Artoria Pendragon POV

As I now laid on my back I couldn't help but see my life flash in front of my eyes.

Of my time before unsheathing the sword of selection.

Of the time after taking the sword.

I had went through countless battlefields, crushed the tyrant that was my uncle, and brought an era of peace all that cost of no longer being 'human'.

The times with my precious knights of the round soon came to the front of my mind.

Kay my elder stepbrother who would always mess around with me when I was young and later advise me on things that would dwell in my mind. He did not make it to Camlann in time to join the fight with me but that was fine I would not hold it against him.

Gawain so overly optimistic, charismatic, and a terrible cook God even while dying I couldn't help but get slightly sick imagining eating another one of his signature 'mashed' potatoe bowls.

Then there was poor sweet Tristan whose life was full of tragedy succumbing to poison and treachery after taking his leave calling me out for my lack emotions, I found that I couldn't really blame him for that.

Bedivere the weakest of my knights and often criticized for his rather female looks but he was humble, gentle, and never let the words of his fellow comrades put him down.

Lancelot...perhaps one of my bigger regrets, he was a loyal and powerful knight without a doubt at least until he had an affair with Gwenevere. I was not foolish I long since knew the two were having an affair and I let them be because as a woman I could not fulfill the desires that Gwenevere had.

Agravain, my most serious and loyal knight who was the one that ultimately revealed the affair and was later felled by Lancelot himself.

Then there was my last knight.

My best friend since we were children.

Edmund, he had been with me since the very start of my journey from battle to battle and in many cases was the main cause of our victories.

He was also the only one who she could truly be herself around.

Out of all of her knights he embodied each of them perfectly chivalrous, loyal, skilled, and strategic yet I never knew why he chose to follow me.

He had admitted to once being a very selfish person and not caring for the nameless mass so why did he always follow her? If he didn't care about the country or it's people.

It was something that I always thought about.

I knew he was there in the back of the battle, I heard him screaming my name multiple times I wanted to break off from my duel with Mordred to go see if he was safe yet I did not.

Perhaps that was one of my bigger regrets I thought feeling something beginning to well up in my eyes.

Suddenly the wounds I possessed came to a halt, and I could breathe normally "wha-what is this?" I asked looking at the frozen battlefield around me.

A blue orb descended down in front of "Artoria Pendragon, do you wish for a chance to change your past?" it asked.

"Wh-who are you?" I asked unsure as to what sort of being this was.

It hummed "I have many names but in short I am the unconscious Will of Humanity, and I've come before you to offer a contract, I will halt the time around you and allow you to participate in what the magi of the future call the Holy Grail Wars, if you complete the war and obtain your wish from the grail, then you shall become one of my agents, and if you choose to stop participating then I shall let you pass on. What say you King of the Knights?" Alaya asked.

A possible chance to undo this tragedy that I caused...then "yes I accept this deal!" I would be victorious and let someone else become King instead of someone who couldn't even understand the hearts of her own people.

Maybe perhaps...I can lead a different life one that I never got to live nor enjoyed since Merlin's prophecy.

The orb pulsed once more "then our contract is sealed until you choose to break it, good luck King of the Knights for your battles in the grail war begins now," the entity stated as I felt a load of information trickle into my mind and then I began to vanish away towards the one summoning me.

No matter what happens I will ensure victory I thought.

A cool wind brushed against my skin as I instinctively reached for my invisible blade, already shrouded in its familiar concealment.

Holding my blade downwards I open my eyes to stare down at my master for the war "I ask you, are you worthy to be...my master?"

-end of the prologue interlude-

So now Artoria has made her contract and is in her first ever grail war (the wars before she participated in the Fuyuki Fate/Zero one)

And the MC himself is in Avalon with Vivan taking a much needed rest and of course beating the living shit out of Merlin.

He will be participating the grail wars, he can still be summoned but instead of being pulled from the throne of heros, he would just be directly pulled from Avalon with his real body.
