An eight year old boy, inside a dark cage, suddenly opened his eyes. Looking around for a bit he was confused at first, then he held his head in pain as memories started to pour into his mind.
When the pain subdued, a blue screen appeared in front of him, and with some difficulties the boy read what was written on the screen.

Shaking his head, Kindaichi looked around and furrowed his brows "Looks like I'm in the world of Naruto, and in imprisoned in some kind of cage. I can think things through after escaping from this prison of mine."
Closing his eyes, he concentrated minute amount of chakra towards his eyes, to activate the Byakugan. Since his control was so high, he was able to do it effortlessly, and when he opened his eyes it turned from, brown iris with black pupil to pupil less white iris.
Gulping down, he touched the sides of his eyes and felt veins bulging.sighing, he looked around and was able to see through the dirt walls that were surrounding him from all sides except for the front side, where steps were present.
With his Byakugan active, he teleported outside the cage and climbed the stairs. When he reached the door, he saw through it and confirmed that there were no one outside guarding his prison. Then he pumped more chakra into his eyes and found a spot that was a kilometer away from his prison and teleported there.
As soon as he was out of the prison, he didn't look around, he teleported again to another kilometer. When he was almost five kilometer away from his prison, he deactivated his Byakugan and slowly changed his appearance minutely. 'I don't like the hair style and the eyebrows of the Kaguya Clan. Those have to go first.'
The first to change was his hair, from the partted in the middle to a spiky hair with a faded cut, then his dot like eyebrows filled out, giving him a normal eyebrow. Touching his changed hair and eyebrows, Kindaichi nodded with a content smile.
Looking around he saw that he was near a water body so he decided to check out his appearance. Looking at the reflection, he mumbled under his breath "This face is ten times better than the one in my last life. Let's keep it like this."
Shaking his head, he sat down under the shade of the tree nearby and thought to himself 'I died. Met a God, he gave me five wishes. Even if I had known I'm coming here, I would have wished for the same skills. After all, the God did say that I'll be sent to a random world to it's random time in it's random place. So, I lucked out in getting the Yin-Yang half parts of Hamura Otsutsuki.
The reasons for making those five skills my wishes were simple. With those five, I don't have to worry about getting captured, getting cloned or anything like that. And with the first two wishes alone, I can easily become overpowered in any world.'
Kindaichi shook his head with a rueful smile, then suddenly his eyes gleamed and thought 'I'm in the world of Naruto. The world were my first and second anime crush lives, and one of them dragged me down to the abyss of no return. I don't know in which timeline I'm right now, but I'm sure that it's before the Massacre of the Kaguya clan, as they're still alive and well. So that means if I know the timeline I have reincarnated then it's possible to find both of them.'
With the decision made, he said in his mind 'Fission.'
In an instant, there were hundred clones of him standing in attention, waiting for his orders. Nodding in satisfaction he said "Go search. Find out about the time line first, then we can help our crushes."
"Yeah!" All of them raised their hand in agreement and one by one, they started to change into people from his past life and set out to know about the timeline.
Closing his eyes, he thought 'If she's still alive then I have to do everything in my power to rescue her from her demise.'
Kindaichi just sat under the tree for the next three hours, he was not resting neither was he sleeping, he was looking through the information gathered by his clones in their hive mind. In those three hours, his clones have spread wide in the Land of Water in search of any information that would tell them about the time period that they found themselves in.
When Kindaichi opened his eyes after three hours, he laughed in mirth. "Ah! My dears, I'll soon find you and I'll take you for myself. Hahaha hahahaha"
After his villainous laugh, he ordered in his hive mind 'Stay sharp, and if you find the targets, inform immediately. I'll go personally there.'
Closing his eyes, he looked at his status. 'Earth, Lightning, Yin and Yang. I remember that if you combine Earth & Yang you will get Metal Release. Let me try it.'
With that thought, he extended his right habd and said in his mind 'Fusion: Earth Release and Yang Release.'
A ball of steel appeared in his hand and seeing that he smiled and muttered under his breath "If I continuously give my bones the Steel Release chakra, won't my bones become steel? Ohhhhh idea's are popping in my mind! Thank you God for these five wishes!!"
