Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

The dark room was now illuminated by bright overhead lights, casting clear reflections in the mirror before him. Uchiha Yue, having calmed down from the emotional high of awakening his Mangekyō Sharingan, now stood silently, studying his own eyes.

In the mirror, a boy no older than ten stared back. His features, though youthful, already carried the hallmarks of the famed Uchiha handsomeness—sharp jawline, delicate brow, and a quiet intensity in his gaze. Compared to the future Uchiha Sasuke, he was in no way inferior.

But the most captivating thing was in his eyes: scarlet irises encasing a shuriken-shaped pattern—three curved blades that rotated around a hollowed center. The design closely resembled Uchiha Obito's Mangekyō, though Yue's had a gentler aesthetic. These eyes, unmistakably unique, now glowed faintly with a power that warped the very air around him, giving his handsome appearance a touch of dangerous allure.

"Heh… Mangekyō Sharingan, awakened at just ten years old. That's a full year earlier than even Itachi, Konoha's favorite prodigal son. Seems my so-called potential isn't the slightest bit inferior to his."

"And that's not even the most impressive part…"

Even as the thought crossed his mind, more information surged into his consciousness—whispers of instinctual understanding from the very depths of his bloodline. It was the Mangekyō transmitting its secrets. Yue's smile deepened, pride radiating from every fiber of his being.

In that moment, all the fear, doubt, and emotional strain of the past three months seemed to vanish. He could scarcely contain the urge to scream out in triumph.

Because the Mangekyō technique he had awakened was no accident.

No, it was exactly what he had envisioned.

Not only was it powerful—its potential was practically limitless. Far beyond the scope of conventional Mangekyō abilities seen in the original timeline.

Yue had long believed that if chakra obeyed spiritual principles, then so too did the evolution of the Sharingan. After all, the eye's progress—from One Tomoe to Mangekyō—was a direct reflection of trauma, obsession, and will. The Sharingan, called the "Eye of Spiritual Reflection," mirrored the soul.

So, Yue asked: If the transformation was mental, couldn't it be guided?

Armed with knowledge from his past life and insights no native shinobi could possess, Yue devised a plan. First, he gathered and sealed negative chakra to forcibly induce emotional collapse and awaken the Mangekyō. But beyond that, he delved into the psychological roots of ocular powers.

For three months, Yue ran endless simulations in his mind—imagining potential powers, dissecting his mental landscape, and aligning specific emotional triggers with specific effects. With constant psychological reinforcement and the subtle use of Sharingan-based self-hypnosis, he molded his mind into the ideal incubator for his dream power.

And in the end, it worked.

His left eye awakened the ability he had named:

Izanagi.

The forbidden art of the Uchiha. An ocular technique that blurs reality and illusion. Once activated, it rewrites the outcome of an event—death becomes a dream, fatal wounds vanish, destruction is undone. In canon, Shimura Danzo weaponized multiple stolen Sharingan to use Izanagi repeatedly, rendering himself functionally immortal in battle.

But Yue's Izanagi was not a temporary stolen trick. It was a true Mangekyō-exclusive ability, bound to his soul and refined through his own suffering. Most critically, the Mangekyō framework allowed him to bypass the original flaw: the loss of sight. His Izanagi could be used multiple times—limited only by the exhaustion of pupil strength, not the permanent cost of vision.

With this eye alone, Uchiha Yue's survival rate skyrocketed to an unfathomable degree. He could rewrite fate itself. Until his pupil power ran dry, death would not touch him.

But his Mangekyō did not stop there.

His right eye awakened a second power, one he also consciously engineered.

Izanami.

In canon, this technique was the counterpart to Izanagi—used by Uchiha Itachi to trap Orochimaru's Kabuto in an infinite loop of repeating illusions. Izanami didn't just alter outcomes—it forced reflection, growth, and spiritual surrender before release. A power that turned potential into reality.

Inspired by this, Yue refined his own version. His Izanami could lock a target into a recursive loop of key events, forcing them to confront specific truths or flaws within themselves. Yue imagined dozens of applications: a tool of rehabilitation, a battlefield tactic to neutralize threats without death, or a final failsafe against mind-control or genjutsu domination.

Between both eyes, Yue wielded life and death, illusion and truth—a divine duality. One eye to break the laws of the world. The other to enforce them.

However, compared to the original Izanagi depicted in the manga—where users like Danzo and even Uchiha Madara wielded it to rewrite reality temporarily—Uchiha Yue's pupil technique takes it several steps further. His version doesn't just alter an outcome within a set moment; it is the complete antithesis of Izanagi. Rather than turning reality into illusion, Yue's Mangekyō power allows him to do the reverse: bring what exists only in illusion into tangible, physical existence.

In essence, it is a true creation technique—something even the Sage of Six Paths might have viewed as divine. With this eye, Yue can materialize weapons, structures, or even constructs of his imagination directly into the real world, as if reality itself bends to his will.

He likened it to Shirou Emiya from a different world—"the projection magician" of legend. Except, unlike mere visual duplications or chakra-forged imitations, Yue's creations possess true substance. A blade he envisions doesn't just look sharp—it is sharp. With this ability, Yue no longer needs to carry physical weapons or supplies; his mind is his arsenal, and imagination his forge.

Of course, these two Mangekyō abilities—creation from illusion, and reality rewritten into illusion—are each formidable in isolation. Yet what truly thrilled Uchiha Yue was not their individual might, but what happened when they combined.

If taken separately, they might seem simply above-average techniques. But that would be underselling the true nature of the plug-in-level ability he had so meticulously crafted.

The real breakthrough came when Yue began to analyze the synergy between the two opposite forces embedded in his eyes—much like how Obito's Mangekyō powers worked. At first glance, Obito's dual Kamui abilities (short-range intangibility and long-range teleportation) seemed like different techniques. However, both were merely separate expressions of the same core power: Kamui's pocket dimension.

All of Obito's powers—phase-shifting, warp attacks, and teleportation—revolved around manipulating entry to and from that unique space. The true genius of his power lay in its unity.

It was perhaps because Obito's two Mangekyō were so harmoniously connected that his abilities reached a level far beyond standard ocular jutsu. The enhancements from Hashirama's cells only served to extend that supremacy—they weren't the foundation.

Inspired by that precedent, Yue took his own Mangekyō path further. Through intense spiritual cultivation and perfectly aligning both eyes via deep psychological conditioning, a unique domain began to form—an interstice between illusion and reality, visible only to his Mangekyō perception.

Within this conceptual world, which he now called the "Realm of Duality", the boundaries between real and imagined blurred. And it was within this dimension that his two eyes truly fused—not physically, but ideologically.

The result was staggering.

Now, instead of using his left and right eye techniques independently, Yue could blend them. A projected construct could be made intangible, then re-solidified mid-motion. An illusion birthed by Izanagi could take shape in the world through his alternate eye. Limits that bound other Uchiha no longer applied to him.

What were once rigid, defined jutsu became freeform and fluid—malleable, like ink on a scroll.

With this domain as his anchor, Uchiha Yue's ocular powers transcended conventional Mangekyō Sharingan. They weren't just rare techniques—they were a system, a philosophy, a living toolbox of boundless potential.

"Heh… So this is the correct way to awaken and refine the Mangekyō Sharingan," Yue chuckled, his eyes glowing with unrestrained power. "Those who merely accept whatever ability they're given are like beggars receiving divine gifts. No matter how bizarre or powerful their jutsu may seem, they're just finished weapons—tools with no future or flexibility."

He gently tested the shifting chakra in his eyes, weaving it into the domain once more. The sensation that flooded him was almost divine—like holding omnipotence between two blinks. A sovereign power, born not just from bloodline, but from will and design.
