Sadie was standing next to Arya covered in blood both girls were silent. As they stood together grasping one another thunder and rain pounded down on their grandma's house. It was pitch black in the basement a little moonlight creeped in thru the storm windows. The smell was God awful both girls were hunched down behind some old book shelfs eyes glued to the basement door. They wouldn't dare look away for they alone knew what was on the other side. Clothes tattered; Arya was holding a loaded shot gun she looked at Sadie arms shaking pointed the gun at the door. Saide looked at her '' Shoot her as soon as she comes in don't hesitate its either her or us '' Arya rested the barrel on the bookshelf and squinted one eye she was ready! Arya was ready to shoot her grandma the second she seen her. Sadie picked up a hammer from a box on the ground, both girls were scared breathing heavily. The sounds got closer, and the door flew open green smoke was everywhere felt like there was a wind machine on the other side of the door. The dust settled tall dark figure stood in the doorway eyes glowing red. Smell of fish was so strong they could practically taste it; Arya took a deep breath and fired the gun... BOOM! Arya went flying backwards into the wall.
Early that day the girls were getting picked up from school by their mom. This was a very special day Sadie and Arya were super excited because they had planned on spending the weekend at grandma's house. The girls loved being there so much between the baking and shopping the cuddles, toys they were always getting spoiled. There just was nothing like being at grandmas. Granny would always get a pizza and let the girls stay up late to watch movies. It was family tradition after all. The drive to Grandma's house was an hour or so. Mom had a cleaning job that night, so she was driving the girls straight to grandmas after school. The girls were so happy, it had been a while since they stayed at Grams and Sadie was extra happy. She has a birthday on the way and was secretly hoping Grandma would give Saide her gift early. '' Mom how old is grandma? '' Her mother laughed '' old enough I suppose, I'm not exactly sure but I believe she's almost 70 now Jesus'' Arya chimed in '' OMG that is just so old mom ugh I can't even imagine '' as all three lady's laughed out loud for a good while It was cute bonding over Grams decrepitude old age that we all secretly fear deep deep down. They were getting close, and thank God both girls needed to Strech very badly. The car ride was long, and they were cramped both girls were starting to perk up they couldn't wait! to see grandma.
When they pulled into the driveway immediately girls unbuckled, they knew where they were. Her driveway was long and paved with stone. Stone that lead up to a beautiful house at the end of the road. Nothing but green grass to see for miles all leading up to the Two-story yellow farmhouse that just always seemed to look perfect, her neighbor Mr. swan had maintained the lawn for years after pa died. As they got closer to the house mom started going thru her usually fascist speech '' Now remember girls help gram out, pick up after yourself. The last thing I want to hear from my mother is that you two gave her a hard time. Please be polite do not talk back and most of just try not to fight''. The car pulled up to the house and Grandma was already on the porch smiling and waving. Mom turned the car off and ran to hug her mother grandma started screaming '' Becky my baby Becky come her and give me a hug it's been too long, where my granddaughters let me get a look at them! the girls went running to gram it had been so long! they couldn't believe how nothing had seemed to change. It was just as they remembered Arya couldn't shut up '' Gram I missed your house so much I forgot how big it is ''. Sadie jumping in '' yeah this is great I can't believe we get to spend the entire weekend; I missed you ''
'' I missed you too sweetheart both of you! I am so excited to get some quality time in with me little buttons''. The girls and gram went inside to much excitement and the girls were dying of thirst. mom was grabbing some stuff from the car when her phone rang.
Dad '' Hey babe how you doing you guys make it okay? ''
Mom '' Yes! were fine we just got here the girls are so happy ''
Dad '' Good babe good! just wanted to check in on my Babys I love you guys have fun, text me when you take off ''
Mon '' okay I love you honey bye ''
