A small, overly cutesy chibi avatar of himself popped up in the corner of his vision and waved.
"Hiya! Welcome back! You haven't died yet! Yay!"
"...." Kaito just ignored what he just saw and heard in hope's to keep his sanity.
He looked at the message option and was curious who sent him a message, as the system had just updated.
[Sender: Goddess of Explosions] "Yo newbie! Welcome to the club. You're the 7th member of this lovely bugged-out group chat. If you can see this, congrats—you've been drafted into cosmic nonsense. Try not to die before you hit puberty. – Megumin 😎💥"
Kaito blinked a couple of times, trying to register what he had just read.
"...Megumin? As in Megumin?! from konosuba"
Suddenly, the chat interface blinked and displayed a welcome message.

Kaito stared in awe.

Kaito lay back in his crib, arms behind his head, staring at the ceiling.
