Chapter 4 - Holiday notes 4

ʜᴏʟɪᴅᴀʏ ɴᴏᴛᴇs 4

"Holiday, hope you enjoyed my bars?" my aunt asked, interrupting my thoughts.

"Yeah, Aunty Margret," I answered, somewhat hesitant.

I could hear some laughter. "You haven't changed a bit, dear. When you're done, come upstairs; let me show you to your room," she said.

I was already finished. I couldn't wait to see what she had prepared for me. If she could give me chocolate bars for dinner, I wasn't expecting a very nice room.

Walking into the room, I was pleasantly surprised. It had lavender walls with floral patterns, a canopy bed with sheer curtains, and a vanity table. It was a princess-themed room in my favorite color, lavender. I was truly amazed.

"Thank you," I said, sincerely appreciating her efforts.

Patting my back, Aunty Margret replied, "You're my baby," then she walked out, giving

me privacy to explore my room.

"My belongings were arranged neatly. I sat on the bed, feeling the softness of the beddings. I did feel like a princess."

"Ouch!" I screamed, my head clouded with imaginary voices.

"Who is this? Is this someone new? I don't think we need a new one. She's beautiful," was

what I could hear before darkness enveloped me.

"Holiday," I heard my name. I flew my eyes open and saw my aunt with some bags.

I stared at her, trying to collect my thoughts.

"Sleepyhead," my aunt said.

"I'm not a sleepyhead," I defended myself.

Standing up, I walked to the dressing room mirror. I noticed I had dark circles under my eyes, and my physical appearance wasn't at its best.
