While awake, he just kept staring. From what he heard, he was pretty sure it wasn't a language he knew, but he somehow understood it. Then, like a flash of lightning, memories of the original owner of this body flooded through his mind, seeing all the processes he went through, feeling all the pain. It was more like someone playing a VR game directly from his eyes without being able to move and also feeling all the pain.
He closed his eyes after getting the memory, finding out the owner of this body was Lucian Marcellus, and his family was a noble family, though they didn't have much influence due to them being barons—or more precisely, his father, who is now... Then what was left now was his big sister and mother, and also his dad's sister.
While he was going through these memories, he also came to know he wasn't in the normal Earth he knew, and he really began to doubt if he really got reincarnated as people call it. Because, for one, he never really knew if the God he knew existed. There was a lot going on in his mind, but he decided to keep that for later.
From the memories, he found out people around here used what is called magic or mana, and there were many mana awakenings, or just called it "awaken," where people develop different strengths once they get to 13 years of age. You awaken as different races like elves, beastmen, druids, mermen, etc., and there are other places called the demon realm, where demons of all kinds rule, and they also have a place called the angel realm, where angels rule.
While he was going through the memories, he learned he got kidnapped and brought here due to his blood, and they had been taking his blood and other organs from him to create a pill capable of regenerating a limb without any scar. And he wasn't the only one; there were other people beside him in this underground prison. But he heard the woman called Aria say that he was by far the most successful project, meaning his blood was the best, giving the pills a 95% healing regeneration property, while other test subjects had up to 45%, with the best one beside me being 50%.
So he couldn't explain why his healing ability was on another scale. After all, he was a druid—he knew that, right? His father is a druid, so he was pretty sure he was one too. Anyway, so he couldn't explain why his healing ability was on another scale.
After going through all the memories, he calmed down. The best option now was to escape from here. While looking at the woman Aria, who had blue hair and blue eyes, a bit voluptuous, making her look like a seductress with the oversized lab coat she was wearing, making her look even more attractive... Though he was thinking of all this, he knew for a fact she had a few screws loose in her head because she was the person that tortured him the most, because of her desire to discover what this body could do.
Though druids, while not being strong enough, from birth at the age of 10, they start unlocking most of their bloodline abilities and are known to have quick healing abilities. But his is on another level, being able to regenerate a whole new limb. So while knowing all this, he knew he wasn't a normal druid, making him doubt what he was, because he knows he can't be human just because his mom was... Bloodlines don't get mixed, and it's really hard to get a mutation of two different races. So either you become one and at least have a few characteristics of the other race, or you don't. So he was kind of confused.
While he was thinking all this, he heard a voice in his head: "Oh, first thing you did after coming here was checking out the women of this world? Ohoh!"
Though who could somehow understand whoever brought him here was the one talking to him, he didn't react much and was just trying to look for a way to get out of here. Then he heard the voice again: "Are you ignoring me?" Yet he didn't reply until he heard, "You want to get out of here?" And he replied with a simple "Yes," with not much change in his expression.
Then the voice kept quiet. After a while, it said, "I can help you out of here." He didn't reply right away, just kept staring blankly, watching how Aria stood up and left the room. Then after some time, he replied, "Why bring me here?"
The voice didn't reply to him, and he didn't say anything. The silence just kept on. After a while, the voice said, "Do you want to get out of here?"
He then replied, "If you're not telling me anything, I'm not obligated to reply to you. I don't care if I die again; death doesn't scare me. So you bringing me to this world means you need something from me, and don't think I am naive enough to believe you brought me here to save me or some bullshit like that."
The voice didn't reply after a while, so he kept quiet, thinking maybe the voice was looking for a way to present it to him. He just kept quiet. After a while, he heard the voice again: "I can't say much. All I can say is that you have to grow stronger before I can tell you anything."
He didn't react much because he already expected something like this. After a while, he asked, "And how will you help me out of here?"
And the voice replied, "If I help you out of here, you won't be able to talk to me for a while. I will need some time to recover my energy."
And he asked, "How long are we talking?" And the voice replied, "Two to three months, give or take."
Then he replied, "That is fine by me. Do what you have to do, then. But I want to ask how?" And he got the reply, "Sit back and watch, but whatever happens now, do not fight it. Just accept it and go with the flow."
And he replied with a nod. After that, he could feel some strange energy entering his body, more like he was drinking water but in a large quantity. Then it was as if the water in his body was asking if it could take over his body. Since he didn't care if he died, he just went with the flow. After going inside his body, he could feel it like he wasn't in his body again. All he could do was just see from his eyes and nothing more.
After that, he asked the voice, "Did you take over my body?" He got the reply, "Yes, but your body is too weak. I will only be able to sustain the energy in it for 10 minutes at most, but there will be other side effects. We can worry about that later."
Then he replied with an "OK." Then the chain he had been struggling to break broke away with a snap, and even the legs and neck chains broke away. Then he broke the tube he was in. After that, he could hear people running to the room.
The first one to enter was Aria, along with five men who looked like guards of sorts, wearing armor and carrying weapons, with two carrying spears and the three carrying swords. As soon as they saw him, they surrounded him, while Aria just stood there staring like she had seen a ghost. And then she shouted, "You! How can you be alive? You are supposed to be dead! How are you alive?"
She didn't even know how to react. Then she looked at the chains, seeing they were broken. Her face turned pale with fright. Then she ran away from the room while shouting, "Stop him!"
The guards heeded her words and jumped into action, while Lucian didn't move, just staring at the guards. Since the voice said he was going to take care of everything, he left it to him. He tried to move his body but couldn't, so he just kept watching.
Then he felt something growing out from his waist area. He was wondering if it was a tail. Then he saw it with wide eyes. What grew out from his waist were two blood-red spikes—or he didn't even know if he should call them spikes, because they looked like octopus tentacles but in a spiky form, blood-red and huge, with the tips being sharp.
Then, as soon as the guard attacked him, one of the spike tentacles moved on its own, fast—so fast that he couldn't see it—cutting the guard's spear along with his head, bringing silence to the room. Then the other guards shouted, probably calling for backup. Before he could finish, the tentacles moved again, stabbing straight to his heart. He had his eyes wide open, looking down, wondering how that thing stretched all the way to him. Then the tentacles started draining blood from him, and then he died.
The new guards rushing in saw the whole scene and were scared shitless. Then they all attacked together. Lucian watched as his body moved on its own, killing anyone that stopped in its way and also growing claws like that of an eagle, moving with speed he couldn't understand. Anywhere he went, someone died—guts spilled out, organs tearing, throats ripped—it was a bloodbath and a one-sided massacre.
