Chapter 5 - Zelis Daminhom

Though some in the crowd looked displeased by the name he could only saw those who were happy because of his name. his mother looked concerned while the old man patted the head if Zelis saying "you have the blood of the first emperor in your veins, am sure you are destined for greatness little dragon" although Zelis was happy to hear that from the old man he could understand what the old man was saying. To him it sounded like the old man was sick in the head.

Everyone started to leave after the duke looked at his last-born child before turning and heading out. Soon it was just Zelis his mom and the maids still excited for there young master.

They kept calling him young master Zelis over and over. His mom while still carrying him moved to the window and watched the duke entering his carriage and leaving with a sad expression on her face. Zelis looked at her quietly and watched her mothers' expressions with deep thoughts on his mind on how indifferent his father is towards him and his mother.

He knew from the stories he heard from the maids that his father values strength above all so he had to train and become stronger for her mother to be able to feel proud.

Zelis new that he can not grow strong without information so he decided the first thing he needs are books and many of them. He needed to know everything about his house his kingdom and even his new world. But the he can not do that because he does not even leave the room let alone the castle. For now, he just wanted to grow up as quickly as possible.

Lying down in his crib Zelis looked at the ceiling thinking of why he still has his memories or why he was reborn in this strange land. Was he meant for great things or was his new life going to be worse than his last one. Was he going to be betrayed by those he will come to care for in this place.

Lots of question run to his mind. He then remembered the novels he read back on earth of people in the same situations as him, he laughed at remembering how he used to say that all those stuffs are fiction and they can never happen yet here he was.

"in the novels I read the main character always had a golden finger or a system that pushes him and gives him quests how came I don't have that. Status open…. window…. fireball….as I thought nothing happens, maybe I should try and visualize mana will that work" Zelis closed his eyes and let his thoughts flow naturally. soon he could feel small particles in the air. The were many with some being cold others warm and others different than those. He could feel that he had to store them somewhere within him so he started absorbing them one at a time. Soon he felt a warm sensation in his abdomen and could feel the immense power he had in himself.

"maybe I should stop there I feel like I will explode from the inside out if I keep going. The authors from earth sure did know a lot of this maybe some are like me and are reborn, now I just need to practice how to use the energy in my body and maybe I can learn magic that way."

Time passed and soon the youngest Daminhom was turning five. During that time, he had continued to absorb as much particles he had not given a name yet as he could little by little he could feel the immense power inside him but since he did not know any spell he couldn't do anything with it.

He tried recreating things he had seen in his memories like fireball and ice arrow but nothing worked. He also started reading and after learning how to read and write at such a young age the maids were shocked as he had done it in a year so they started calling him a genius. Though he had a limited number of books he learned about his family and kingdom.

He also learned about magic and swordsmen who were the strongest in all the lands. He had decided to become a magic swordsman as it sounded really cool. He knew he could learn them after his awakening ceremony which was to be held at his fifth birthday.
