Chapter 26 - Old drunkard!

Shadow Kill keenly sensed something, but he didn't care.

If Lin helped him complete this task, he could leave the novice village.

As for what Lin planned to do afterward, that had nothing to do with him.

"I'll take you to level ten, and then we'll go find Old Drunkard."

Lin sent a team invitation.

He was originally planning to grind monsters to increase his health, but reaching level ten without leaving the novice village meant he couldn't continue to gain experience.

So, he simply helped Shadow Kill out.

With Lin's help, Shadow Kill leveled up quickly.

In less than half an hour, he had already reached level ten.

"Let's go, let's go find Old Drunkard."

Lin walked towards the direction of the mine, searching for ore, which was likely the location of the mine.

However, after circling around here, they couldn't find Old Drunkard.

"Where did this guy go?"

Shadow Kill frowned.

Lin also frowned. He always felt like a pair of eyes were watching him.

This feeling of being watched was very unpleasant.

"Come out, you've been following us for so long."

Lin looked around. He was very confident in his intuition; there must be someone nearby.

Shadow Kill was a little surprised. There were people around them, but how come he hadn't noticed at all?

"Hahaha, truly, talents emerge from every generation. So young, yet already so powerful!"

A loud laugh came, and then they saw a disheveled old man holding a wine gourd walking over.

Old Drunkard: Level 12.

Health: ???

Attack: ???

Skills: ???

(Note: The tavern owner of the novice village seems to be searching for something near the mine. Maybe you can help.)

If ordinary players encountered this, they might really accept a quest from Old Drunkard.

Lin looked at Old Drunkard, and the old drunkard also looked at Lin with his bleary eyes.

"Snow Emperor, you've recently become quite famous in our novice village. But you're already level ten, why haven't you gone to the main city yet?"

Lin smiled and said, "Alas, it's not that I don't want to leave, it's just that the old village chief gives too much."

"What? The old village chief asked you to kill me?"

Lin raised his eyebrows. "It seems you already know. In that case, allow me to learn from a senior's skills."

As soon as he finished speaking, Lin immediately shot an arrow.

"Swish!"

The arrow pierced through the air.

Old Drunkard narrowed his eyes, did a backflip, and steadily avoided Lin's arrow.

"Hey, don't be so angry. Isn't it better to discuss things?"

Old Drunkard looked at Lin with a smile.

"What the old village chief can give you, I might not be able to give you."

As he spoke, Old Drunkard placed his wine pot in front of Lin.

"Quest Requirement: Drink a glass of wine and leave the novice village immediately."

"Quest Penalty: None."

"Quest Reward: Free Attribute Points + 50."

Lin and Shadow Kill looked at each other, both seeing shock in each other's eyes.

The reason was none other than this.

The reward Old Drunkard gave was simply too generous.

From a certain perspective, it had already exceeded their imagination.

Others needed to complete the old village chief's departure quest to leave the novice village.

They could do it by just taking a sip of wine.

Not only that, but they could even get such a generous reward.

Fifty free attribute points were equivalent to leveling up ten times.

"As for your quest penalty, don't worry. After drinking my wine, you will be teleported away from the novice village on the spot."

"The old village chief will also be unable to impose any quest penalties on you."

Lin knew that Old Drunkard was telling the truth.

This quest was simple, and the rewards were generous.

But he still hesitated.

The reason was none other than this.

If he obtained the quests from his two quest scrolls, he would receive the blessings of the gods, and even the worst outcome would probably be better than this.

Shadow Kill accepted the quest after only a slight hesitation.

He had never intended to continue participating.

Now that there was such a good opportunity to end things, he had no reason to refuse.

After Shadow Kill drank the wine, he left the novice village.

Old Drunkard looked at Lin with a smile, "What about you?"

Lin didn't answer, but instead directly nocked an arrow and drew his bow.

"Swish!"

The arrow pierced through the air.

A cold glint flashed in Old Drunkard's eyes, "What exactly did the old village chief give you that could make you do this for him?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Old Drunkard spat out a mouthful of strong liquor.

The strong liquor transformed into a flying sword in mid-air, flying in front of Lin in the blink of an eye.

Lin slammed his longbow onto the flying sword, while simultaneously tumbling to the side.

This series of movements was smooth and seamless, showing no flaws.

At the same time, he nocked an arrow and drew his bow again.

The battle began!

Lin knew very little about Old Drunkard. His attributes, his skills, Lin knew none of these.

When he completed the quest before, Lin obtained twenty free attribute points, and he still added them all to movement speed.

Allowing his movement speed to increase by another 2 points.

His attack speed was already enough at this stage.

Even because his damage was too high, an attack speed of three point something couldn't be fully utilized.

Movement speed became an attribute that Lin needed to focus on developing next.

As long as his movement speed was sufficient, his kiting ability would be greatly improved.

"Swish!"

"Swish!"

.....

Lin's attacks were constant. He didn't blindly pursue damage, but instead strived to prevent Old Drunkard from dealing damage.

However,

Old Drunkard's combat experience was more abundant than Lin had imagined.

He splashed wine from the wine pot in his hand, and then threw out a fire starter.

Flames enveloped Lin.

Lin had nowhere to avoid.

-921.

-921.

-921.

.....

The burning damage continued non-stop, Lin only felt his scalp tingle.

Because this flame burned for a full eight seconds!

More than seven thousand health points disappeared into thin air.

Lin opened the distance, and at the same time, the String Twisting Arrow Technique was used.

He wanted to knock Old Drunkard into the air. Only in this way could he quickly deplete Old Drunkard's health through combos.

Old Drunkard discovered Lin's intention, opened the wine gourd in his hand to deflect Lin's arrow, and then actually threw the wine gourd towards Lin.

Lin was shocked and immediately dodged.

He had already tried his best to open the distance.

But his movement speed was still not enough. The wine gourd exploded five meters in front of him.

"Boom!"

Only a loud noise was heard.

Lin was blown away by the huge impact of the wine gourd's explosion.

-8520.

A huge damage number appeared above Lin's head, and Lin's health bar also dropped sharply.

Before Lin could fall from the air, Old Drunkard turned into an afterimage and appeared below Lin.

"Bang!"

Old Drunkard punched Lin in the stomach from below, sending Lin flying into the air.

-1029.

Because he was knocked into the air, Lin couldn't attack, but he didn't sit still and wait for death either.

He instantly switched his main weapon, and a complete set of Black Iron Treant equipment appeared on his body.
