Takeshi Watanabe was your average shut-in nerd. At 17, his world revolved around anime, gacha games, and arguing online about power scaling. He had just pulled a rare 5-star SSR character from his favorite mobile game, "Beast Emperors," when the doorbell rang. It was the delivery man with his long-awaited limited-edition Neko-Mancer figurine.
"Coming!" Takeshi shouted, eyes glued to his phone screen.
Fate, however, had other plans. In his haste to get the door, he tripped on a stack of light novels and tumbled into the street.
Screech. THUD.
Everything went black.
