Long ago, in Ancient Mesopotamia, there were the gods. The gods were powerful beings, who, despite their flaws, guided humanity towards a prosperous civilization. One of these civilizations was the mighty city of Uruk, led by the great king Gilgamesh. However, with his rise came the decline of the gods, and mankind progressed further and further away from them. To prevent their power from diminishing due to the lack of believers, the gods condensed their entire beings and their myths and legends into several powerful weapons and scattered them across the world.
Several thouand years have passed since then.
At a certain dig site in what was once Mesopotamia, these weapons were uncovered by archaeologists. While some of the weapons were taken away for research, a few slipped by. The first weapon was Gilgamesh, the sword containing the legendary king's consciousness. The second weapon was Enkidu, the chains containing the consciousness of the legendary king's friend. The third weapon was Ishtar, the bow and arrow containing the consciousness of the god of love and war. The final weapon was Ereshkigal, the lance containing the consciousness of the ruler of the dead.
These four weapons flew towards their rightful wielders, aware of what was to come.
