It was quiet. Perhaps, this was the feeling of solitude? Or could it be loneliness in my heart?
It was starting to get to me. The neverending corridor of darkness. And the piercing silence in the air.
After the elevator "supposedly" crashing, I came to my senses and opened my eyes yet, all that came to view was the eerie darkness that came upon me. At first, I thought I was still inside the elevator but, it seemed like the walls stretched on endlessly.
I was in a different place.
Was this hell? No... I'm no saint but I surely ain't a horrible enough human being to find myself in that place.
Purgatory. I thought to myself, accepting my fate. "It seems like that truly was my last day on earth huh." I was worried for what might happen now but deep in the back of my mind i thought to myself, "finally, something different."
I glanced over the surroundings to see nothing but darkness. Feeling anxious on staying idle, I had decided to at least walk for a few paces to see whether this place had and end or a beginning.
What seemed to be a few minutes of walking in one direction, something finally came to view.
I squinted, "Is that light..?" A small dot of light could be seen piercing through the darkness in the distance. Rushed on by a thrilling feeling in my chest I had decided to sprint as fast as I can to find the source of the light.
"Welcome number twelve" A voice called out to me in the distance, they were inelligible yet I could completely discern their words...I found myself confused at this contradictory notion.
"Worry not, push forward towards the light and I shall answer whatever questions you may have." Said the odd voice, as if in response to my thoughts.
It was a wide area with eleven other similar looking corridors only differing in color and, in the middle lied a massive throne of white.
"Are you perhaps-"
"God". They finished my sentence before i could even utter. I looked at the towering throne in the middle to no avail. It seems like this so called "God" was hiding their form, all that I could see was a shining bright light in its place. After chuckling to themselves they continued. "Well then, it would seem that we are ready to start. If the twelve of you would please stand on the pillars right infront of you.
From the empty space beside the towering throne, several pillars rose up with differing colors akin to their respective corridors.
"I will now brief you on what has happened. As you already may have realized, you have all died and the world has ended. But worry no-"
"Hey!! What kind of bulls##t is this! We're dead?!?! How could someone like me possibly-"

It sounded as if the very air was cut through by a finely sharpened blade.
"Know your place, you're just a man who lived from leeching off others, for what purpose does your life benefit this world to begin with?"
Said condescendingly by the rough and sharp voice behind the throne.
"My, my Luna how careless of you, now we're less than twelve participants for our little game." Said the God playfully
It seems like our lives mean of little value up here...thinking that, I subconsciously tensed up.
"Huh what do you mean twelve? Arent we just getting seven of these bastards?"
*sigh "Luna didn't we already talk about this? I was about to elaborate on that until you interrupted me!"
"I- ah my apologies..." Said the formerly sharp voice, uncharacteristicly sheepish.
"Well then my friends its about time we get to the meat and potatoes."
-As I had said your lives no longer exist and the world had ended. Now worry not, it was me that decided to put an end to that world.
*sigh it was getting boring you know? I don't wanna spend the next eon of my life watching a bunch of salarymen and the progression of businesses. The people here in purgatorio also agree. And so we had a majority voting on executing the 789th scramble of the providences! Which takes us right here to the present!
I cant say I'm following any of this to be honest...
"Ahhh... well explaning things has never been one of mt strong points in the first place. Y'know what I'll just show you what's gonna happen here."
With a thud the pillars we were on started to sink slowly into the depths of the empty space beside the throne.
"This is just something like an entrance requirement! You humans take a lot of those right? This'll be easy peasy for you guys"
For seven of you anyways...heh heh
With that ominous concluding remark, we descended into the dark depths.
