ranji: "Huh?! Who are you? Where am I now? Everything used to be dark—why is it bright

here?"

Ranji (in his mind): In front of me stood a tall man with a long black beard and

mustache, wearing glowing white robes.

He appeared out of nowhere, radiant with light.

Perodox: "I am your old friend, Perodox, the God of Monsters.

I know you've forgotten me. I'm sorry I couldn't help you sooner. The curse was too strong. I had to wait until half of it was broken before I could free you."

Ranji: "Curse? What curse?"

Perodox: "I don't have much time. I've used all my life energy to destroy it.

Listen closely, Ranji. From now on—you are free.

I'm sorry I couldn't save you sooner, but in return… I'm giving you some of my powers."

Ranji (in his mind): As he said that, I felt something warm and glowing inside me.

A soft light bloomed from my faded soul, violet and silver hues wrapping around me.

The dark colors that surrounded me slowly faded. Ranji: "What are these lights

spinning around me?"

Perodox: "They're fragments of my powers.

You'll need them in your new life.

You must become very strong; she will accompany you on your path and support you.

Promise me that you'll enjoy your life—and please, be kind to the creatures I've

created."

Ranji: "Who do you mean? Who are you talking about?" "Wait! Where are you going? I

still have so many questions—"

What… what's happening? Everything's shaking—it's all collapsing! I'm

about to fall!

Ranji (shouting): "Aaaahhh—where am I?!"

Voice: "It's a boy, my lord."

A voice echoed around me.

Ranji (in his mind): I hear voices around me... Where have I landed?

Where is Perodox? Why do I feel like something profound has suddenly changed within me?

Unseen voice: "My lord, your child is a boy and completely healthy."

Ranji (in his mind): Whose voice is that now? Perodox was a man...

Why is it so hard to see? I need to open my eyes.

Wait a minute... eyes? Did I even have any?

I was a spirit!

But now that I think about it, this must be the change...

I feel like I have a body again.

But just feeling it isn't enough — I have to see it with my own eyes to believe it. Slowly... very slowly, I open my eyes... I did it.

Ranji (in his mind): Someone is standing in front of me.

Big brown eyes, long hair with a bone-colored shimmer, a face with gentle wrinkles... She's gently wiping my face with a cloth.

But wait... why are his ears so long?! Isn't

he human?

Father: "Ooooh! He has your eyes, darling — those beautiful blue eyes. Hello, my treasure, I'm your

dad! Say 'Papa'... Papa?"

Ranji (in his mind): He's speaking to me?

His ears are just as long and pointy...

I remember seeing beings like this in a few anime — they were called "elves."

So if they are elves... then I must be one of them too. And these two people

are my new parents.

Mother: "Haha, darling, stop. He was just born, how could he already say 'Papa'? You have to wait

until he grows up. "Can I hold him for a moment, darling?"

Mother: "Hello, sweetheart, I'm your mommy... Charlotte. We've named you Lioran."

Ranji (in his mind): Mom?

So I've truly been reborn...

This isn't a dream.

And Charlotte is my new mother.

She's so beautiful... her eyes — a magical blue, her hair — shining pink.

When she smiled, she placed one hand on my head, the other on my back.

She gently stroked me...

The same love I once saw in my grandmother's eyes, I now saw in hers.

A lump formed in my throat.

I realized that if there had been any curse, it was now broken.

Because a sorrow that had been trapped inside me my entire previous life suddenly erupted. I

let out a loud cry and wept.

The tears flowed without end.

With every tear, a pain from the past came out...

All the darkness that had lived inside me was being washed away with my tears.

Mother: "Calm down, my little one... Mommy is here."

Ranji (in his mind): She gently kissed my forehead.

She didn't know how deeply those words shook my heart...

Because all my life, I had wished for someone to say something like that to me.

My crying simply wouldn't stop...

No matter how hard the parents tried — the tears kept flowing.

Day and night, the baby's crying echoed throughout the entire house.

Eventually, they summoned the royal court healer.

He examined the child repeatedly, murmured spells, placed his hands on the forehead... but found nothing.

Desperately, he shook his head and said: "This child has no wounds, no physical illness.

The pain he feels is not of the body… his crying is the scream of his soul. Let

it happen — his soul is releasing old wounds." Two nights passed. The baby cried… endlessly, without sleep.

The parents watched over him with anxious eyes.

Mother: "Sweetheart, please stop... don't cry, I'm so scared."

Father: "Just sleep a little, please..."

Mother: "He hasn't slept in two nights... what if something happens to him?" But

the tears kept coming.

The eyes did not grow tired, the soul found no peace.

Then, at the father's request, the healer returned.

He stood by the cradle, murmured strange words softly...Then he raised his hand.

A gentle green light flowed from his fingers, wrapping the child like a delicate mist.

It felt like a lullaby whispered directly into the soul.

For the very first time, the eyes grew heavy. The tears stopped.

And the child fell asleep – embraced by that light...
