Chapter 33 - Pt.33: Assault on Mournvale – The Spark of Eternity

Arrival at the Fortress of Silence

The Eternum Fleet emerged from the Rift Corridor, piercing the warped fog surrounding Mournvale, the largest Endwalker stronghold ever recorded.

The void around the fortress was suffocating.

It wasn't space—it was dead thought, discarded realities condensed into spiraling nothingness. The fortress itself loomed like a massive, rusted cathedral, tethered to black holes and broken time-streams.

> MISSION INITIATED: OPERATION GATEBREAKER

OBJECTIVE: Breach Mournvale. Sever its Erasure Core. Collapse Endwalker Nexus Web.

Liam stood at the prow of the Valorpoint, his cloak glowing with Genesis Flame, flanked by Kaidon and Trinity.

Elena's voice echoed from comms.

"We've got Endwalker Spires activating—dozens of them. Each one's tethered to collapsed timelines."

Dante grinned. "Good. More to burn."

Kaidon's golden chain unraveled midair.

"We're cutting every anchor they have."

---

The Battle Begins

The Valorpoint descended, unleashing Titan squads and Celestial-class Aether shells.

The sky ignited in war.

Seraphine Duskblade danced between Void tendrils, turning enemy energy back on itself.

General N'Koro led his augmented battalion into the lower spire, collapsing memory fields and stabilizing reality around his troops.

Reed Maddox anchored the phasing gates, making sure no Endwalker slipped into alternate layers.

Liam and the Twins punched through the main gate.

> BREACH SUCCESSFUL: ENTERING MOURNVALE CORE SECTOR.

WARNING: NULL SIGNAL DETECTED.

---

The Warden Awaits

As they entered, silence fell like gravity.

A single figure stood within the Erasure Core—

Cloaked in robes of flickering thought, adorned with chains of vanished names.

> IDENTIFIED: ENDWALKER GENERAL – MALTHORUN, THE WARDEN OF FORGOTTEN FATES

Power Class: Nullbound Commander

"You walk with the Flame," it hissed. "But fire dies. And names fade."

Liam stepped forward, flame surging around him.

"Then let me show you what happens when memory burns brighter than oblivion."

Malthorun raised both hands.

Suddenly, every lost version of Liam Carter—every possible failure, every forgotten path—was pulled into the room, surrounding him.

Kaidon's face twisted.

"They're trying to drown you in your own history!"

---

Chains and Flame – The Counterstrike

Trinity raised her silver chain and slammed it into the ground.

"Anchor him to now!"

Kaidon followed, casting his golden chain upward, binding the false Liams in loops of destiny.

Liam roared, Genesis Flame erupting from within.

His real self burned the illusions away with sheer defiance.

He launched toward Malthorun, who now wielded a scythe made of unwritten time.

They clashed.

Each strike between them shattered echoes of unrealized futures.

But Liam was done being haunted by what might've been.

He reached into the core of his flame—

And took one step further.

> GENESIS CORE: LIMIT REACHED

OVERRIDE REQUESTED: ETERNAL GODSPARK ACCESS

WARNING: Unstable. Reality Cost High. Do you accept?

Liam clenched his teeth.

"Do it."

---

The Eternal Godspark Ignites

A pulse of light brighter than memory exploded from Liam's chest.

His body became the conduit for something older than timelines—

A moment of pure potential.

> ETERNAL GODSPARK AWAKENED

You are no longer bound by probability. You are now a creator of outcomes.

Time itself recoiled.

Malthorun staggered, whispering, "What are you?"

Liam's voice came like thunder.

"The choice you couldn't erase."

He lunged, igniting Godfall with the Spark and driving it into Malthorun's chest.

Reality convulsed. The General screamed—not in pain, but in fear.

Malthorun disintegrated into raw data, his form unwritten from every layer of existence.

---

Collapse of Mournvale

With the Warden gone, Trinity and Kaidon wrapped the Chains of Eternum around the Erasure Core, dragging it down into a stabilized time anchor.

> MOURNVALE FORTRESS – DISMANTLED.

ENDWALKER NEXUS ANCHOR WEB DESTROYED.

Multiversal Stability Restored (+12%)

Above, the fleets cheered. Across timelines, tremors of hope awakened.

Back on the battlefield, Liam fell to one knee, gasping—the Eternal Spark flickering faintly within him.

Trinity caught his shoulder.

"You shouldn't have been able to do that."

Liam looked up, sweat and fire on his brow.

"That's why I did."

---

The Quiet Before the Unknown

Back aboard the Valorpoint, the team regrouped.

Reed approached Liam with a pulse from the Rift Sensors.

"…He noticed."

Liam turned slowly.

"The Nullborn King."

Reed nodded. "Your spark woke something… it didn't like."

Trinity whispered, "We've shaken the void. Now the void looks back."

Liam stood, eyes blazing.

"Then let's make sure when it sees us—it knows we're not afraid."
