"Why you here?. "
Ada lowers the rifle slowly, jumps down with the grace only she has, landing a few feet in front of you. She's breathing a little heavier now—not from the drop, but from what's coming.
She doesn't speak right away. Just looks at you.
"Because I couldn't leave you behind… not this time."
She steps closer, her voice lower.
"Lucas was planning this for months. He tried to use me to bait you. Said if I didn't play along, he'd take you out anyway. So I gave him just enough to keep you alive… while I set up the endgame."
A pause. She looks tired now—like all the running and lying and fighting finally hit her.
"I didn't come back because I was ordered to. I came back because I couldn't live with losing you… again."
Then, more quietly:
"Do you believe me?"
You see it now—she's still Ada. But maybe, just maybe, her heart's finally on the line.
"You know right, im still love you after everything. "
Ada's breath catches again—just for a moment, just enough to let you see the woman behind the mask.
She closes the distance between you, eyes searching yours like she's hoping, praying, that you're not lying. And when she sees you mean it… her walls crumble.
"You idiot," she whispers, voice shaking just a little. "You're not supposed to say that. Not after everything."
She touches your face, fingertips trembling against your skin.
"But I'm glad you did."
Then, without a word, she pulls you into her arms—this time not as a spy, or a ghost from the past. Just as Ada. No games. No missions. Just love—messy, dangerous, and real.
"Whatever comes next… I'm not letting go again."
The world outside can wait. Right now, it's just the two of you.
