A pitch-black night.
When the shadows of two young men overlap beneath the moonlight (please do not misunderstand).
This is just a murder. The shadow above, with both hands tightly gripping the neck of the young man below, released his hold only when he confirmed that the priest beneath him was dead.
After that brief moment, just as the shadow reached out to caress the priest's perfectly beautiful face, the person who should have been dead—Erebus—suddenly opened his eyes. The two of them locked gazes for a moment, and then Erebus kicked his legs and thrust his foot into the shadow's body. He quickly scrambled up in a dog-paddle motion, panicking as he began to flee aimlessly.
Who am I?!
Where am I?!
Erebus' mind was in chaos. Shouldn't he have been at home, writing? Where was this place? As he ran, he felt an intense heat coursing through his body, as if some kind of power was awakening within him. Many memories surged into his mind.
He was a novelist from Earth who wrote stories about Emperor.
He was Erebus, a priest of the Holy Covenant!
Amidst the chaotic memories, Erebus knelt to the ground. He had arrived in the Warhammer 30k universe!
A chaotic, godly universe teeming with all sorts of creatures! And he was the key player in the Horus Heresy! He was the infamous Erebus, the one everyone wanted to kill, the one who would always be hit with two explosive shots if anyone had a chance!
The game started with a bombshell!
Erebus anxiously glanced back at the ever-approaching shadow behind him. He looked down at his clothes, which were torn and ripped, and at his large hands. Had his hands really been that big just now?
As Erebus pondered this, the shadow behind him arrived, slowing its pace. The figure looked at Erebus, now towering at two meters tall, a hint of confusion in his eyes. Had this guy really been this tall just moments ago?
Just as the shadow stood there puzzled, Erebus raised his eyes.
Both of them shared a look of fear—one didn't know what changes had occurred to Erebus, while the other saw this person, who had tried to take his place, chasing him down, intent on killing him.
"Erebus, this is a misunderstanding."
The shadow assessed their physical differences, looking at Erebus, who was dressed in tatters. He tried to lower Erebus' guard while searching the area for any nearby weapons.
Similarly, Erebus looked at the person in front of him who was trying to take his place, scanning the surroundings for anything useful.
"You killed me once already, my friend."
Erebus spotted a large rock and felt confident he could lift it.
"Sorry, great priest, I only saw in a book that a great priest would eventually meet their god, and I was simply helping you along the path to the god"
The shadow's eyes brightened. He quickly bent down to pick up a rock. Just as he was about to launch a surprise attack, a figure blocked the moonlight. Erebus stood tall, holding the large rock above his head, staring coldly at the crouching man—the one who would eventually be responsible for the Horus Heresy!
The rock came crashing down on the filthy bastard's head, splattering white and red everywhere. Erebus looked at the now thoroughly dead body in front of him, his eyes flashing with shock and disbelief. How had this guy died so quickly?
When Erebus confirmed that the one who tried to murder him was truly beyond saving, he collapsed to the ground, gasping for air.
He immediately began to gag.
It wasn't because of the killing. It was because the man's brain matter had splattered into his mouth.
Lying on the ground, as his breathing finally calmed, a more pressing issue arose.
How on earth was he going to survive in this damn world? And what about the fact that he was Erebus?
The mastermind behind the Emperor's throne!
The very source of the Horus Heresy!
Even in the subspace, few gods were willing to spare him a glance!
Thinking of this, Erebus furrowed his brows. As a Blue Star human, he had to live one day at a time. As long as he wasn't corrupted by subspace, that would be a victory!
And then...
Erebus clenched his hand.
Had he always been this tall? Or was it just now? Could it be that he was being watched by some subspace entity?
Just as Erebus was lost in thought, his stomach growled.
"Home, time for a meal!"
Erebus thought with a grimace. After all, he couldn't just cry out like a weakling or find a place to end it all. Living meant eating!
Just as Erebus walked back for about ten minutes, he saw a man in red Holy Covenant robes running toward him in a panic. His stumbling figure left Erebus confused.
"Erebus! Erebus!"
The man shouted loudly.
Erebus, recognizing that the man wore the same attire as him, surmised that he too might be a priest of the Holy Covenant.
"I'm here!"
Erebus called out to the man.
The man quickly ran toward him.
