"It's creepy how students disappear and reappears nowadays in Mirae college ... it's seems there are some dark forces tormenting the school and the only way to stop this is to close down the school " A newscaster said whilst broadcasting live on the television.
"Damnit! Why ? ...why is everything going bad whilst am just in my 3rd year in school... Seo Minjae ...A class president for the architecture students said to his friend and roommate Kang Taeyang whilst turning off the TV.
"I think there must be a reason looking at how those dead bodies look...all of them has horror in their faces and eyes wide with their organs missing particularly their liver when found"...Taeyang responded.
Meanwhile in an abandoned school building at the eat side of the campus stood a girl in shattered clothes , hair messy and had tired eyes filled with both pain and determination.
Shin jiwon..the mastermind behind all the chaos going on in the college. Jiwon was bullied the moment she entered college by 3 popular girls, Nabi, jisoo , guimhui and Kim .These girls made Jiwon's life a living hell at college since they saw she was a weak student and an easy target ...they beat her, laugh at her and blackmail her emotionally . Nobody cares, they all saw her suffering and kept quiet minding their own business but now everyone must pay for keeping their mouths shut .
Each night ..jiwon opens the portal of the underworld with her tears and guminhos comes out including lust demons to feed on humans liver and emotions by luring them with their pain and fears.
She cries out loud and shut for help in the building dramatically just to get people to enter the building thinking they are going to rescue someone not knowing , that night will be their last night.
she makes them play a game where they need to find the villian... And she eventually kills them all and feed them to the demons and guminhos.
This went on for weeks and soon the Demons and guminhos stepped outside from the school killing innocent people on the street at night and lucky ones gets injured...soon hospitals got chocked and grim reapers had many souls to excort to the underworld .
This became a challenge for them too because people were dying before their normal given time and so they reach out to the head of Demon slayers , Juwon- to help them by providing a Demon slayer to the human world who will slay some on the demons to buy time for the others who are yet to die.
Juwon agreed and sent his daughter Saeron...she is the best demon slayer and could do her job clean and better . Saeron disguised herself like a new student and went to the school . On her first day , the first person she saw was Minjae and decided to get in the same class as him.
"Hello everyone ...the lecturer called out trying to get everyone's attention . " This is Yoon saeron a new transfer student to the school ... welcome her with warm heart despite the incidence circulating on campus"... He said and left the class.
So that's it ? Saeron wonderd to herself ..the teachers are not even teaching so why are they still in school ? ... Pathetic .
She went and sat beside Minjae who looked at her with curious eyes . " Which school are you coming from? ..he asked finally breaking the silent. "Em actually .. Busan college" ..Saeron answered nervously with a shy smile.
" Oh geez ! And you decided to come here out of all places? .. don't you watch the news? He asked her...
"Yes I do , and that made me want to come here .. it's seems am going to have fun here, since we have a whole 4k historical horror drama going on here". She said whilst picking up her belongings to leave.
"Wow.. you're bold ! I'll give you you that but make sure you stay alive and enjoy it "
Minjae said with a smile ..."And by the way , He continued .. I'm Seo Minjae, the class president."
"Nice to meet you" ..Saeron replied ... " Now I know why you look so handsome " she said with a smile..
"Huh? Why? ..he asked. " Because you're the class president " she said with a smirk and left .
That night was Saeron's first night at the college campus.Then suddenly, she Heard it , the scream for help . She rushed to the area and saw a girl going inside that building, ....she entered as well and to her surprise , she saw Jiwon eating livers with the other guminhos and also saw those lust demons ,...who runed after seeing her because they knew who she was.
"So it's you ! .. Saeron said looking straight at Jiwon. "Who are you ? And why did they run after seeing you ?" ..Jiwon asked.
"Just know whoever I am .. I'm your karma for foolishly putting peoples in pain." Saeron replied taking out her blade .
" Pain? Do you know what I went through ? How much I begged them to stop? Yah! Am the victim here so why are you blaming me ... can't you see clearly? Jiwon replied.
"I can!...but all I see is hatred and that hatred is causing everyone's pain...mothers, babies , parents and kids .. innocent people are dying because of your stupid revenge , and you are here doing nothing.. haven't you killed enough? Saeron asked her ..
"This is not enough! She shouted with tears in her eyes .."it has only began and everyone must die ! She added and vanished with the others.
Saeron went round and pulled out all the dead bodies and placed them outside the building ...then she saw the grim reaper coming to excort the dead souls . " Can't you do anything about it ? ...the grim reaper asked her ...
"We're not just dealing with lust demons, we're dealing with guminhos and I can't kill them . Also, I met the girl who is behind all of this ...she looks like she's enjoying herself and won't stop anytime soon." Saeron replied him and left .
Back to the underworld, the grim reaper consulted the head guardian and they decided to recruit members who will save victims who are about to die and recruite ones who will be guarding the veil from the human world and stop other demons from entering the mortal realms. They decided to look at people's profile to choose and after looking at their profiles , they chose;..
Choi Junseok... a male college student who lost his younger sister to lust demons. And they chose him because of his determination to get rid of them . Junseok became the head of the group.
They also chose Im Hanuel , he is also a student from Mirae college and lost his first love to the guminhos.
Another, Kim Yewon ..Her boyfriend was killed by lust demons and a student from Mirae college.
Lastly, Song Mira ...Her twin sister who was working as a volunteer nurse for Mirae college got killed by guminhos .
The reaper summoned them all in their sleep and told them ... "You're now going to be task to risk your lifes to save the other's from dying.. You were all chosen because you know the pain of losing a love one. And from today you will be called "The risk reapers".
He then turned and picked smart phones from a table and handed it over to each one of them .. " These are not just phones, these detects people who needs to be saved and their address, name and picture will appear..you will be given special ability which can help you save them but note ;
You don't have to use your abilities when there is somebody watching or Cameras." He said.
"Yes sir ..they all responded . Then each one of them was given a Cross sign mark on their wrist as a tattoo. The next morning , the woke up thinking it was a dream until each one of them saw the cross tattoo on their wrist and the smart phones on their bed .
That's when they knew the game has begun and they have been chosen to save the world.
Meanwhile, Saeron was also finding it difficult to slay the Demons since she's the only Demon slayer . She also consulted her father to let the head guardian choose allies for her . They gave her the option to choose the members herself and she also chose;
Seo Minjae, kan Taeyang - Minjae's friend and Han siwon..a boy who thinks he owns a gangband and always acted like a school gangster but was actually the scary cat. Saeron chose him because he makes her laugh always.
They were summoned physically because their task was the hardest one ...they are the guardians of the veil. They have to fight the guminhos and the lust demon and drag them to the underworld whilst preventing the ones there from entering the mortal realm.
Minjae, Taeyang and Siwon was summoned at broad day light and the moment they got there ...siwon was the first to pass out after seeing just one demon.
" Yah! Siwon, get it together .. we're not here to play" Saeron said whilst slapping him to come back to his senses.
"Where am I? He asked after finally opening his eyes... " You're at the underworld you jerk ! She responded and continued ...."just like how you see in the movies ..you were summoned here for an important role." Then she turned to Minjae and Taeyang who were too stunned to talk.
" You must be wondering who am I , and why I summoned y'all here .. let me break it down for people like Siwon to understand." She said with a cruel smile..." I brought y'all here because I'm a demon slayer and I need members to help me fight the demons and guminhos who are killing peoples in your realm " she said, ..."And y'all are going to help me do that wheather you like it or Yes ! ..she added.
Then the lord of demon slayers Juwon and the guardian of the underworld appeared...they gave each one of them powers and sword that can slay only demons and guminhos. Each one of them was given a special ability to help them do their jobs faster and smartphones which detects guminhos and demons present at places .
" From now onwards, you are the guardians of the veil ...go and protect the world. " The guardian of the underworld said as they all vanished. Saeron and the others came back to the college .. Minjae loved it so much and couldn't wait to use his powers and slay demons. Meanwhile , Taeyang and Siwon was scared as hell and wished everything was a bad dream.
Few days passed and they had begun hunting and killing the demons and guminhos whilst the Risk reapers had also begun doing their jobs ....
At the college cafeteria , Shin Hari ....a girl who is addicted to creepy novels and saeron's roommate was eating ramen noodles with her when she pulled out a book about the guminhos and read it out loud just to scare the others." Guminhos eat peoples liver and feed on their emotions" she said staring at the others whose concentration left their food to her ..
"Yah! Hari , have you heard of table's manners? One said ..." we're trying to eat ..she added and turned to face her food again.
Hari smilled and continued...." What if everything going on in the school is caused by guminhos? ... She paused and look around seing them literally interested "I mean people's livers are always missing when found , so technically it's them " she added.
" Enough! Saeron shouted at her ... can't you see you're scaring the others? Shut up and eat." She said with an annoyed face .
" Chill , Saeron.. actually there are rumors going on about who they think is behind all this " Hari replied...
" Who? ...one girl seated at the back asked out of curiosity. Hari looked around dramatically then leaned in and whispered..
" Shin Jiwon" she said...
"Huh? Jiwon? ..that loser? One of the bullies , jisoo asked surprisingly...
"Yes jiwon , Hari replied her and continued, "those who saw her said .. " she's hiding in the east building and rumors has it that she has created a game called " The final cry" anyone who enters the building at night plays the game and when you lose ..you get eaten by the guminhos.."
"No that's not true ...jiwon? The one who can't watch insect die is behind all the deaths going on ? Ha! I don't believe it " ..jisoo said and laughed loudly ....
"It can be anyone in the school but not jiwon ...I get it ...she's missing but probably her liver is gone just like the rest ..Kim said whilst laughing too..
Saeron looked around and saw them all laughing thinking Hari was joking ...."you fools "she said under her breath and stood up dramatically and left , followed by Hari .
That night, Kim, guimhui and jisoo got curious and decided to go inside the building to prove to everyone that... Shin jiwon is a coward more than they think and can never be the one behind the rampant death in the school but got the surprise of their lifetime after entering....
"Well , well , well ... finally my special guests
are here" ...a voice said in the building.
