Chapter 1 - Veer Singhania

Veer Singhania woke up in an old room.

"This is not good… I've fallen into their trap."

He didn't even have the time to fully open his eyes or see clearly. He slammed his hands onto the ground and tried to leap forward.

After a fall, this is the first instinctive response of any Special Forces commando.

As soon as his hands touched the ground, a sharp pain shot through them—almost unbearable. When Veer looked around at his surroundings, he shivered.

"Veer, you're finally awake."

A gentle and soothing female voice entered his ears.

When Veer turned toward the source of the voice, he saw a delicate face filled with love and care looking straight at him. A woman stood before him—extraordinarily beautiful. Suddenly, memories began to flood Veer's mind.

Veer… a citizen of Delhi, Special Forces commando, Army Division. Throughout his service, he had performed countless commendable feats. He had participated in international elite military competitions, won honors as a top combatant, and had earned the title of "Weapon Specialist."

Later, during a multinational mission, a small mistake on his part cost a teammate's life. Wracked with guilt, he decided to leave the Special Forces.

After that incident, no one heard from him for a long time. He had moved abroad and become part of an internationally renowned organization. Any mission he undertook had a 100% success rate.

Although he had left the Special Forces years ago, his heart still belonged to his motherland.

Whenever he was offered a mission that could harm his country, not only did he reject it, but he also exposed the identity of the person who issued it. He would eliminate that person to ensure no one dared to attempt such a mission again.

As time passed, he became a thorn in the side of all those who wished harm upon his nation. In the eyes of other countries, he was a ticking time bomb. Wherever he went, carnage followed.

Many countries conspired against him. World-class assassins were hired to kill him. But since Veer had once worked as an assassin himself, not a single one of them ever returned alive.

Over time, his life became more peaceful. Eventually, even assassins stopped accepting missions related to Veer. They knew trying to kill him was equivalent to suicide.

Veer wasn't just a weapons expert—he was also a skilled boxer. He had even successfully developed his internal energy.

There were hardly any worthy rivals left for him in the world. And if anyone did dare challenge him, Veer would destroy them so thoroughly they'd never dare challenge anyone again.

Some time ago, Veer received word from his most trusted friend.

Some of his enemies had developed a colorless and tasteless biological weapon, which they intended to use against his country. Veer couldn't sit still! He had his friend locate their hideout and went to stop them.

His friend had told him that all his enemies were hiding together in a cave. But as soon as Veer entered, the cave started collapsing and he got trapped inside a cage.

When he saw all his enemies standing outside the cage, armed, he immediately realized what had happened. It was a setup… a conspiracy against him.

He had been betrayed by the person he trusted the most. Otherwise, how would his enemies have known he was coming? Even as he was dying, Veer couldn't figure out why his friend had betrayed him.

"Hahaha…"

As these memories returned, Veer couldn't hold himself back and burst into laughter. His heart brimmed with joy.

"Veer, what's wrong? Don't scare your mother like this."

That soft voice returned, but this time with clear concern.

A whirlwind of emotions stirred inside Veer. He was sure he didn't recognize the woman standing before him.

But looking into her eyes, he somehow felt that she meant him no harm.

Just as Veer was about to ask the beautiful woman a question, a stream of foreign memories surged into his mind.

It felt like a lightning bolt had struck him. He was completely stunned.

From these new memories, Veer realized he had entered someone else's body. But the strangest part was that the person he now inhabited was also named Veer Singhania.

Veer Singhania, age 15…

A resident of Saanchi, a member and disciple of the Mishra family—though bearing the surname Singhania instead of Mishra. His mother, Revati Mishra, was the ninth elder of the Mishra family.

Elders were the most powerful members of the family, and the family head—also known as the Clan Chief—was revered on the same level.

He had no memories of his father.

These foreign memories also revealed why the original Veer was severely injured and bedridden.

That morning, Ravi—the youngest son of the seventh elder—had insulted Veer by calling him an illegitimate child, one who knew only his mother but not his father.

This enraged Veer, and he fought Ravi.

But Veer hadn't yet entered the Physical Realm, while Ravi was already a second-level warrior within it. Ravi had severely wounded him, leaving him on the brink of death.

Veer took a deep breath. The new Veer had fully taken over the old Veer's body, including his memories. He understood that from now on, he would have to live as this Veer. He was now this world's Veer.

"Mistress, the Clan Chief has sent some medicine."

A new voice caught Veer's attention. When he turned, he saw Revati's maid standing at the door, holding a small box. She quickly entered the room and handed the box to Revati. As soon as it was opened, a medicinal fragrance filled the air.

"Veer, take this medicinal pill while I treat your injuries."

Revati pulled out a black-colored pill from the box and handed it to Veer.

Taking a deep breath, Veer opened his mouth and swallowed the pill.

It dissolved instantly and transformed into a warm energy inside his body.

Revati then placed her hand on his chest, and a cool energy flowed into him, merging with the warm medicinal flow and accelerating his healing.

One hour later...

Veer realized that half of his pain was gone and his injuries were healing. He was stunned. Was that pill some kind of magical medicine?

Meanwhile, he noticed that Revati's face had turned pale, with cold sweat dripping from her forehead. Clearly, she had used a lot of internal energy to heal him.

"Mom, are you okay?" Veer asked gently.

He had never felt the way he was feeling now. No one had ever done anything for him before. But Revati's concern warmed his heart.

"I'm fine… I just need a little rest," Revati replied with a smile.

Using a little internal energy for her son was nothing to her.

Half an hour later, the maid reentered and softly said, "Mistress, the Clan Chief sent someone to ask if you're ready to release Ravi. The Clan Chief and the Seventh Elder are waiting in the Punishment Hall."

"Release him? Go tell the messenger to inform the Clan Chief that I will personally investigate this matter!"

The gentleness vanished from Revati's face, replaced by fury.

Veer felt a bit uneasy.

He had never imagined that this flower-like, gentle, and beautiful woman—who had spoken so lovingly just moments ago—could become so fierce.

"Mother, what was the pill you gave me earlier? I think my wounds are almost healed."

Veer got up from the bed and asked while stretching.

"Oh, that! It was an eighth-grade 'Suvarnakshati' pill. It heals wounds very quickly," Revati replied with a soft smile.

Eighth-grade Suvarnakshati pill!

Veer rifled through the foreign memories in his mind.

He discovered that the Mishra family of Saanchi only had two such pills—and he had already used one. This made him realize just how influential his mother was within the Mishra family.

"Veer, the Clan Chief is waiting for us. Let's go!"

With that, Revati took Veer to the family's Punishment Hall.

This room was where all wrongdoers were punished. Torture instruments were scattered all around.

This is where the Mishra family's disciples were disciplined, hence its name. In Veer's previous world, such a room would've been called a "courtroom."

It was noon, and the sun blazed overhead.

The hall was filled with people. The entire Mishra family had gathered to watch the spectacle. No one cared about Ravi or Veer. They were only interested in seeing who would get punished.

In the center of the courtyard, a young man was tied to a pillar under the harsh sun, with two middle-aged men standing beside him.

As soon as the man on the right saw Veer and his mother arrive, his face twisted with anger.

"Look, Veer is here. I didn't think the family's precious eighth-grade Suvarnakshati pill would actually be so effective that it healed Veer's grave injuries so quickly."

"Yes, I was there when Veer was brought in half-dead. I thought he'd never get out of bed again. But now look at him…"

Revati approached Veer, who was still tied up in front of Ravi.

"Veer, now is the time for revenge. You should hit Ravi the same way he hit you."
