Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Rise of Legacy

Rain had always been a minor nuisance for Fujimaru Ritsuka. Nothing life-threatening—just cold, wet, and irritating. As he jogged through the narrow back alley toward his apartment, his breath fogged in the chill. He muttered a curse under his breath, hood pulled over his head, trying to avoid puddles splashing at his sneakers.

Then he heard it—a sharp cry, like a girl screaming.

His feet skidded on the pavement as he came to a stop. He peered into a side alley. A girl, barely older than him, was backed against the wall. A man towered over her, growling something incoherent. Ritsuka's hand reached instinctively for his phone. Call the police—

And then the man twisted.

No, not twisted—changed. His skin darkened and stretched. Bones cracked. Wings exploded from his back. A nightmarish transformation took over him in a blink, turning the man into a monstrous, bat-like creature straight out of a horror movie.

Ritsuka's breath caught in his throat.

But before he could panic, visions overwhelmed his senses.

Knights in glowing armor. Warriors in sleek, strange suits. Battles between monsters and humans with belts—belts like the one suddenly shining at his waist.

He staggered back, but the belt held firm, pulsing with radiant power.

A voice echoed inside his head:

"The Legacy begins with you."

Almost instinctively, he took a pose. The words left his lips without thought:

"Henshin."

Light engulfed him.

Armor snapped into place—sleek, silver-and-black plating with glowing blue lines coursing through it. His visor gleamed like tempered glass, shaped into a stylized crest resembling wings.

He had become Kamen Rider Legacy.

The bat monster turned toward him with a screech, but Legacy moved before he could think. He launched forward and struck it with a powerful flying kick, knocking it away from the girl.

"Run!" he ordered her. She didn't need to be told twice.

The monster rose with fury—but Legacy was already adapting.

The belt downloaded combat memories: strategies, instincts, stances from generations of Kamen Riders. His body moved as if possessed by countless warriors, each contributing their strength. He feinted left, ducked a claw swipe, then landed three rapid punches before leaping into the air.

"LEGACY KICK!"

His heel collided with the monster's chest, unleashing a flash of light.

The creature exploded into dust.

Silence fell.

Fujimaru stared down at his hands, the armor fading away. His chest heaved. He had no idea what just happened, but he knew two things:

That monster wasn't human.

And something inside him had changed forever.

One Month Later

Tokyo was buzzing with rumors—urban legends of a mysterious armored figure who saved people from "monsters." No one had footage. No one had proof. But the rumors persisted: Kamen Rider Legacy, the ghostly hero of the night.

Fujimaru had encountered nearly a dozen of those monsters in the last month. All shadowy, twisted echoes and appearance of humanoid animals like monsters. All hiding in the dark corners of the world. And every time, he transforms into kamen rider Legacy to battle and protect the city and its people.

Still, nothing prepared him for the call.

"Mr. Ritsuka Fujimaru? This is the Chaldea Security Organization. You've recently donated blood to our mobile clinic, and based on your compatibility, we'd like to offer you a unique job opportunity. All expenses paid."

"...What?"

Two days later, he was on a flight to Antarctica.

Chaldea Security Organization

Chaldea looked like a high-tech research fortress—sterile, quiet, and cold. Dozens of scientists, engineers, and agents bustled around, too busy to even glance his way. Apparently, they had recruited 48 other Masters, and he was the last to arrive.

Great. I'm the late transfer student.

In the main hall, he met Director Olga Marie Animusphere—a proud, uptight woman who seemed unimpressed by his casual tone.

"You don't look like much," she scoffed, arms crossed.

"I get that a lot," he shrugged.

She rolled her eyes. "No matter. Let's see how you handle the simulation."

Simulation Room: Leyline Combat Trial

The moment the room powered up, Fujimaru felt it.

Something was off.

A golem, massive and lumbering, materialized in the center of the room. The simulation called for him to command three Servants: Saber Artoria, Archer Arash, and Lancer Cu Chulainn. He stood at the edge of the field, controlling them like chess pieces on a board.

"Archer, cover fire!"

"Lancer, flank the left—now!"

"Right behind you, Saber!"

His commands were crisp and effective. Years of tactical games, quick thinking, and combat reflexes from his Rider memories made him sharper than the average rookie.

But then the golem roared and charged through Cu's guard, trying to reach Fujimaru.

Ritsuka's belt shimmered to life.

"Do not hesitate, Rider. This is your path."

He stepped onto the field.

Olga shouted from the command center, "What do you think you're doing?! This is a simulation—!"

"Henshin!"

Light erupted once more. Kamen Rider Legacy burst forth in gleaming armor.

He dashed toward the golem, sliding under its punch and scaling its leg in one smooth motion. His gauntlet glowed with mythic energy.

"Legacy Strike!"

He punched a glowing weak point, staggering the golem. The Servants stared in disbelief.

Saber blinked. "What... power is this?"

Legacy leapt into the air.

"LEGACY KICK!"

The golem shattered on impact.

Silence again.

Then, the simulation ended with a success notification. Olga stared, slack-jawed.

"...What are you?"

Ritsuka de-transformed and scratched his head. "I'm... still figuring that out."

But deep inside, he knew.

This wasn't just about commanding Servants.

It was about becoming a legend himself.

And Kamen Rider Legacy had just entered the stage of Fate.

When the simulation ended, Fujimaru slumped into a chair in the briefing room and—like any overworked teen—promptly passed out.

A few minutes later Director Olga Marie Animusphere found him and stormed in.

"You! Wake up! This isn't a daycare—get out!"

He stumbled out, rubbing his eyes, only to run into a strange duo.

A quiet girl with lavender hair and a small white creature on her shoulder.

"Hello Senpai. My name is Mash Kyrielight. This is Fou... Fou." Mashu introduced.

The creature chirped adorably.

They chatted a little—Mash seemed kind, if a bit shy. But before long, another figure approached.

A man in a white coat and tinted glasses. Professor Lev Lainur.

The moment Fujimaru laid eyes on him, something in his soul screamed. A feeling of wrongness.

"He's dangerous..." That was Fujimaru impression of Lev

But Fujimaru smiled calmly and extended his hand. "Fujimaru Ritsuka. Nice to meet you."

Lev only smirked.

Mash led him to meet another figure: a tired man sipping coffee like it was keeping him alive.

"Name's Romani Archaman. You can call me Dr. Roman." Dr Roman let out a tired smile and introduced.

They spoke for a while. Fujimaru found Roman strangely comforting—genuine, warm. Not like Lev at all.

Suddenly—alarms blared.

Red lights. Shouting. Explosions. Chaos.

Romani bolted toward the control room. Fujimaru followed until a sudden quake shook the entire facility.

He rushed toward the source and found Mash buried beneath rubble.

No time to transform. No time to think. Just act.

With raw strength and desperation, he pulled debris away and helped her up. She was injured, but alive.

Mashu requested to hold Fujimaru's hands and Fujimaru did.

Before they could even process what was happening, light engulfed the room.

Fujimaru. Mash. Olga Marie.

They vanished—teleported to the Fuyuki Singularity.

Their real journey... was only just beginning.
