Scene 1: Morning routine
Alex Thompson stepped out of the capitol building, squinting in the bright sunlight.He took a deep breath, feeling the weight of responsibility settle onto his shoulders .As senior aids to senator Rachel Jenkins,he was used to the demand of the job,"Good morning senator"Alex said, nodding to his boss the senator's expression was tensed and Alex's instinct tucked in ,"what's wrong?",he asked, falling into step beside her.
Senator Jenkins stooped in front of Alex ,her expression tense,'Alex,I need you to look into something.there's been a rumor circulating about a potential scandal involving one of our donors!!
Alex's eyes narrowed,"what kind of scandal senator?
"Apparently, there's been some shady dealings with one of our major contributors ,I want you to dig deep, find out what's going on,and get me answers,"
Alex's nodded, taking out his notebook,"I'll get right on it, senator, who's the donor"
"Reginald Thornton.He's been a big supporter,but I don't want anything to compromise our integrity,"I'll investigate and report back to you ASAP"
