Around him, his eyes curiously watched as a large circle of spiritual Qi formed around the altar, and the various cultivators of different power levels who were present. The most important figure was the ritual master, an elder dressed in white robes with an aura of deep wisdom, who was tasked with leading the event.
"— Today, young Ye Tian will awaken his Spiritual Root, and the entire Ye Clan will witness his potential!" — announced Patriarch Ye Zhentian, his voice firm and filled with pride.
Ye Tian didn't care. He had lived enough to understand that most ceremonies were a big waste of time. He was there more for amusement than to show anything.
At first, the event seemed like any other common Spiritual Root ceremony, where the younger generation was tested to determine their talent and power.
"— Ye Tian, come here." — Elder Li Feng extended his hand, asking him to approach.
Ye Tian hesitated for a moment, and when placed on the altar, he felt the curious gazes of everyone on him. They didn't know what to expect from such a small child, but with a name like Ye Tian, the expectations were high.
"— Don't waste my time." — he muttered to himself, hiding the mischievous smile that began to form on his lips.
Elder Li Feng then placed a small crystal-shaped gem on his forehead, activating the Spiritual Root test. The crystal glowed with a soft light, and a flow of Qi gathered around Ye Tian.
The test didn't take long to reveal the truth, but when the spiritual Qi spread, a huge surprise occurred.
The gem glowed with such intensity that it made the cultivators around, including Patriarch Ye Zhentian, turn pale.
"— What... what is this?" — one of the elders asked, his voice trembling.
Li Feng seemed stunned, and the expression on Patriarch Ye Zhentian's face was a mixture of astonishment and suspicion.
Ye Tian, on the other hand, remained quiet, his eyes blinking rapidly in a beam of mild sarcasm. He already knew what was going to happen.
The crystal gem began to shine like a star, casting beams of light over the altar. But instead of simply releasing a common Qi, it generated a huge wave of spiritual energy, so dense and pure that it felt almost tangible.
"— This... this Qi is... impossible!" — Elder Li Feng exclaimed, trembling.
With great difficulty, he managed to remove the gem from Ye Tian's forehead. But the light persisted, and everyone present was in total silence, unable to believe what had just occurred.
Ye Tian looked at the elder, almost pitying him.
"— I've warned you... I'm a genius. I don't have time for boring events."
Patriarch Ye Zhentian, despite the shock, quickly regained his composure.

Ye Tian didn't react, but his thoughts were elsewhere. While everyone else was amazed by what he had demonstrated, he, who had already been a Great Spiritual Saint, simply sighed inwardly.

With a mischievous smile, he turned and watched as the members of the Ye Clan gathered around the altar. There was something in the air that wasn't right, but Ye Tian wasn't interested in escaping anymore.
He already knew: his new destiny was just beginning.
