My name is Ark.I am your average boy with glasses who does martial arts and play games his whole life.
You know?There is something oddly comforting about the city's narrow streets, like it is holding me in a quiet embrace.

"Maybe I should get an ice cream while gettin- "BOOM!
I flinched at the sound of the explosion and turned toward it.People were already pouring into the main street, running to the opposite direction of that sound.
"What the hell was that?".... are the people running? What are they running from?
"Run! There are bunch of animals coming this way!"someone in the crowds shouted.
They says run if you see other people running,then I should get runn-"Eve!?"
Eve,a person with what people would call a prefect body with dark eyes and hair and a cherry looking lip- wait why am I glazing her?
Eve is a friend of mine I have known since I was in junior high school and she is not someone who is stupid enough to run towards a dangerous direction for some stupid reasons.
"Hey! Eve! Where are you going?"
"Eh? Ark?!My sister is at her kindergarten.I have to make sure she is safe!"
Ah...she never told me she had a sister...
"have you tried calling the teachers?"
"I can't call the services at all,that is why I am going there.Excuse me but I have to hurry"
Hm.. can't call?Maybe the phone lines are over loaded due to too many calls?Wait.. the crowds said there are animals that way,so what if eve or the people there are in danger
"I heard that there are some animals there for some reasons.Can I tag along just in case you need some help?"
"Really?thanks!You would be a great help."
While running along with Eve,I grabbed two books and put the money on the counter even though the owner wasn't there.
"Ark?what are you doing?"
"I am just preparing in case of animal attacks."
i warped my forearms with the books and taped them,thus creating a wrist gauntlet to protect myself from animals bites.I learned that from zombie movies.
As we run through the crowds the informations about the explosion are updated on the phones.It seems that armies of animals are attacking the country from all the sides so the military and the police force is busy and can't sent help at all.
"We have to hurry Eve!We don't know when the animals would appear."
"We are almost ther- I see them!"
A group of kids and a teacher can be seen but most of them seem to be injured.
"Celina!Are you okay?"Eve asked in panic.
"Big sis?You came?"A little girl that look like almost like a toy girl answered.
"Yeah I wanted to make sure you ar-" Rahhhhhhhh!
I looked at where the sound came from.Then chills run down my spine out of fear instantly.
"Run!That is a freaking gorilla!"
What seems to be a silverback gorilla stood around 5 feets tall yet his whole body is bigger than any body builder I have ever seen.
Everyone ran to the opposite direction but some kids tripped over and some kids were frozen in fear.
The gorilla was getting closer to a little girl.A female teacher tried to pull away the girl but it was too late.She tried to shield the child with her body.
The gorilla started charging at them.
What should I do if I fight that thing I will probably die.There is no ways I can beat it even if there are 100 of me.The gorilla is getting clos- "Damn it!!!"
I charged at the gorilla tackling down and pushing him back.
The gorilla slam down it's fist and I tried to blocked my head.
"Aghhh!"
Even though I blocked that,it feel like every bone in my body is broken.I pushed him away while I can and I backed away.
My glasses is broken and blood start to falling down from my nose.
"Ark!no!" Eve shouted in terror.
It seems that all of the kids have run away far enough.
"Eve... go... now."I can barely stand and even if we both run away,that thing will caught up in no time.
"No,Ark!We c-"
"Just do me a favor and ran away already... please..."
Eve bit her lips and stood still.I knew she wouldn't run away like this,so I smiled faintly with all my strength left to ensure her that I will be okay.
Tears were filling up her eyes and she yelled"I will bring back help! You better not die!"
I nodded and she finally ran away.
"Wait,where is the goril-"rahhhhhhhh!
The gorilla was already charging at me.
I didn't have any strength left to dodge.Well ... at least everyone else is okay.
"Arghh!"
I was pushed away and fell to the ground.The gorilla bumped me with his shoulder?Oh,I almost forgot.Animals don't fight like humans.
The gorilla pulled me from legs and then he tried to bite my face but luckily I blocked it with my forearm but even with the 2 cm thick book covering my forearm his bite makes it feel that my hand is breaking into pieces.
I need to do something or I will die.
I crushed my glasses and slammed the broken pieces of glass into the gorilla's eyes.
The gorilla pushed me away and start slamming everywhere.
I saw a small metal fence Infront one of the houses and ran to grab one of the sharp tips.
I pulled one of the bar with every strength left in my body.
Luckily the bar was a bit weak already,so I managed to pull one off.
Now is my chance.
"Rahhhhh!!!!!"
I jumped on the back of the gorilla and started stabbing his neck with all my might.
He bit my hand.My hands started to bleed and the bones are already broken but I never stopped stabbing.
He slammed his back against the walls and tried to crush me but I never let go and keep stabbing.
Finally.
The gorilla fell to the ground and I also fell along with him.
"Ah..." I cant move my body anymore.I pondered if there were any bones left unbroken in my body.
I was almost blacking out but the ground suddenly started to shake.
I tried to my best to open my eyes.Then I saw an army of animals rushing towards my direction.
Wait there is more of them?I guess this is it for me.But then I saw a figure riding on an elephant among the animals.
When the they were getting closer that figure jumped down from elephant and every animal stopped moving forward.
Then the person walked towards me step by step menacingly.
When the person get close enough for me to to see her,she stopped.
She looks like a British with the golden hair and blue eyes wearing a cloak but the most outstanding feature on her body is the horn on her forehead.
Is she even a human?
"Did you kill that gorilla?"She asked me in an angry tone.
"Yea,I guess I did."
"What make you fight so stupidly,even for you to die?"
I gathered all my strength and answered."To protect."
She seem to be shook by the answer and she moved her gaze upon someone else.A person who was crushed by the gorilla laying dead on the ground.
"I..."She frowned her eyebrows as if she didn't want any of this to happen.
She then shook her head and stared at me again.
"This is just an warning for now"
Then she turned around and took her leave.All the other animals also follow behind her.
I could no longer hold my consciousness and blacked out.
