"A encounter like ours"
Life is full of unexpected encounters, moments that seem fleeting but somehow leave a mark. That's why they say first impressions are everything. We cross paths, bump into, and interact with people on the bus, the train, the street, in stores... Casual meetings that, for most, don't mean anything because the chances of seeing those people again are slim.
But let me be honest with you: I believe in destiny. I think that when something doesn't happen, no matter how deeply you wish for it, there's a reason behind it. Maybe it wasn't meant for you, or perhaps you needed to wait a bit longer for it to naturally fall into place in your life.
A book I recently read made me reflect on this: you have to flow like a river, without facing worries, desires, or storms too hastily. Let them flow in your mind, analyze them, breathe. And if your wishes don't come to pass, maybe others will. Maybe a situation didn't unfold because it wasn't the right time, or because it wasn't meant to be. If something interrupts the worries that haunt your mind, let it; it gives you time to think things through. Don't let the storm control your waters.
Many events throughout my short life have made me increasingly believe in this. If you find yourself meeting someone on more than two or three occasions, it's likely not a mere coincidence, but that fate is trying to tell you something—either to you or to that person. Perhaps it prevented you from dwelling on something that later might have harmed you or protected you from danger.
Or even that someone... could become someone very important in your life.
Because the most unexpected meetings are often the ones that last the longest.
Like ours, my love.
Yours truly, Christine, your enamoured one.
