Chapter 169 - Chapter 169 — “A Familiar Dance”

Location: Avalon Elite Academy – Late Afternoon

The whispers hadn't stopped.

In fact, they'd grown.

The new guy—the one who flipped fifteen students and smiled through lunch with Avalon's elite—had become a legend in 24 hours.

And now?

He was strolling the halls like he'd gone here for years.

Scene: Class Introductions

Advanced Strategy & Political History

Professor Mathers glanced up from the roster.

"Grayson Lysander?"

"Here," he answered smoothly, sliding into the front row.

He didn't speak much.

But when asked a question, his answers were sharp, layered, and hauntingly insightful.

Zaria leaned toward Selene.

"He talks like someone who's run a country."

Selene: "Maybe he has."

Scene: Music Club

Grayson wandered into the music room after spotting Arielle and Nova inside.

He sat at the grand piano.

Cracked his fingers.

And started to play.

Soft. Melancholic. Flawless.

The room silenced instantly.

Nova (barely whispering): "That's the song he played when he proposed to me."

Azra (listening from the hallway): "He's showing off again."

Caelan: "And it's working."

Scene: The Dance Club Room

Elina had joined to blend in. Nova dragged him there too.

He offered to pair up—grabbing Elina's hand with practiced ease.

Grayson: "Careful. I might lead too well."

Elina (smirking): "Then don't complain when I step on your ego."

They danced.

Graceful. Dominant. Mesmerizing.

Students in the corner whispered:

"Where did he learn to move like that?"

"Who is he really?"

Scene: Behind the Curtain

Later that night, back in the private dorm wing, Caelan sat with Azra and Liora.

Caelan: "So he plays piano, dances like a royal, and teaches political strategy in his sleep."

Liora (musing): "He's not even trying to impress. He just is."

Azra: "This is definitely how Dad got Mom."

They all nodded.

Then paused.

And laughed.

Final Scene: Quiet Rumblings Below

Deep beneath Avalon—far from the school lights—something stirred.

Old wards twitched.

A pressure… ancient and cold… breathed against forgotten stones.

Something knew Phantom was here.

And it did not like it.
